Bedtime Stories
No comments :
That's me, looking studious and all, just to please the mummy :) Mummy is into this bedtime stories thingy so I had to oblige her. She was just reading to me some nursery ryhmes... and my my... nursery rhymes are so painful, what with Humpty Dumpty having a fall, Jack breaking his crown while fetching water, and the baby whose cradle fell from the bough....
Anycase, I kinda like bedtime stories time cos I get to snuggle up to mummy and hear her voice :)
Nite nite all!

This is so puzzling??
No comments :
Hmmm... some says I look like mummy whereas others say I look like daddy. So who exactly do I look like?
The weird thing is that relatives from daddy's side says I look like him while relatives from mummy's side say I look like her. Hmmm, that's so confusing ??? I know, mummy looks like daddy and I look like both of them. That must be it :) Mystery solved!
Okay, I shall let you people decide for yourself.
(psss, mummy actually thinks that I look more like daddy esp the squarish face and small lips. She calls me sponge bob sqare pants becos of my face)
small Ash
small daddy
small Mummy (and she is still small now :)

Handprints on the Wall
No comments :
Came across this poem on one mummy's blog. Found it so poignant. Even at this tender age of 4 months, I find that Ash is grwoing way too fast for me to catch up and remember all his small antics.
In fact, sometimes, I fear that when I go back to work, I might miss out on some of his small developments. These past few months, I have seen him grow from a small infant who sleeps 20 hours a day to one that loves to keep awake and play. He has learnt to coo and "talk" to us, follow me around with his eyes, gives mummy and daddy his bashful little smile when we smile or talk to him, hugs his caterpillar fren, looks at Baileys excitedly, calls us when he is awake from his sleep, explore using his mouth, arches his back and thumps his small little feet in anger, and lately, even learnt to sleep by himself..... It's amazing what 3 months can do and I hope I will not miss out on any part of his growth...
Oh, talking about baby's hands.... just yesterday, when I was nursing Ash to sleep, he placed his hands on his "milk machine" (as if afraid that it will move away), then after a while, his hand proceeded to touch mummy's face. Wah, that was so sweet, as if he was caressing me and saying thank you.... hmmm, the joys of motherhood. (although I know that might be a fluke move on Ash's part :P)
But this morning when I awoke with Ash next to me, I caught him arching his back such that his face was looking at mine. When I opened my eyes and caught his, he instanteneously bamed me his sweetest smile. Boy, that's definitely not fluke :)))) I love that feeling!
Handprints on the Wall
One day as I was picking the toys up off the floor,
I noticed a small hand printon the wall beside the floor.
I knew that it was something that I'd seen most every day,
but this time when I saw it there I wanted to stay.
Then tears welled up inside my eyes,
I knew it wouldn't last
for every mother knows, her children grow up way too fast.
Just then I put my chores aside
and held my children tight.
I sang to them sweet lullabies
and rocked into the night.
Sometimes we take for granted
all those things that seem so small.
Like one of God's great treasures.....

My first swimming trip!
1 comment :
I went for my very first dip in the pool at S'pore Swimmming Club today. I was a bit apprehensive of the water but when mummy and daddy put me in the float and placed me in the water....It was FUN!!! Better than bathing in the tub cos there's just so much water and space.
Mummy, being kiasu, bought me the thermal swimwear... hehe, doesn't it look like the scuba diving suit. And look at my float, it's orange in colour, that's daddy's favourite color!
Erm, the float is a bit the big hor....
Looking a bit worried at first...will I fall off the BIG float?
Then thoroughly enjoying himself
even happier with my thumb in my mouth..
mummy, hold me tight ah, don't let go..
well done baby! you deserve a kiss!
Bye, that's all folks...
Zzzzz, swimming always makes me so tired. good nite!

My Encounters with Smiley
No comments :
Hey, I've earlier introduced to you my toy, Smiley the caterpillar. Couple of weeks back, I didn't really know what to do with it except to look hard at it when mummy shows it to me.
But now, I can play with Smiley by myself. He's curently my flavour of the month, both literally and figuratively
First, I hug Smiley...
Then I kiss Smiley
Next, I sink my teeth, um, gums into him
After that, he becomes my new headphone
Lastly, I sayang him back again
