Hahaha...Guess what? Fox Baby is having a sale...AGAIN. And before you can say 'zun boh?', I found myself in the Fox Baby store at Suntec...AGAIN.

Half an hour later, I'm the proud owner of 7 new items of clothings. Each piece only averages about $5. Cheep cheep hor? HAHAHAHA.... :p

Habits

1 comment :
Recently, I've got myself a new hobby, much to the displeasure of Daddy. Can't really blame him lah...'cos my new hobby involves plucking his leg hair!!! HAHAHA... :p

Yep, it's my new found habit alright...With hobbies like this, who needs waxing? hee hee...

Another one of my habits is to suck on my bolster cover string as I drift to sleep. I believe a pictorial example will be more appropriate.....

Yum Yum...somehow it soothes me and puts me in the mood for koon-ing. Needless to say, the whole string will be dripping wet with my saliva by the time I knock out. Hehe...

I'm also pretty curious (Mummy says kaypoh) to what's ever around me, which is pretty normal for a baby right? But, only thing is I'm also curious when I'm fast asleep! hahaha... I can't help it if I'm a light sleeper and wakes up to the slightest of sounds...

Take the picture below for example.

All Daddy wanted was to take a photo while I was sleeping. But clumsy Daddy made some noise which made me open my eyes. And this was the result...hee hee...

Oh, and let me introduce you to one of new pals...Whiskey the Dog! With a name (hic) like that, no prizes for guessing who came up with the name. Haha...

Mummy says I need a small soft toy to accompany me to sleep. Hmmm...But my guess is that her real motive is to place the soft toy beside me, so that she doesn't have to sleep beside me all the time when I'm asleep. :P

3 duckies, a High-chair & one mighty long Cry

No comments :
Finally able to sit on my high-chair on my own for the first time. :)

I got the high-chair as my '1 month old' or 'man3 yue4' present, courtesy of Uncle Kasi & Aunty Sulin. It's big and comfy; and Daddy says that when I've outgrown it, it can be converted to a mini desk and chair for me to do my homework next time. Kewl huh...erm, not the homework part though....

3 duckies - Papa Duckie, Mama Duckie, Little Duckie - these are fave toys for the moment. Primarily because they taste nice in my tiny mouth. hahahaha....

I love them so much; if you even try to take them away from me for the slightest moment, I'll cry my lungs out for you to see ah.....Grandma has already felt the power of that...hee hee...

Yup, that's me alright, posing on the high-chair.

Erm, has anyone seen my duckies???

~*~*~*~*~

Last night must have been one of my worst crying spells...ever.

I cried non-stop for almost an hour. Haiz...

Nothing that Mummy & Daddy did could pacify me...even the usual carrying and suckling did not help one bit. I'm not sure what is wrong; all I know is that my lower gums feel sort of funny...a bit painful too. I finally calmed down when Daddy gave me my teething toy, fresh out from the refrigerator. That made my gums (and Daddy & Mummy) feel better...

So it's no surprise why Daddy & Mummy needed to drink 1 kopi each this morning...hee.

Lazy weekend...

1 comment :
Had a pretty much uneventful weekend...We did the usual stuff; like going to grandparents' place, eating out, bumming at home...

Oh, and I did my personal impressions of the Merlion; I vomitted one of my feeds today and yesterday. Maybe Mummy fed me too much. hahaha... But me don't think there's anything wrong with me lah. On both occasions when I vomitted, it was because of one mighty burp... :P

Anyway, here's one of my many 'cheeky' moments caught on camera...hee hee...

Stroller Jr.

No comments :
I've got a new Maclaren stroller!

Daddy & Mummy decided to get a lighter alternative, so that we can bring it along if we go travelling. Hee hee... So for now, it's at my grandparents' place; for them to put me in when they bring me to the shopping mall opposite. :)

Yep, this stroller sure feels comfy!

Darth Ash

3 comments :
One fine night, while I was minding my own business lying on the mattress... Daddy suddenly had this silly (Daddy prefers to call it brilliant, BUT since this is my blog, I get to say anything I want...hee hee) idea. And unfortunately, I was the specimen, yet again.

This is Darth Vader (it's a cookie jar actually), the evil one from Star Wars, which coincidentally is one of Daddy's all-time faves. He has boxes and boxes of toys all sealed up in the store room, all of which were accumulated over the years. Oh, and not forgetting his comics too... No wonder Mummy keeps saying the storeroom is running out of space! Heh...

Mr. Darth Vader's 'helmet' can be taken off and guess where it landed?

Yes yes...I can't wipe that sheepish grin off my face

So as you can see, I was getting used to the idea of the having the helmet on my head. hahaha... Call me Darth Ash! *breathes heavily*

Baby Signing

2 comments :
Ramblings from Mummy Ash:

Noticed that Ash is getting more aware of his surroundings, in fact, he seems to be learning something new everyday!!! It's amazing how fast baby absorbs! Everyday when I return from work, MIL will tell me some new tricks he had shown off :P

His new trick of the week has to be his fake cough. He somehow realised that when he coughs, he will get our attention. (This could be due to his last bout of flu). So now, when he doesn't want to take anymore food, he will cough and pretend to vomit (this could be cos when he was younger, everytime he coughs, we will pull out the bottle and burp him). When we place him in his car seat and he dislikes it, he also will cough! When he is alone on the bed and wants our attention, again, he will cough. From this, realised that he knows the notion of cause and effect. He is actually able to rationalise, like an adult!

Ash is also learning to communicate through his tone and pitch of voice. When he dislikes something, he will raise his voice and volume. I guess it can be quite frustrating for a baby when no one understands what he is talking about. So, Mummy, as usual, goes to the net for a solution... hehe.

Found out that there is this thing called baby signing. Apparently, babies can be taught how to sign their demands and in return, the baby will be a happier baby 'cos his demands are met. Also, contrary to what I thought, it would enhance speech development. I'm really intrigued by this and would try it out on Ash. However, must bear in mind that it will take time.

If any mummies are interested, you can visit these 2 links:

Babycentre & Signing Baby

Apparently, this is such a big thing in the States that people run classes on time. Parenting in the States must be so much more challenging, especially, if a kiasu Singapore mummy was there... hehe

It's Monday Again...

No comments :
Mummy took my pout photo and added the following words.

(Click on it if you want a bigger version of the picture)

She told me she's going to pin it on her noticeboard at work. Maybe she should make a 'TGIF' one as well huh? hahaha...

Anyway, here's the sequel picture, after my debut angelic pose pic sometime back. A few people had asked how come part of my head was kena chopped off in that picture. Blame it on me lor... I was fidgeting about, plus somemore my 'sitting up' kungfu not really there yet. So Daddy had to chop-chop take the pictures lor...

Breakfast with Grandpa & Grandma

2 comments :
Daddy & Mummy brought me to East Coast for some buffet breakfast, together with my maternal grandparents. I haven't seen them in a week, so I kinda missed them... :)

We were early, so I grabbed the opportunity to pose some pictures with every child's best buddy, Ronald. I yearn for the day to come, when I can have my own happy meal (& toy)! Yum yum yum...

Grandpa & Grandma still not here yet...still waiting lor...
(Ron said it was ok to rest my hand on his leg...hee hee)

Yay, they are here! Grandpa was so happy to see me, 'cos he just came back from Thailand. So I'm guessing he must have missed me a lot. Hmmm....the kind of effect I have on grown-ups...HAHAHAHA.

Grandpa, Grandma & Me!

By the way, Grandpa bought me lots, lots & lots of baju from Thailand. Heh heh...more & more to dress up! :P

With the sound of the sea in the background, light breeze blowing on my face and the sun shining on my little fingers, I was naturally in a fantastic mood. So when Daddy asked for some happy faces, I happily obliged. Heh.

Daddy's fave shot of the morning!

Grandpa wanted to try to teach me taji but I was too distracted by the little doggies around me. Hahahaha...maybe next time lah. :P

After the adults had their fill, we went for a walk along the beach. I followed of course, but in the comfort of my nice pram. Shiok ah...hee hee...

It was a fun morning!

So what's the plan for next Sunday, Daddy?

Slidin' Good Time!

No comments :
Today, we attended a church wedding again. I was quite cranky in the beginning because naughty me didn't want to sleep in the morning; so I was asking for it. :P

But what perked me up later was the Slide at the playground. Mummy's friend, Aunty Maddy was egging me on to try the slide, so I onz her lah! hee hee...

So here I was, my first time on the slide...with a little help from Aunty Maddy of course. :)

Ready...Steady...

GO! WHEE...EE...EE...EEE.....

HUH? Game over liao ah? So Fast?!?!?

It was fun! So fun til I didn't want to leave the slide when Daddy said it was time to go home. Hmph! What a wet blanket...

Mr. Pout

2 comments :

Mummy loves this photo, although I'm not smiling. Don't ask me why, but I suspect it's because it's not everytime that I pout like that. Hee hee...

When this picture was being taken, I was being coaxed to smile for the camera. But I guess I was tired then, so I showed my displeasure. :P

***

These past 3 nights, I'm more prone to suddenly waking up in the middle of the night and start wailing my lungs away. Why? Beats me too. Daddy has to pick me up and carry me, while I drift off to sleep again in the comfort of his arms. Then...erm...I don't remember liao. :P

At least the frequency is consistent...once per night thus far. hee hee...

Going Potty

No comments :
Ever since I started on solid foods and had my first 'mashy' bowel movement last month, Grandma has been wanting to train me to do my baking on the potty. This is because when I'm ready to do THE business, I'm able to 'choot' signals to let people know. My eyebrows turn pink...my mouth goes into a convoluted shape...my face looks like it's gonna explode...I make funny 'mmph' noises...repeatedly.

You get the picture lah.

So last week, Mummy finally remembered to buy me my very own blue potty! And I'm glad to report that I have successfully initiated dear old Mr. Potty Blue. :)

Whenever I 'choot' my signals, Grandma will immediately place my bum on the potty and coordinates the 'mmph' sounds together with me. Hahaha...sounds funny I know but it works! Heh. She still needs to hold me on the potty though 'cos I still can't sit up on my own yet.

So here's me, in my full glory on my throne...a bit X-rated lah...hee hee...

Playtime...with my friends

No comments :
Yesterday, we went to Uncle Zhihao's & Aunty Sharon's place. They are good friends of Daddy's since secondary school days, and they have a 1 1/2 years old son, kor-kor Benji. Daddy's other friends were there too; Uncle Yongqing; Uncle Kasi, Aunty Su-lin & their 2 months old daughter, mei-mei Clara.

So many new playmates for me!!! Yippee! :)

But when they were either drinking milk, or napping...I kept myself busy with this green ball. Nothing fails to fascinate me these days...maybe that's because I keep trying to put them to my mouth. Hee hee...

Kor-kor Benji on his Subaru Impreza WRX STi; while I look on, contented to be the passenger...

Mei-mei Clara, who's looking for her mummy; and me. :)

Daddy had a hard time taking the photo below; primarily because it's no joke asking 3 young kids to look his way AT THE SAME TIME. hee hee.... So in the end, I guess mei-mei Clara was a bit shy lah... Probably because of the presence of 2 hunks taking a picture together with her for the first time. hur hur hur... :P

Check out kor-kor Benji's playarea siah...so very the colourful right???
I was so happy playing there....heh.

Home Sweet Home!!!

1 comment :
HIHO Everybody!

Daddy's finished with his reservist (YAY!) and we are all back home! :) It feels nice to be back...

As always, Daddy cannot resist taking pictures, even at my grandparents' place. Hee hee... But I also don't mind lah; after all, how hard is it to smile right? :P

So I just pose...and smile lor...

And guess why I'm so elated??

'Cos I have a new phone! Woo Hoo! The model is Nokia 8888, I'm told. Limited edition somemore ah...

Actually, I do enjoy staying over at my grandparents' place. 'Cos there's so many people to talk to me and play with me...Heh.

Oops, me think is time to sleep liao...
Better just shut my eyes when Daddy & Mummy peep in.

We went to Daddy's friend's place today, so I'm really tired. But Daddy also took lots of pictures today, so I'll make sure he'll post them up tomorrow, okie? I promise...*YAWN*

There...after some patting, I'm off to slumberland...
Zzzz....

I miss my own bed

2 comments :
I miss my mattress at my home...perhaps it's the familiar smell of my pillow & bolster that's able to make me sleep like this... :)

But at least there's air-con...hehe. 'Cos me think I sleep better in an air-con room.

I perspire. Lots. Just like Daddy. :P

That's why I have loads of singlets. Like this one...

Eh, dun anyhow-anyhow stare hor...Later I tangkap you ah...

Farley Rusks Make For One Happy Baby!

No comments :
Sorry for the lag in posting, 'cos Daddy's still in reservist and he's usually the one updating...hee hee...

Mummy was reading the singapore motherhood forum and found out from the mummies there that babies from 6 months onwards (THAT'S ME!!! *waves excitedly*) can eat biscuits already!!! Yippee, but of course, it's not those kind that you adults eat cos I still don't have teeth.

Instead, Mummy and Daddy got me Farley Rusks, Original Flavour. It's really very yummy, and it melts in my mouth.

See how I'm relishing it??? :)

I heard mummy said that they made it this way so that it does not break into pieces and I do not choke on it. Hmmm, what's this thing called "choke" that Mummy keeps mentioning? Is it that's why she refused to give me the small piece of rusks left, after all my licking and sucking? She said that so long as I can stuff the whole piece into my mouth, then I have to throw the small piece away. Throw away?!?!??!?!? NO!!!! Better hold on to my PRECIOUS...

That biscuit is so very yummy, so when mummy took my biscuit away, I started wailing....I was inconsolable....Til Mummy gave me a BRAND NEW one! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

I think they added a small amount of sugar in this biscuit, no wonder it tasted so nice. Anyway, Mummy was saying that there's no way of ruling out sugar totally, even the unsweetened Cheerios has some, so she'll allow me to continue eating my rusks! Yippep yippee, yeah yeah!!!
