My 2nd CNY: Day 2

No comments :
Day 2 and it's bai nian time again! And that means more photos too! :)

I'm dressed like a big kum today, very orangy...hahaha. But kong-kong said he liked my dressing today...so it made Daddy very happy 'cos he's the one who bought the clothes for me. :P But I told Daddy also must see who wear mah, correct or not? Not everyone can carry this kind of look off you know. Hee...

Yep...photos, photos, & more photos!

The last photo above shows me transferring sweets from one container to another. That has become my newest hobby for this CNY while I'm visiting other people's homes. Whther it's a ba bao he (or 8 treasures box) or a container with sweets, I like to transfer the items from one place to another. To Daddy's & Mummy's exasperation. HAHAHA... And do check out the solemn look on my face while I'm at it. Yessir, I'm serious when it comes to work. :P

Today, we paid visits to Mummy's granduncles & grandaunties; too many for me to recall how I should address them liao. Maybe next time when I know how to say it verbally, then I'll ask Mummy again.

Last stop of the day was at ye-ye's & ma-ma's place in the evening. We were expecting all of Daddy's maternal relatives to drop by to makan & toss some yu-sheng.

That's my granduncle (or kao-gong) in the fiery red shirt below. Wah, his shirt got 2 dragons somemore ah... VERY fierce. And beng. I LIKE! HAHAHA...Daddy tells me he cooks very yummy shark's fin & abalone soup too.

And so the adults began tossing their yu-sheng. And this is precisely something that completely baffles me. WHY IN THE WORLD ARE THE ADULTS ALLOWED TO THROW THEIR FOOD UP IN THE AIR LIKE NOBODY'S BUSINESS, WHILE I'M NOT ALLOWED TO DO THE SAME WITH MY FOOD????? This is so unfair right??? I donch care liao, next time I shall toss my porridge up into the air too. It's good luck too what, hor? HMPH!

Coincidentally, Daddy, Mummy & me are all dressed as walking kum quats today. Heh heh...but we look nice lah. :P

In the end, ma-ma was nice enough to let me try tossing the yu-sheng too; though I only got one chopstick to play...I mean, toss the chinese salad. But it was still fun lah...hahaha...

It was a tiring end to another tiring day. And today lagi best, I fell asleep on the way back in the car...and the next thing I know, it was morning liao. Daddy & Mummy must be laughing in their sleep again.

My 2nd CNY: Day 1

No comments :
Time really flies...

It's time to celebrate Chinese New Year again! (and of course collect money too lah :P) And for this CNY specially, I've learnt a new trick - clasping my hands together and moving it up & down whenever someone goes, "Gong Xi! Gong Xi!" I'm told that this is a sure-fire way to line my pockets with more angpows. WAHAHAHA...

Gong Hei Fatt Choy! 2 kums in exchange for the red thingy in your hand can?

How's my kungfu outfit? Nice hor? I received quite a lot of good feedback from my relatives...Hee hee...

See the photo below? That's me last year; at 4 weeks old. So tiny hor...I dunno about you, but I definitely think that I'm more handsome now. HAHAHA...not I say wan lah, my relatives say wan. I where got so buay paiseh to compliment myself hor? Heh...

Yup! I'm already a FOX fan at such a tender age.

So onto the festivities!

First stop of the day: Ma-ma's & Ye-ye's house. And that was also where I got my first angpows of the day! Yippee!

With the help of Mummy, I served a cup of tea each to Ma-ma & Ye-ye. As you can see from the photo above, I can safely conclude that they were absolutely ecstatic, to say the least. HAHAHA... 2 cups of tea in exchange for 2 angpows. Hmmm...that's a sound piece of business on my part don't you think? hur hur hur...

After the adults had their steamboat lunch, it was off to Por-por's & Kong-kong's place!

There were so many people there! And most of them wanted to see me walk, 'cos they all think I look so cute while walking. Heng I also got collect angpows from them, so at least I was paid for my walking performance. :P

Yep, so the photo below shows me walking and clapping hands at the same time. Not an easy feat at all...at least for me now lah.

Soon after, it was off again - this time to Mummy's por-por's (my Tai-por) place.

And it was here that I found my fave CNY goodie - the LOVELETTER! :)

See how much joy I'm having with my loveletter? It's those slim slim kind, not the usual thick ones; so it's very much easier for me to hold it in my hand and stuff it into my mouth. YUM YUM!!!

Daddy said for a moment, he thought that I was related to the Cookie Monster...

'Cos the way I handled my loveletter was the same as Cookie Monster handled his cookies - very messy and noisy. Hee hee...

After a long day ( & quite a few loveletters!), it was time to go home and rest liao... Mummy told me still got 2 more days of CNY visiting to go... WAH, sounds tiring siah. And it was indeed tiring for the first day 'cos I just fell asleep on the bed at 9.30pm by myself...all the way to the next morning! Daddy & Mummy must have been very very happy that I wasn't my usual awake self to ka-jiao them. :P

Xin Nian Kuai Le!
Wishing all my readers good fortune & health in the year of the woof woof!

Baileys is very happy 'cos this year is HIS year! Hahaha...maybe he thinks he can receive angpows this year. Hee...

We had our reunion dinner at Riverview hotel this year; and unlike last year when I was only 4 weeks old, I can eat some of the buffet food this year already! So good hor? :P

Yummy yu sheng that made me salivate...but too bad I can only watch. :(

As usual, Daddy can't resist bringing me for a photoshoot by the river. Actually, I gotta to be honest here...I was feeling a teeny weeny bit...OKAY OKAY, quite...restless in my baby chair. So Daddy brought me for a walk...with his digicam. Hahaha...how convenient right?

Well, turned out that the photos Daddy took are quite nice ah...

My 2 pretty cousins; Megan & Amelia

Ok ok, I have go sleep liao...actually hor, I wanted to stay up til midnight for the countdown you know. But my body not cooperative leh...So anyway, I wish all of you a fabulous lunar new year and collect more angpows ok? If you wanna give me one too, just send me an email and I'll give you my bank account number. HAHAHA...kidding! :)

HUAT HUAT AH!

Sneak Preview: My CNY Clothes!

No comments :
Here's a sneak peek at my new clothes for the coming Chinese New Year! :)

Some were bought by kiasu Daddy & Mummy in December last year, 'cos of the X'mas Sale mah...hee hee.

The chinese kungfu outfit was bought by Grandma & Grandpa when they brought me along to Chinatown on Tuesday afternoon.

Speaking of Chinatown, there were so many things to see there! As I sat in my stroller, I was babbling away to myself non-stop. Hahaha...

Anyway, the outfit was actually $18...but Grandma's bargaining kungfu was solid lah. She eventually bought it at $13! Wah... Power siah...pei fu pei fu! :P

So presenting my very own CNY fashion show...minus the model lah.

Nice or not?

I can't wait to wear them come CNY! :)

Ainsley turns one!

No comments :
Last Saturday was Baby Ainsley's one year old Birthday Party and I was invited! Of course Daddy & Mummy too lah; if not how I go? Haha...

Her house was decorated so prettily; with little butterfly cut-outs hanging from the ceiling. There were other babies there too; but I soon realised that I was the only boy there. How shiok is that??? Hee...4 pretty girls for me to choose from! :P

Well, not that the girls were able to totally distract me from the other temptation - food - of course. Which, as Daddy & mummy would tell me later, was very very yummy! Too bad I only sampled the tea leaf egg, baked rice and Ainsley's birthday cake. *burp*

After filling my tummy, I decided to play with balloons - to Mummy's dismay. HAHAHA... So I went around the house chasing after the colourful balloons but that got a bit tiring after a while. So I decided to try my hand at blowing balloons. So I just put the balloon in my mouth and waited for it to grow big. But it never did leh.

Then I tried to make small talk with Baby Jolene.

Acutally, I was more interested in her chain around her ankle lah, so I was trying to distract her. But that too failed. :P

What's a birthday party without a group shot of all of us babies right? But it sure was tough work for the adults trying to put all of us at one single place. Heh heh...

Well, not surprisingly, I was the only one looking at the camera. HAHAHA...

It was really a fun birthday party! Lots of food, balloons and babies - a sure way to have a fun-filled (& tiring) party! :)

Pasta ABCs

No comments :
Over the weekend, Mummy decided to cook something different again, apart from the usual porridge. Well, as long as it's yummy, I think I can accept lah. Hee hee...

It's macaroni again; but this time it's tiny bits of pasta shaped like alphabets. I can only recognise A ('cos it stands for my name mah...hahaha) but the rest of the shapes I tak tahu. I heard it's organic somemore leh but frankly it tasted the same as per last time. :P

This time, Daddy boiled the soup which is to be used as a soup base for my pasta meal. I saw him put loads of stuff in; like potatoes, carrots, onions, tofu & pork ribs. Wah...SLURP! Then when the soup was done, Mummy scooped the soup up and added it into my macaroni.

Hmmm...looks much better than the last effort right? Hahaha...

And so I tasted it...

It was...SEDAP!
Jin ho jiak ah! :)

The soup was sweet and very nice; and the pasta was soft enough for my little teeth to chew. So I herby declare it to be a SUCCESS!!! Die-die must try ah! Haha...And unlike last time when I went italian, I didn't do a merlion this time. Heh.

Best-est friend

No comments :
It seems lately I've been getting more & more attached to Daddy. Everywhere Daddy goes, I'll follow him. Everything Daddy does, I'll also want to do. Hahaha...

When I'm lying in my bed, trying to get to sleep, Daddy has to be on the bed with me. If he chut pattern and decides to sneak out of the room, let's say, to go to the kitchen, I'll find out really fast. And you know what I'll do? I'll crawl down the bed and crawl all the way out of the room to look for Daddy. Hee hee... Then he bopian lor, has to suck thumb and carry me back to the bed and STAY by my side til I fall asleep. Hahahaha... Or if Daddy really has to do something, like erm...bathe, I'll insist on sitting and waiting by the bathroom until he is done.

And speaking of sleeping, if I ever want to be carried to sleep, only Daddy's shoulder will do it for me (Sorry Mummy! :P). 'Cos his shoulder got more fats meat muscle lah, that's why machiam like sleeping on Dunlop pillow like that, so very the comfortable. Hee. And I'll drift off to sleep pretty fast, so I guess that's why Daddy's not complaining. Much.

Also, Daddy is usually the one who can pacify me quicker if I'm crying. Like there was this time when I slipped while trying to walk to a shelf. I ended up falling down and knocking my head on the shelf (PAIN!). Of course I cried lor, plus somemore got a small bump on my forehead ah; make me look like luohan fish only ah. Heh. So Mummy was the first one to pick me up but I was inconsolable...until Daddy carried me. And within 20 seconds, I stopped crying liao. Heh, amazing hor?

So why is Daddy my best-est friend? Hahaha...I also dunno leh. Maybe it's because he always let me watch my current fave videos - Crazy Frog & Dragostea Din Tei music videos. HAHAHA... I'm always able to sit through the videos, keeping very still and eyes firmly glued to the screen. Yah, crappy I know but the music and visuals still attracts me leh. :P

How about Mummy? I also love her! In fact every morning, especially on weekend mornings, when I wake up before Mummy, I'll always use my hand to caress her face and sometimes I sneak in a hug too! And I know this always makes her day. :) So whether it's Daddy or Mummy, I love them both all the same, just like small mouse love big rice. :P

Baby-friendly restaurant?

No comments :
Daddy & Mummy decided to try out this restaurant at United Square, since it is touted to be quite a baby-friendly place. It's called Globetrotter, erm...or is that Globetrotters? Hahaha...dunno got 's' or not lah...my tiny brain can't remember that many details yet, so I'm forgiven yah? Hee hee...

Daddy says he thinks it's opened by the same people who opened PastaMania, and it really has a huge playroom, just for kids!

Yupp, it's really quite big lah...got a big slide, a big car, and many other toys for me to play with. And their waiters & waiteresses are really nice! They'll offer to babysit the babies/kids while the adults are munching on their food. Which as Daddy & Mummy will tell you, is a truly BIG BIG BIG help! Hahahaha... I know lah, I'm now like a tiny gooseberry to Daddy & Mummy, 'cos they'll usually have to take turns to makan most of the time. Heh heh... Well, it's just too bad I'm so attention-seeking huh? :P

So as you can see, I'm having quite a lot of fun in the playroom. Hee.

Our only gripe? The food lor. It really didn't taste good, at best it was just very normal. Hahaha... Daddy ordered the mashed potato for me, and it was quite hard and sticky. After a few mouthfuls, I wanted to get back to the playroom liao. Heh.

But all in all, it was pretty nice lah...at least there was something to keep me entertained while Daddy & Mummy were eating their not-so delicious food. HAHAHA...

My 1st trophy :)

No comments :
Remember the cutest baby contest that I had won a few months back?

Well, Daddy & Mummy finally brought me to collect my cash prize & trophy liao. The people there wanted me to go along too, 'cos they say they want to take picture of me with my trophy. Haha...

So back home, Daddy tried to take a photo of me with my trophy too...but it was quite difficult lah. Hee. 'Cos either I was busy playing with the trophy or I was trying to crawl away from my sitting position.

So after countless shots & trying, Daddy finally settled on the following photo (though I didn't smile. :P)...

But at least I made up for it later with this seemingly posed shot. Hahaha...

Nice or not? :P Machiam like model right? Hee...

Also, I also just found out that my photo has appeared in another magazine! My 4th time leh...Hahaha... This time, my photo is in Women's Weekly (Feb'06 issue).

But too bad I didn't win the $100 cash prize leh...must be kelong wan lah...HEH HEH.
