My very first Baby Contest

Today I went for my first Baby Contest, organised by Chong Pang Community Centre. Daddy decided to just let me try try and see how I fare. Daddy said next time when my di-di joins us, he and me can take part together liao. Hahaha...



The judging criteria was pretty vague; I just went into the room and some adults asked me to stack some blocks, open a book, use a pen to draw on a piece of paper and eat a biscuit. I guess they wanted to test out our motor skills. And that was about it.

Mummy also managed to peep at some of my scores and saw that for the appearance portion, they gave me an 8 out of 10. WHAT?!?! Only a 8??? Should have at least a 9 lor... Heh. Kidding lah. Daddy thinks it should be a 9.9. :P

And so, after waiting and more waiting... it was results time!

I won for myself a consolation prize! Am I disappointed? Hee hee... Okay lah. As Daddy puts it, one mountain still got one mountain higher. At least never lugi our registration fee can liao. And somemore got 40+ contestants competing in my age group leh... HAHAHA...



One more trophy to my cabinet! :)

At long last! My 2nd time to school!

Finally! After an agonising 2 weeks of no-show, I'm back for my weekly lessons at Pat's Schoolhouse. Today only got one of my kaki, Timothy, attend as well 'cos my the other friend, Dylan, go jiak hong. Good life eh? :)

Today's main topic was about wheels... those round things found at the bottom of cars, buses, bikes... you get the idea lah.

And I particularly took fancy to this nice little bus toy, and I hogged it ALL the time. Until Daddy had to peel it away from so that other kids could play with it as well. At least my teacher, Miss Phobe, said I was a good boy 'cos I shared the toy. But I never tell her is my Daddy take away from me wan. Hee...



Then we had a storytelling session called 'The wheels on the bus', complete with the famous song that everyone with kids should know by now. Hahaha... I only sat still to listen for a grand total of 1 minute though. Then I was up and about, walking around the classroom. Somehow, I found myself drawn towards the tables 'cos there were toy cars on them. Yea, lame excuse I know. :P

It turned out that the toy cars were to serve a purpose for our arts and craft session. We were also given bright colourful paints and we were supposed to dip the wheels of the car into the paint and roll the car along the black paper in front of us. Something like this lah...



Racing toy cars & bright paints; a potent & fun combo! I like! Hee hee... So how's my masterpiece? Soleed or not? Daddy even made me leave my thumbprint at the corner of my artwork ah. Hahaha... so boliao right. Not say can sell at ebay. Heh.

Teabreak time was next! And today we had some kueh-kuehs and milo... yummy! And this time, the adults lagi jialat... got nothing to eat or drink! Hahaha... but I very guai lah, got share my kueh with Daddy & Mummy. I scared I eat too full, later will doze off at the music & movement session lah.

The music session was good; I responded much better this time compared to the previous one. At least this time, Daddy didn't have to carry me and dance with me. *cringe* I just held onto his hand and we skipped, marched, danced and tip-toed around the room.

Then my fave session as next - playground time! Hehe... and this time, we even had bubbles!



I also went on the slide many many many times, although I still can't climb onto one by myself yet. But who cares... coming down part is the most shiok part anyway. :P



Timo & me! Both of us had just recovered... and both of us also lost kind a fair bit of weight. But never mind lah, we both still look yandao right??? Hee...



Can't wait for next Saturday again! :)

Some overdue short trip

Daddy & Mummy had actually brought me along on a short trip over the Causeway in May; but lazy Daddy only decided to post the photos up now. Dunno why leh... maybe he ran out of things to post liao. Hee hee...



Yep, we went to Austin Hills Resort in JB for a short 1 night stay. It's just a 20 minutes drive from the checkpoint, so it's quite near lah... no need sit until backside pichar. And it's essentially a golf course cum resort actually; so that explains why I saw so many people carrying big bags... machiam moving house like that. Hahaha...

It's quite a big resort, with a playground and swimming pool. Looked pretty decent if you ask me. But the main shocker for me (& Daddy and Mummy) has to be our room. Just check out the size of our room siah!



WAH! So besar hor? All for RM200! I think next time can ask Ye-ye, Ma-ma, Kong-kong & Por-por ALL to come with us. 1 room enough already... but I must have my own pillow though. Hee.

It's a perfect place just to nuah. Let me show you...

At night, we went to the nearby Carrefour for some makan and shopping and then, it was back to the room to sleep! Eat, shop, sleep... Quite shiok lah... kekekeke...

Next morning, time to eat again!



And how can I miss out on my favourite activity??? So after breakfast, off I went to swimming pool! In my new swimming froggy shorts! :)



No need to ask also know lah... confirm I had a fun time in the pool. But Daddy & Mummy didn't bring enough of my water toys though. So I just had to make do with splashing the water with my plams. piak piak piak...







Overall, it was a nice relaxing short getaway; just nice to recharge batteries. Not that I need to recharge anything lah, 'cos I still just eat, play and sleep. Hee hee...

OH, and I am so looking forward to going to school tomorrow!!! I still have a slight diarrhoea though, but my nose and phelgm have cleared liao. So hip hip hooray, I'm off to school tomorrow morning! :)

I can pose again!

Yay! Daddy's digicam is repaired and finally, I can smile and pose for the camera again! Hahaha...



Oh, another thing... I reckon my pre-molars are hatching a plot to escape from my gums; it's really getting a bit painful. So I guess that's why I tekan-ed Mummy last night by staying awake til... are you ready for this... 3.30AM!!! Yep, I just couldn't get back to sleep after waking up at midnight, and so to while away my time, I played with my toys and watched 1 disc of Mr. Barney. Hee hee...

An uneventful weekend

'Ello my faithful readers... there hadn't been any interesting stuff happening over the weekend, so I guess that explains the dearth of postings. The only most noteworthy thing is I went to see the doctor AGAIN on Saturday morning! Haiz...

Why ah?

'Cos I had diarrhoea on Thursday and Friday; I made 5 milkshakes on Thursday & another 4 on Friday. So bopian, must go see doc once again. Turned out I had gas in my stomach, and partly my phelgm from my coughing had a part to play too. That's why I just zuo boh over the weekend lor. But now I better liao... can't wait to go gai-gai again! :P

Anyway, here's a video of me counting numbers... My fave numbers are 6,7,8,9 and 10 by the way; with my most fave of the most fave being the number 8! So auspicious hor... hehe... so hope everyone huat ah! :)




Yes yes, I also want people to clap hands after I say all my numbers... so that I know other people got listen to me count mah. Hahaha...

Back to Punggol Park

After Daddy brought me to Punggol Park on Saturday, we were back there again on Sunday morning. This time, Mummy also went and together with Por-por & Kong-kong, we had a yummy dim sum breakfast at the park.



Breakfast was quite yummy, mainly 'cos I had porridge there too! I actually had my own oatmeal cereal breakfast at home liao; but I greedy lor... see adults eat I also must eat. If not, I just sit and stone there meh? Hee...

Then after makan, we went for a walk around the park. And I got to play with my bubbles once again! This one a bit different, must use mouth blow wan. At first, I had difficulty in getting the bubbles out, but soon I got the hang of it and the bubbles just flew out effortlessly! I'm a genius I tell you. Hahaha...



I had a such great time blowing out the bubbles until I even dreamt of it when I was sleeping later that night. How I know ah? 'Cos Daddy & Mummy saw me putting my palm to my mouth while I was asleep and blowing hard into my hand. Hehe... see lah, sleep also dream of bubbles. :P



Anyway, my cough is better already; less phelgm, less coughing and runny nose is almost non-existent. Now must build up my weight again... 'cos my pre-sickness weight was 10.2kg and now, my weight is 10kg. Don't see the weight loss so small ah; my Ma-ma very sim tia wan you know... she said everyday slowly slowly make me grow heavier, but kena sickness one time jialat jialat then must re-start again. Hee hee... Frankly, I don't understand what the hoo-ha is regarding my weight. Later I become as fat as Daddy how??? :P

Terok news!

My cough doesn't seem to be letting up, so off I go to the doctor at TMC again. Haiz... Doc said the phelgm in my lungs is quite bad, so TEROK News #1: I've got to undergo something called the ventolin nebulisation! ARGHH!!! I hated it so much; especially the stupid mask covering my nose and mouth. Heng only need to put there for 8-10 mins only... 'cos I was wailing and screaming away.

But Daddy just bochup me and placed it over my face while Ma-ma pinned my hands down. See already also heart pain. Daddy said lucky Mummy not there ah... if not, confirm she cry along with me. Hahaha... I know it's for my own good lah. But then hor, after that, I didn't want Daddy to carry me... Who ask him to put the mask over my face? I donch friend him liao... must wait til he say sorry tonight first. :P

And so TEROK News #2: Doc said I can't to school this coming Saturday liao!!! Must stay home until next weekend then can go. DOUBLE ARGHH!!! I've got to miss my favourite water play session. What a total bummer.

And if that isn't enough, TEROK News #3: Daddy's digicam has konked out yesterday, and is now presently in ICU. Daddy says it'll be in there for a week or so. *sniff sniff* Jialat lah! How to take my photos??? But also good lah; since I still a bit sick... not glam to take photos. Heh heh...

Punggol Park Workout

Today, I was supposed to start my Pat's Schoolhouse weekly class. But my nose was still running and my throat was still coughing... so *sniff*... cannot go lor. :( Hopefully, they still got chope my place for me 'cos I heard next week they going to play with water leh! Wah say, so very the fun!

So anyway, Daddy brought me out later in the day to Punggol Park 'cos Mummy was feeling tired; so Daddy decided to bring me out so that Mummy could get some rest. I anything wan lah, can go out very good liao. Hee...



It was quite fun there lah; 'cos there were lots of open spaces for me to run about. And amazingly, while I was there, my nose didn't drip like a tap, nor did I cough a single time. Hahaha... Yea, I just love going out lah.



But there was this one time, when I was climbing up and down the stairs... I slipped and fell while coming down. Donch worry lah, nothing too serious... in fact, Daddy managed to capture my graceful fall on photo ah. Hehe...



And I continued to enjoy myself after that...





At the playground too...



Well, at least, this made up for my disappointment in not able to go for my class session in the morning. Hahaha... I think Daddy also enjoyed his time with me too lah, but I think he a bit shy to admit it. Hahaha...



Then later in the night, we went for a feast with Daddy's maternal family side at the Esplanade.



But the adults very unfriendly leh, order things like chili crab, prawns... all I cannot jiak. Hmph...

My nose is on the run

*sniff*

I've fallen sick again, but it's kind of mild this time. Started with a slight fever on Tuesday night and by Wednesday morning, my nose has decided to join in the fun as well and became runny.

What to do? Went see doctor yesterday lor... It's just the common cold, so no sweat lah! I'm still as energetic as ever... as always! Hee...

Happiness & Sleepiness

Last night, I went to Uncle Gerald's & Aunty Yvonne's Wedding Dinner at the Marriot hotel; which actually was the first time that I've been to one ever since I learnt how to walk (and make a nuisance of myself too).



And so when we arrived, I was in high spirits and started to wander about nearly everywhere. The stage was especially interesting and I had great fun climbing up and down the stairs, on and off the stage. Yes, remember I'm Ash-buay-paiseh-ton? Hee hee...

Other times when the stage was unavailable, I resorted to using chopsticks to make music with the delicate china bowls. But the adults were not exactly too impressed with my kind of music, so they confiscated my chopsticks. Bummer.



At least this time, I can eat some of the dinner food liao! So it served as a distraction for me. But not for too long lah... 'cos as the night wore on, I became more and more sleepy... and cranky too... Cranky means must carry... so I was passed around from adult to adult for the remaining of the night. :P
