Christmas Day walkabout

No comments :
On Christmas Day, we all went to jalan-jalan at the mammoth shopping mall - Vivo City. It was a sensible decision, with all the downpours that we have been having so far.

Actually it was more for the huge spaces for me to run about lah. Hahaha...

Look like model or not? Heh. I think I look quite hip. :P

Then in one of the shops, I tried my hands on this smart-looking cap.

Mummy said I look good in that. But too bad I don't like to keep my caps on my head for too long. I keep taking them off and putting them off. Many times.

Oh well, at least Daddy caught me wearing a cap on camera. Hahaha...

It was just a short window shopping trip lah; we didn't buy anything significant. It was just the adults' ploy to get me out of the house so as to let me expend my energy. Ok lah, I can't complain.

Yah lor, Daddy copied my dressing. Wonder how he managed to stretch a tee similar like mine to fit him???

Have yourself a Merry Christmas!

No comments :
Today's the day...finally.

It's time to open all my presents! And since di-di can't open his presents yet, I get to do it too! Hee hee...

Daddy & Mummy love the above photo a lot... they say it looks as if di-di and me are sharing a private joke. Hahaha...

Yay! After all the mandatory photo-taking, I finally get my chance to rip through my presents.

Di-di seems pretty pleased with his gigantic prezzie too. Heh.

Here's wishing one and all a very merry & blessed Christmas! Happy Holidays everybody! :)

Happy Birthday to my Kong-kong!

No comments :
Happy Happy Happy Birthday to Kong-kong! From the both of us, the cheekiemonkies duo!
:)

Today we went to have a yummy lunch buffet in Kong-kong's honour; and it was truly a very filling one! Until I thought I saw Daddy's buldging tummy... But his tummy always buldging lah, so hard to tell actually. Heh.

Then Kong-kong and Por-por brought me to this rustic old place where they had longkang fish for me to try to catch with a net. But I never try lah, 'cos I was just contented enough to soak and splash my way in the water. As usual. :P

And no photos too. 'Cos the camera batteries died. But I think me going back again soon lah. When the weather is not so cranky.

Then it was back to Kong-kong's house for the cake-cutting ceremony.

Yep, it's a log cake too 'cos I'm told tomorrow is TOYS GALORE DAY... erm, I meant Christmas Day. Hee hee...

The cake was sedap! It must be lah, since I walloped one and a half slices. Haha.

Okay, me think I better go to bed liao so that I have energy to rip off the wrappers covering my presents tomorrow morning. kekeke... Me suspect di-di is also highly excited by that thought...

An hour & a half to paradise... Part 2

No comments :
Okay, let's continue with my Phuket adventure!

The hotel room was one of my highlights of the trip, 'cos every morning when I woke up, I would strut out to the balcony and say a loud 'MORNING!' to the sea, birds and coconut trees that were swaying in the breeze.

No need to say, di-di was also very happy with the room...

And this was also when I learnt how to say the word 'co-co-nut'. Hahaha... at least it was educational! :P

Anyway, after we had a slight recharge in the room, we headed to - where else - the beach! And boy, was di-di dressed to the occasion. AND pumped up for it as well.

The fine sandy beach is accessible by foot or by this charming tram that runs down the hill from the hotel. This particular tram was probably one of the best highlights of my holiday. I LOVED sitting at the front of the tram, and being the driver and turning the steering wheel like I was driving a racing car. Hee.

And after each trip, I would point to the tram and screech at the top of my cute voice, "'gain!, 'gain!".

But never mind, there was the beautiful beach to look forward to. And wah, it was truly a captivating one.

There was no loud music blaring, no hawkers selling useless stuff and no rows and rows of sun beds in sight. In other words, it was almost perfect. Lovely, secluded, really fine sand, blue sea. It's my kind of place man. Hee hee...

And so, I quickly found a spot on the beach to put my sand toys to good use.

Daddy even took me for a little swim in the sea and I had a really good time kicking my legs silly in the water.

And so that concludes Day 1; I had so much fun out in the sun that I turned quite a lot darker after just one day! Ditto for di-di. Jialat lor... Ma-ma sure say how come I become so chao-tah wan... :P

2nd day was also, not surprisingly, to the beach. But before that, Daddy & Mummy decided to go to Phuket town for some shopping. And that usually means it was time for me and di-di to cacth up on some sleep. Hahaha... Aiyah, shopping is still boring stuff to me.

Then, we headed off to another new shopping centre - Central. Wah, this one is really a biggie... got so many shops. Anyway, what mattered to me was food lah and we had really yummy Japanese food there. And also, a very deliciously yummy sundae at Baskin Robbins!

Ok, think I better stop here... it's getting late and I need to koon as I overheard Daddy saying that we are going for a Christmas Party tomorrow. YAY!

Check back soon yah? If not, my di-di will be really angry... HAHAHAHA!

You'd betta come back ah...or else...

An hour & a half to paradise

4 comments :
Last Thursday, di-di had his very first maiden trip on a plane to somewhere not very far - flying time is just okay for a baby and an almost 2 year old uber active toddler, me.

The flight timing was madness if you ask me. 7.10AM! Don't know if the pilot can open his eyes by then or not. Hahaha... Anyway, as Daddy said; can't complain so much lah when the return tickets are $20 a pop. :P

I think I've really grown up quite fair bit ever since my last trip overseas in April this year. For one, I know what is an aeroplane now and for certain, I simply adore getting into one.

Well, it was pretty uneventful on the flight there - I fell asleep while waiting for the plane to take off. But I woke up about mid-way through the flight and spent the rest of the time looking out of the plane window.

Touchdown! And boy, was I in super high spirits! Hee hee...

Usually, most people going to Phuket would flock to Patong Beach, or to a lesser extent, Karon & Kuta Beach, which are jam-packed with amenities and entertainment. But knowing Daddy, we of course had other ideas.

Daddy had done his homework and found out about this hotel called Cape Panwa on the south eastern tip of Phuket which had been described as a secret hideaway. Ooh... sounds shiok already.

The journey from the airport to the hotel took about 45 minutes and I'm glad to say both di-di and I were pretty much well-behaved. (It's just the start of holiday mah... can't be too naughty. Yet.)

Soon we reached our paradise and first impressions? I just wanted to jump into the turquoise sea immediately! :)

The hotel is situated ontop of a hill, commanding panaromic views of the Andaman Sea. It certainly looks like a great place to nuah and most importantly, to put my sand toys to good use! Heh. Our room was superb; it was comfortably cosy with a large balcony overlooking the sea.

See how enchanted I was with the view?

Di-di was luckier though; he got the best view in the room. 'Cos his cot was just right next to the balcony. Hahaha... That probably explains why I also spent most of time in his cot too. :P

Oops, have to cut short on my travel tales for now... Daddy gotta work. I'll be back to continue with my adventures really soon!

Back!

No comments :
Hello everyone, we are back from our short getaway trip to Phuket!

It was a fun trip for both di-di & me, with loads of sun...

... and the sand & sea...

... oh, and not forgetting yummy food too! Haha...

See how di-di is absolutely estactic throughout the trip? Heh.

Of course he happy lah... every morning when we wake up, I'll read to him my story books you know. I think he enjoyed it lah... well, if he didn't understand any of it, he didn't show it.
:P

As usual, we tooks loads of photos and as usual, I've to let Daddy slowly sort them out and post them on my blog. Check back soon! :)

Shopping weekend

No comments :
Over the weekend, Daddy & Mummy finally decided to set up the Christmas tree. And being the kaypoh that I am, I of course wanted to help out with the decorations lah. And helped I did. I just balanced the shiny balls on the tree leaves, feeling that I've really accomplished something. Hahaha...

I'll pester Daddy to take a photo of di-di and me posing with the blinky Christmas Tree soon! Hee...

The other half of the weekend was spent shopping for Christmas gifts (It had better be for ME! Oh all right, for di-di too... hahaha!). And when were walking around at Marina Square, I got an unexpected bonus!

Apparently, the mall also had some children's show too; like the Barney show that I had watched last wednesday. Only thing is that I didn't recognise any of the characters leh. Daddy told me that they were the 'Little Robots' but I still blur lah. I only knew that I also wanted to watch them LIVE on stage too, 'cos I kept pointing to the empty stage and mouthing 'Robots' before the show. Hee hee...

So what's a Daddy got to do right? Hahaha... I got into the seating area, sat on Daddy's lap and clapped my way through the show. :)

It was really a nice show, although I wasn't too familiar with the characters on stage. But as long as there are giant puppets moving, coupled with great music & dance moves, I'm sold liao. As the show wore on, I even stood up and started dancing & clapping to the music. I'm really starting to enjoy these kind of shows! Which is bad news for Daddy. HAHAHA...

Yea that was Daddy's expression when I expressed an intention to the watch the show again at 9pm! kekeke... but common sense prevailed in the end and we went home to rest for the night. :P

Ayden muses...

2 comments :
HELLO Everyone!

This is the di-di speaking. Yep, I have taken time out from my busy schedule of drinking milk and sleeping to update all of you on my progress thus far.

As my dear kor-kor had already mentioned, I can flip onto my tummy already. One whole month earlier than my kor-kor.

Maybe it's because I'm fatter and rounder lah; so machiam ball like that... very easy to roll around. Haha...

My neck's pretty strong too; I can sit on my Bumbo chair for quite a long while liao. Unless kor-kor come and kacheow me, and tries to sit in the Bumbo chair too - with me still in it! This kor-kor of mine ah... Bumbo chair lying there empty, don't want to sit. Mummy puts me inside... he comes scrambling to want to sit inside. Hahaha...

Also, I'm getting more and more talkative these few days. If you really want to hold a truly meaningful conversation with me, try catching me in the mornings. I'm always in a super duper good mood then and I'll always laugh at whtever you say or do too - even if it isn't really that funny. Hahaha...

Okie, gotta go back and lim my white drug liao. Hunger pangs are setting in... Oh, did I mention I'm drinking way way waaaay much more than kor-kor last time? Kor-kor only drank about 80ml of milk per feed last time. And me? I can easily wallop 120ml in one sitting. Cannot fight lah... :P
