murmurs ArT

No comments :
Last Sunday morning, I went for a Art Workshop at the National Museum. Mummy accompanied me inside the class while Daddy brought di-di for some shopping.

It was spongy painting and there were so many different shapes of sponges for me to choose from!

Mummy and I had a great time dabbing and rolling the sponges on my piece of white paper. And my completed work?

Quite nice lah... hee hee...

The National Museum had also set up a playground for us toddlers and since it's free, why not? Hahahaha...

There were quite a lot of stuff for us to play, crawl, throw... well, basically monkey around.

I'll be back again the following day for another art workshop, but this time it'll be Daddy's turn to accompany me. :P

doo doo doo doo Dora!

2 comments :
We had date with Dora on Sunday night and thanks to kor-kor's influence, I've grown accustomed to Dora's cartoons as well. So much so that whenever I hear Dora's theme song, my little feet can't stop prancing around. Hee hee...

And so, there we were at Singapore Expo waiting for the Explorer to come out onto the stage. Luckily there were free Dora's flags given away to keep us happy and occupied first. Can you tell I was in a fantastic mood? Hahaha...

Soon the show got underway! YAY!!!

The show was called 'Dora's Pirate Adventure' and it sure was one fun ride! I was so absolutely totally immersed in the show that I even igonored Daddy & Mummy when they tried to talk to me. kekeke...

Kor-kor also loved the show to bits and as it was an interactive show, he was always shouting out the answers whenever Dora or the rest of the gang asked the audience questions. During the end, he even got up from his chair and shook his booty while waving his flag high up in the air. What a sight I tell you... I was also dancing but I chose to sit down instead. Hahaha... lazy lah...

Good show overall and we loved it! Even Mummy loved it 'cos she said it was one of the better children shows that she had seen so far.

Next up - BARNEY!!! Ahhh... that one my most of the most-est favourite! :P

Family Day Out!

No comments :
Last Saturday was 'Family Day Out' day, and we were lucky enough to be able to win some free Bird Park tickets courtesy of nuffnang.

So after a nice nap in the afternoon, di-di & I were obviously super excited to fly down to the bird park in double-quick time!

And first up - the Penguins! Confirm a favourite for the both of us. Hee...

See how the both of us were trying to imitate how the penguins walk? kekeke...

Duckies were the next favourite birds on our list and this time, di-di was mouthing 'Quack Quack Quack!' the whole time lor...

But the duckies bochap him, maybe his quacks didn't sound authentic enough. :P

Pink flamingoes were next...and think they didn't interest di-di though.

Then we visted a new exhibit of the Bird Park, called ' Dino Descendants'.

Yepp, those were ostrich eggs that I was helping to keep warm. Apparently, ostriches were found to be of some relation to dinosaurs you know...

Quite shiok to sit on the eggs actually... machiam backside reflexology. Hahaha... Well, at least til I saw HIM looking at me.

Oops, better don't sit on his babies liao... Dino Descendant leh, fierce man. And so, di-di & I proceeded to try our hands at uncovering fossils instead...

Next, we went to the Lory Aviary where I think it became one of my top faves in the Bird Park.

Why ah? 'Cos I got to feed the many many colourful lories there lor!

See how I was attracing so many lories to my cup of food? Their tiny feet were quite prickly when they landed on my arms though, but the ever-so-garang me didn't flinch lah. Unlike di-di. :P

Soon, the food ran out and we explored the rest of the aviary... by crossing this long swaying bridge!

Wobbly, yes. A teeney weeney bit scared, yes. But very very fun too!

We then whiled away the rest of the time by trying out the various birdie hats in the sovenuir shop. Heh.

Di-di looked absolutely adorable hor?

We then went to catch the last monorail ride back to the main entrance and while waiting, we stumbled onto this lonely wagon. So of course we jumped straight into it!

And started to monkey around too...

Train duly arrived and the aircon comfort was definitely welcomed! Hee hee...

Overall, it was fun trip out to the Bird Park once again and til next time, our feathered friends!

Congratulations!

No comments :
This morning, we woke early in the morning to attend Daddy's longtime friend, Uncle Yongqing's wedding. It was a church ceremony and Benji kor-kor & Sarah mei-mei were there too! At least di-di & me have got company... hee...

Di-di didn't look too pleased with me grabbing him by the neck huh? Hahaha... But take photo mah, must be buddy buddy. :P

Anyway, as expected, di-di couldn't tahan the church ceremony. So he was out at the reception half the time with Daddy... I joined them eventually, 'cos I was complaining that I was hungry. Hahaha...

See how I was gorging on my food, with utter disregard to the photographer? kekeke...

After finshing our food, it was time for a group photo before we made our way back for our important afternoon nap. 'Cos we still had to go to the Bird Park later! :)

Congratulations Uncle Yongqing & Aunty Yenling! Wishing both of you eternal bliss & happiness!

it's gonna be a LONG weekend

No comments :
Not the extra-public-holiday kind of long weekend though. But rather, the kind of weekend where we are going to be stuffed with so much things to do.

Tomorrow morning will be one of Daddy's longtime friend's church wedding so confirm we'll be out early. Then, it's off to the Bird Park 'cos we won free tickets courtesy of nuffnang. Hee hee... Remember the previous entry I wrote regarding 'My Favourite Family Routine'? Well, that was for a contest held in conjunction with the 'Family Day Out' event which so happens to be tomorrow. So, whole day burnt liao...

On Sunday, I have a Arts workshop at the National Museum in the morning while at night, we are all going to watch Dora LIVE! in her concert at the S'pore Expo.

Wah say, di-di & I are sure going to be 2 tired monkies come Monday. Thank goodness it's the holidays! :P

My favourite family routine

No comments :
One of the best-est activity that both di-di & me absolutely love is to head out to somewhere where there's the sea, sand (oh, and breeze too 'cos it's just too hot here these days yah? :P) and basically plonk ourselves down just to nuah the time away.

So being a long weekend, Daddy & Mummy brought us out to West Coast Park on Sunday for some morning fun (& sun).

And I was so incredibly excited that I even took along my soft toy, Brownie. Why ah? 'Cos Daddy brought along a tent!

First time I got a chance to go inside a tent leh... and di-di & me even helped Daddy to set it up! Hee hee... No wonder we looked so smug.

And since we were at it, Daddy & Mummy decided why not have a mini BBQ there too? Yippee, a picnic!

Since all of us just had our breakfast, we took the chance to walk by the coast first... erm, which was what di-di had been wanting to do ever since we reached. 'Cos he kept wandering off to near the sea coast to look at the waves.

Confirm di-di had a great time just running about... and screaming as he zoomed down the pathway...

... while I was just strolling behind, munching on my colourful M&M's. Heh.

I finally caught up with a vengence though...

And we spent some time watching other people fish which in turn I think made Daddy really hungry... so he decided to start the fire & cook our food. Which was not a lot actually.

We brought along some sausages, crabsticks, portobello mushrooms and that was about it. Hahaha... 'cos we were still going to have lunch mah. So just eat for fun only lah.

But I had such a great time dining in my tent and looking out to the sea... and I walloped quite a fair bit of the food lor. Di-di though, wasn't exactly a great fan of the hot sun as it approached noon and so he was getting a bit cranky liao. Hahaha, he just like Daddy lor... would rather freeze to death than to sweat. :P

And so after we finished all the food, which was quite fast, we packed up and left. But not before stoppping to have a shiok cold drink at the Macs there. HAHAHA... Daddy & Mummy promised to bring us on a picnic (with the tent I insisted) again; maybe in the evening next time so that we can stay for a longer time.

I can't wait! :)
