All Boxed-up

No comments :
Di-di & I each got a new set of wheels to zoom around in. And best of all - they are so lightweight and require no fuel.

Hee hee... that's Thomas the (box) engine chugging around the house. It's di-di's fave cartoon character now, so Daddy made use of a cardboard box to make a box-faced Thomas. Hee hee...

As for me? I requested a rocket!

Daddy thinks the smile of face looks exactly like the smile on the box lor. Hahaha...

Can't talk already... gotta go zoom in my rocket to pick up some passengers - the Little Einsteins gang! :P

night Fest

No comments :
Usually we avoid town areas like the plague during weekends; mainly 'cos Daddy hates crowds and jams. It gives him a headache, he says. :P

Ah, but last Saturday night was different.

We were down at the National Museum as they were having a Night Festival, complete with a night bazaar that not only has food, but also showcased many different types of childhood games that kids used to play in the dinosuar age; erm, I mean sixties and seventies lah. Games like goli, tikam-tikam, Old Maid card games, rubber band shooting... very unlike the computer games that I'm used to playing now. Hee hee...

The big brightly lit 'balloon' was what first caught my eye actually... haha... so confirm take photo lor.

While di-di was just happy to run about and explore the bazaar on his own. As usual.

Then we came across this art installation piece which was a very puny house model.

It was so tiny that I can't even fit into the door. Di-di lagi better; he tried to push his whole head into the door by force but was luckily stopped by some of the art minders there. Hahaha...

So what was inside the house?

It was a person! And a fully grown adult at that.

He was busy writing notes in the house and anyone can communicate with him by writing notes on bits of paper and slotting them into the house. Interesting huh?

Anyway, di-di got pretty bored after a while when he realised he wasn't allowed to go into the house. Maybe he thought it was just another Little Tikes kind of playhouse. Hahahaha...

We went to catch the Chinese puppetry show next, complete with all the chings-changs-chongs music in the background.

It was pretty good! Both of us were just standing on the ground in front of the stage, with eyes transfixed on the dancing puppets.

We walked around somemore, before I declared that I was hungry! And I already had my dinner lor. Heh. So we went over to The Cathay for some munchies! Which turned out to be Yakun, which is one of my fave currently. 'Cos got kaya toast & eggs mah!

See how I polish off everything... slurp!

Di-di was more preoccupied with the spotlights that were buried in the ground though...

But he did follow me later, when I went to say 'Chiak!' to the fishes after I was done with eating.

Games, puppet show, bazaar, makan - solid ingredients for a shiok Saturday night out! :)

Bar Stop

No comments :
We went to this nice little bar at Gillman Village for dinner, where we had our own pavillion to sit in and makan.

The only reason why I am blogging about this is bacause of this swing we had at our table. Which di-di & me had such a great time swaying to and fro while waiting for our chicken chop and pasta to arrive. Hee.

But when the food arrived, we stopped our swinging of course. Too difficult to reach our food lah. Heh.

Not too bad a place overall... food was quite okay; got open spaces for di-di to run about after he got bored of sitting down.

I was even caught on camera for stealing a sip of Daddy's beer! Erm, oops?

The verdict? Yucks! :P

Singingmonkies

No comments :
Nowadays, di-di & me simply adore singing. Sometimes in the bathtub, both of us will just break out in song and perform a duet. Usually it's either Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or The Wheels on the Bus song 'cos di-di knows the lyrics of those songs better.

So seeing we love to sing, dance and perform, Daddy & Mummy got a standing toy microphone for us! Hee hee...

That's me, showing off my vocals by singing the Little Einsteins theme song, while di-di acts as my sound manager. :P

We DO take turns having the microphone... We got share share lah. It's difficult but at least I think there's improvement liao.

But di-di treats it more like a PA system than anything lor. Hahaha... Most of the time, he just utters "HARLOW? HAAAARLOW???" into the mike.

Well, as long as I still get to sing my songs can already. :P

Farm Hopping

No comments :
This morning, kor-kor & I were in for a treat, 'cos it's FARM day today! Yippee! Daddy told us that we were going to visit a few farms today and kor-kor immediately asked whether we were going back to the same farm that we went to in Taiwan??? Daddy & Mummy laughed upon hearing that. But I also don't get the joke leh. Hmmm...

Anyway, first stop was this fruit farm that specializes in one special red fruit.

Yah, I sure look chirpy & happy.

So can guess what the fruit is or not? Maybe this flower will help.

It's the Dragonfruit!

There were plenty of other plants & vegetables that were being grown there too. And best of all, you get to buy the produce there too. Mummy sure bought a lot of dragonfruits back, 'cos it helps in poo-poo-ing lah.

OOPS.

Erm, back to our farm walk... anyway, kor-kor was more interested in the many tiny caterpillars that were crawling on the ground though.

There was also this tiny bridge over a koi pond that captured our attention for quite a while.

As usual, kor-kor wanted some fish food to feed the kois. But after Daddy threatened to storm up the very tiny bridge, jump on it to make it collapse and cause us all to fall into the pond, kor-kor kept quiet liao.

Kidding lah.

Kor-kor soon complained about the hot weather though, and he got the proof...

Yah I know, THAT drop of perspiration on his forehead not very obvious lah but still... it was still hot lor. I would have complained too if I could speak in complete sentences. :P

But hot or not hot, we still had time to take photos with a big excavator, on kor-kor's request. Hee hee...

Then we were off to somewhere where there was shelter - a place that I've been before but that was when I was still unable to walk and had to be slinged around. So of course I had to make up for lost time.

It was Hay Dairies, with loads of goats for me to feed! See giam kor-kor feeding the goats one stalk of grass at a time again.

I kept wanting the goats to lick my hands though, 'cos it sure felt ticklish. Hahaha... And I keep going back for more.

And I always laugh hysterically after that.

I even wanted to give one of the goats a bye bye kiss when we were about to leave...

But I was pulled away before I can do so. Darn.

Then after washing our hands clean, we sat down for a rest and to replenish our fluids by drinking some cold goats' milk. But I didn't like it, kambing taste too strong as Mummy put it. So kor-kor & Daddy had more to drink, which they don't mind a single bit.

Next and final stop was this frog farm!

No lah, we didn't go all the way to Jurong. Maybe they had moved... just like how Katong laksa is no longer just found in Katong liao. You get the idea...

You can actually buy the live frogs back and cook them to eat. Erm, but I think kor-kor & me shall just stick to feeding them for now. :P

There were also lots of fishes there, so both of us just happily let them taste the frog feed too. I hope they don't get a tummyache. Heh.

Soon, it was approaching noon and time to leave for Kong-kong's & Por-por's house for lunch.

And this time, I didn't express any unhappiness in not wanting to leave. :)

Maybe that's 'cos I had lots of fun today? Well, as long as I can come again! Think kor-kor would agree too. Hee hee...

Playground shots

1 comment :
Some shots that Daddy took of kor-kor & me when we were at the playground.

Well, one can never go wrong with bringing us to the playground! Hee hee...

I think if there isn't anyone to tell me that it is time to go home, I can spend the whole day at the playground ah. Hahaha... I've definitely got a longer attention span than kor-kor. :P

So it wasn't any surprise that I sobbed when Daddy said it was time to leave. Kor-kor, on the other hand, just trotted happily behind Daddy. But on seeing that I was so sad, he made Daddy promise that he'll bring us back to the playground again. Yep, my kor-kor is very sweet to me. Sometimes. :P
