School Concert Prep

No comments :
Tomorrow's my school graduation ceremony and concert. To think I have already been in school for close to a year now. Daddy & Mummy definitely cannot believe it.

Only in January, I was one crying boy when Daddy left the classroom. But fast forward to present, I'm always looking forward to see my friends in school every morning.

That's how fast children grow up, Daddy says.

Anyway back to my school concert... here's pre-rehearsal snapshot of me with my hair all gel-upped and face all made-up. For once, I can use Mummy's make-up! Hahahaha...

I'll be performing songs together with my classmates tomorrow, and we have been practising really hard you know.

I'll definitely put up my best show tomorrow, 'cos besides Daddy, Mummy & di-di, Ye-ye, Ma-ma, Kong-kong & Por-por will all be there to show their support too! Hee hee...

Bin-ah-leh & a Playdate

2 comments :
Long Weekend Day #3 - Kor-kor & I went to the Singapore Biennale 2008 at City Hall to get all arty and farty.

There's the Kids Biennale there, so no worries about us kids not able to appreciate the cheem art installations there. So while on the way up, look what peculiar creatures are lurking on the red carpet...

Those were worm-like creatures, which kor-kor said they reminded him of Creepy & Crawlie.

But kor-kor didn't pay much attention to them, 'cos he was just bent on entering the building to see the art as he put it. That kancheong fella...

I, on the other hand, was quite drawn towards these worms and happily patted, sayang-ed and even sat on them. Hee hee...

The place opens at 11am, and of course kor-kor rushed in. Hahaha... Okay okay, me too lah.

There were many pieces of art drawn by primary and secondary school students, and all were pretty impressive.

Kor-kor spent quite some time looking at the avatars above, which were made by Primary 1 school kids. While I was somehow drawn to this blue fish.

And when we got tired of looking, we got to put our limbs to good use in the playroom with toys that are provided by Ikea.

No prizes for guessing which toy did I hog for the longest time? Aiyah, the trains lor! :P

There were also lots of paper, crayons, colouring pencils, markers, etc... for us little Picassos to display our erm, abstract art.

Finally, we came to the windmill room where there were loads of windmills that were made by kids.

This room was very shiok lor... 'cos the whole room was carpeted to resemble a field of green grass, and together with the cool aircon, it was really nice just sitting down. No wonder Daddy didn't want to leave lah... hahaha...

And so to cap off our visit, both of us made a windmill each under Daddy's and Mummy's supervision of course.

Lunch was next, and followed by a nap at home. And when we awoke, it was a playdate cum dinner at Uncle Zhihao's & Aunty Sharon's house together with other Daddy's friends. Which thrilled my kor-kor to bits, 'cos he loves to play with Benji kor-kor.

Yah, I was in high spirits too... 'cos we were all watching Dora cartoon. Hahaha.... even the 2 oldest boys looked so serious. Hee.

Well, it was definitely a fun day once again... and a fun weekend too! If only every weekend was a long one. :)

Hatched

Yup, Creepy the caterpillar has been promoted to the rank of Butterfly!

He's quite a beauty huh... but on a sadder note, Crawlie didn't even make it to the cocoon stage. :( When Daddy told me, I was quite sad... for a very long time of 5 minutes. :P

UPDATE: We were intending to bring Creepy downstairs so as to free him. But sadly, he also didn't manage to survive for long after he popped out from his cocoon. *sniff* This time I was really sad... :(

Long Weekend Day #2

No comments :
On Sunday, we didn't have any programmes lined up as we attended a temple lunch function with Kong-kong & Por-por at the Civil Service Club.

And on the way up from the carpark, something caught my eagle eyes.

It was a koi pond! So of course I was clamouring to go feed the fishes lah...

Luckily for di-di & me, fish food can be purchased from the reception, so it was a good time-filler while we waited for the food to arrive.

The lucky fishes had an early lunch though...

Me think hor, that di-di is even more giam than me lor. 'Cos he only threw 1 pellet of food each time, and on top of that, he held 1 more pellet in the OTHER hand. I also don't know for what. Heh.

But we did have fun feeding the fishes; sometimes it's these simple pleasures that di-di & I find the most fun in. :)

Food ran out soon after, and it was our turn to head back to the restaurant for our own feeding.

Lunch came and went, and since it was a pretty hot day... Daddy & Mummy decided to bring us back home for a nice nap and if we were good, we could go swimming! Yippee!

Well, can go swimming... of course di-di & me will be supper guai lah! Hahahaha...

Naturally, di-di & I both had great fun on the slide...

... both on our bums and bellies... hee.

Well, nothing much to write actually... just wet & shiok splashing good fun. All the better for Daddy to snap furiously away.

I guess it helped that di-di was in his usual cute element.

Still want more sugary stuff? Here's more...

kekekeke...

BUT please don't ask me to act cute hor. My interpretation? Sticking out my tongue and pulling my cheeks longitudinally. Hahaha...

All in all, a fun day as well... Mummy said I talked so much during my sleep later that night. Maybe I was planning on where to go the next day mah...

Start of a long weekend

No comments :
Sources tell me that this weekend is a long one... which also means that Daddy & Mummy must rack their brains to think hard where to bring us for our weekly doses of fun. Hee!

And when the words, 'Bird Park', rolled out of Daddy's mouth, confirm I say 'YESSIR!'.

Hahaha... and so we went to Jurong Bird Park this morning, and di-di & I got to ride in the wagon once again. In case you don't know, I love going to the Bird Park much much much more than going to the zoo. Heh, maybe I simply adore the birdies more lah. Much like this owl.

Hmmm... how come the owl could come out in the daylight to greet us har? I would have thought he would need to put on his sunglasses first.

Anyway, we went on our way to the various exhibits, like the ostriches, eagles, duckies, and of course the big aviary.

Oh, MY old-time fave of course.

The lory loft!

Initially, when I started to feed the lories, they were all over my hand as if they haven't makan for ages. So I wasn't too pleased with all the flapping of wings around me.

So Daddy pulled me slightly away from all the commotion to a quieter spot, and so there were the guai lories! Hee hee...

Di-di still wasn't interested in feeding the lories (which is great since I don't have to share. :P) and was interested in only imitating how the little birds fly.

Watch di-di spread his wings and soar! kekeke...

As per last time, di-di again clamoured to be brought down to the the long hanging brige. Which I don't mind too lah.

Well, wobbly bridge or not, I always like to zip across it with di-di trying his best to keep up with me.

We then took a break in the aor-conditioned cafe to replenish fluids, and for Mummy to drink her ice cold tea.

There was still a bit more of the bread that Daddy brought along, so I decided to do a good deed and go feed some crown pigeons. Heh.

Di-di & I had such a great time feeding; but I think I enjoyed it more simply because I was feeding myself with the bread at the same time too!

See my half-full mouth of bread when I posed for a photo with a feather below? Hahaha...

We then passed by the amphitheatre and since there was a show going on, we caught a little bit of it so as to let our legs rest too.

And of course, it was time for silly faces too.

Di-di finally knew how to make monkie faces at the camera too. Good ah... next time I won't be the only one who will look silly in front of the camera.

After the show, I offered to pull the wagon...

... while di-di just sat inside like a king lor.

Very soon, my tummy was crying out for food liao... and so before we left for makan, how could I miss saying hello to my cute furry friends - the penguins???

And as if by clockwork, I always have to clamber up the penguins' statues outside the exhibit to take my routine photo. Hee hee...

Ditto for di-di.

We ate our lunch after that, and headed home for a nice hot bath. I wonder what other programmes are lined up for the long weekend? Hmmm...
