Saddle up!

2 comments :
On the third day of the Chinese New Year, Daddy & Mummy weren't working 'cos di-di & I didn't have school to attend. And it was a good thing too as ALL of us were entirely bushed after the gorging and festivities of the first 2 days.

So it was a bonus for all of us to be able to wake up later than usual and what better way to kick-start the morning than to have a hearty brunch. With a splendid view of horses no less!

We went to the Saddle Cafe at the Bt Timah Saddle Club, and it offers a view of the horses going about their exercise or riders doing their riding while I was busy stuffing eggs, sausages & bread into my mouth. Hee hee...

As I desperately wanted to take a closer look at the horses, I waited for our food to arrive rather impatiently. Ditto for di-di.

Finally!

No need to say... we both whacked lah! :P

After finishing my food, and rather quickly I must add, I was once again impatient to get out of my seat to go see the horses.

Finally, di-di & I got to see the horses really up close.

And they, especially the one below, were absolutely beauties!

We clamoured to get our photos taken with the horsie.

Then Mummy decided to join in too...

Think di-di really enjoyed himself, looking at the horses and most importantly, running himself silly in the vast open green space.

Me? I was busy collecting big twigs from the ground. For what? Erm, no reason lah. Heh.

Then, the posing bug bit us. Again.

And yes, we started posing and posing. And posing and posing.

Mummy, solo with di-di.

Then it was my turn, with Daddy.

Di-di thought it was getting too fun for him to be left out. Hahaha...

And one last shot of the day!

It's a really nice place for a lazy morning breakfast... think we'll be back again real soon. Anyone wanna join us? :)

CNY Day II: Food, Food Food!

No comments :
Second day of the moo-moo year, and the feasting continues...

Kor-kor & I kicked off the morning with a visit to Yi-kong's & Yi-por's house, together with Daddy's side of the family.

Look, Kor-kor helped Tai-por to her chair when she arrived... so helpful right? He even threw in one wet kiss too. Hee hee...

Well, it helped that he got a $10 tip lah... :P

The adults continued where they left off yesterday; feasting-wise that is... while kor-kor was busy going around snapping photos of everyone.

And I was also finding ways of entertaining myself... like putting my whole body weight on kor-kor.

We then bade farewell, and met up with Kong-kong & Por-por to pay one of Jor-Jor's brothers a visit. And yes, you got it right... it was time for more food once again, when we had our lunch after the visit. *burp!*

And since kor-kor & I had just recovered from our sore throats, Daddy & Mummy decided to bring us back home for our afternoon nap first before heading out to Ye-Ye's & Ma-Ma's house after we got recharged.

Daddy's relatives congregated there for the last stop of the day, and what better way to end it off than to toss yusheng for good luck. Once again!

Hee hee... and this time, I joined in the fun as well!

I didn't know throwing up food into the air could be so much fun! HAHAHA... I mustn't be left out again next time liao.

More makan later, it was time to head home. Heng Daddy & Mummy are on leave the next day... well, thanks to kor-kor & me as we have no school tomorrow. Heh. Time to let out tummies to go on a diet! :P

CNY Day I: Photos, Photos, Photos!

No comments :
Gong Xi Fa Cai!

It's the first day of the Lunar New Year, and all of us were decked out in our new clothes to welcome this special day.

New clothes also mean must pose for a lot of photos too... *scrunch face*

... so di-di & I duly obliged, with the big tangerines as props. Hee hee... must be obedient mah, then later can get angpows you know. :P

Pose pose here...

Pose pose there...

Finally, the angpow gifting ceremony!

Me think di-di was only too happy to receive his red packet! HAHAHAHA...

Then it was off to Ye-ye's & Ma-ma's house to bai nian! And in a long-standing tradition, di-di & I will serve Ye-ye & Ma-ma cups of tea as a sign of respect for our elders.

Well, whatever gets us our angpows I say. Hehe... Kidding!

And to kick-start our 2 day feasting regime, we had a quick brunch there, had our annual family portrait shot...

... and headed over to Kong-kong's & Por-por's house for our 2nd stop of the day.

Food was on the agenda once again, and yes, I wanted to pose for photos with Kong-kong & Por-por too.

I even joined Kong-kong for a short poker game. Hahaha...

No lah, I didn't play... I was more of a disruptive element; opening up Kong-kong's cards everytime they were dealt. :P

We then lugged our bursting bellies down to my paternal Tai-por's house, where everyone was waiting for us ...

Why ah???

So that we can ALL start to EAT again lor!

Yep, beside the usual food and goodies, the adults also decided to push the belly boundaries by adding good-luck yusheng to the menu. And since I can't say no when given a chance to play with my food, I too joined in the tossing game. Huat ah!

More photo-taking duly followed...

... before we made our way to the final pit-stop of the day - my maternal Tai-por's place.

By this time, di-di & me were pretty drained out liao... heng got Gucci to accompany us. No, not the bag lah... Gucci the dog. :)

After gorging down some more goodies, Daddy & Mummy decided to call it a day and brought us back home to rest. Well, it sure was tiring alright... di-di & I were zonked out at 8pm! Kekeke... at least the angpows made up for it.
