Austin Again

No comments :
Di-di & I love it when the weekends arrive, especially if it's a long one! Daddy & Mummy made a last minute decision to bundle all of us up north, to where else - our fave JB haunt of the year, Austin Hills for a one night getaway.

It was hello once again to the big big room at Austin Hills, and also to our beloved swimming pool & winding slide! No wonder di-di was in a superb mood too. Hee hee...

And if you are staying at Austin Hills, it would be a terrible shame if you did not pop by at the nearby Jusco. A place I would never be sick of going! Why ah? 'Cos of this lor!

Kekeke... yup, children's paradise! But of course, we had to go fill our tummies first.

Which was yummy shabu-shabu... or as I call it; mini steamboat. :P

One of my current favourite foods which counts sushi & pizza among them. :) And me think di-di's too, apart from his beloved fish & chips of course.

I couldn't wait to get started, but once I did, I quickly wolfed down my yummy dinner. And I was so bloated that I could have sworn my cheeks looked puffier.

But there was always a good workout waiting for us at the playzone in Jusco!

So many rides, so little tokens! :P

And I have recently taken an interest in playing these game machines that pit animals against one another, using animal cards or special power cards to defeat my opponent.

Which I can only get to play here, 'cos it is way too expensive to play in Singapore Daddy said. Oh well, better than nothing huh? Heh.

And while Mummy was off doing some shopping of her own, di-di & I wandered around the playzone, carefully strategizing and planning our assault on the many kiddy rides there.

I loved the fire engine one, which could turn round & round and move forward & backward. Di-di, though, was eyeing on one particular bus.

Which could take the both of us - very value for tokens! Hahaha...

As our tokens slowly dwindled, it was time for one last ride before heading back to our room for a nice snooze.

Next morning, and a yummy breakfast later...

... We found ourselves at the pool once again - a final splash before we headed back home with me wishing for the next long weekend to come soon!

Transformers Sighting!

No comments :
Tonight, it was just like any other weekday. Where di-di & I were waiting for Daddy & Mummy to fetch us after work. But then, sneaky Daddy sprung a surprise and declared that we were headed down to the Turf Club in the night.

It was all our first time heading down to the Turf Club, and it sure looked very big. There was a carnival there, with stalls selling knick-knacks, food and game stations for us kids to play too! Pretyy nice atmosphere I must say... especially since it was rather breezy there. :P

Holding onto balloons that were larger than our heads, we sat down on the benches just in time to see the race horses coming onto the tracks to show us what they can really do - gallop really fast!

Ahhh... but that was not the REAL reason for us to be there lor. Optimus Prime & Bumblebee were the main draw for di-di & me!

My buddy, Timothy, also joined us at the Turf Club - which was also a big surprise for me 'cos sneaky (again!) Daddy didn't tell me beforehand. :P

We were all too happy to be so close to the Autobots, and I even got to hi-five Mr. Prime. Teehee...

So we continued posing like the Transformers after the meet 'n' greet session...

... until something fun in the distance caught our eyes!

Bouncy red horses! How can we say no to them???

Erm, ALL that bouncing had definitely raised our energy levels even higher... Well, if Daddy could catch all 4 of us smiling at the SAME TIME at the camera, it definitely meant that we were all in such a fantastic (or was that fanatic?) mood!

Yup, confirm.

Double confirm + chop somemore!

Wahahaha.... so it came as no surprise that we were a tad reluctant to say goodbye to one another when it was time to head home.

But at least there is the Thomas show to look forward to next week! :P

Thomas & his kaki

No comments :
I know di-di's looking forward to the Thomas & Friends show next weekend. How do I know?

Hee hee... it's pretty obvious if you ask me. I'm pretty alright with Thomas lah; not exactly a big fan of him.

My heart is with some other robots actually.

Hmmm... looks like Bumblebee has a major tummyache hor? Hee hee...

Heard that Optimus Prime & Bumblebee might be dropping by tomorrow! I don't know if Daddy & Mummy got time to bring me or not leh... *cross fingers*

New Hairstyle

No comments :
Di-di & I didn't do anything much over the weekend - we just spent both days mostly at home or at Kong-kong's & Por-por's place.

The only interesting change was that di-di & I went to the, erm... barber to get our hair trimmed and I got a new look! :P

Gone were my slightly long hair at the back, and replaced with what Daddy termed as the 'primary school' hairstyle. Mummy said it made me look so much more boyish & impish looking. Well, I can't help that can I? Hee hee...

At least now I don't feel as hot when I perspire!

Di-di, too got a nice trim and me think it made him look so much cuter lor! Hahaha...

So now, with our haircuts out of the way, it is time to enjoy our holidays! Woot!

Stuffing Sunday

No comments :
Last Sunday, kor-kor & I went for a play - Swimmy, Frederick & Inch by Inch, at the Victoria Theatre. The 3 stories were based on the picture books by Leo Lionni, and the play was pretty okay for me but I guess kor-kor enjoyed it more than me. Maybe perhaps I was feeling sleepy after our swimming lesson? :P

The presentation style was much like 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' play we caught earlier in the year, which wasn't surprising since it was staged by the same performing company. So as per last time, the people behind the puppets came on stage after the performance to let us in on some of the behind-the-scenes information, like how they made Swimmy the fish swim so gracefully.

Or how did they move the giant nightingale's mouth.

Naturally, we were starting to feel hungry after the show, and off we zipped down to Sakura Restaurant at Clementi Woods Park for a yummy lunch buffet with Ye-ye, Ma-ma & Ku-jie!

It was Ma-ma's birthday lunch treat and boy, did we absolutely stuff ourselves! Hee hee...

We were so full that kor-kor & I had to go monkie around the park after our meal so as to work off our bulging tummies! :P

And after that, a nap would do just fine thank you very much! Hahaha!

Walking into a Christmas Tree

No comments :
No, di-di & I didn't langar a Christmas Tree or anything like that. :P

We were down at Orchard Road last Saturday night to catch an early glimpse of the Christmas Light-up. And if you know us, you would know that to get Daddy to head on down to town on a Weekend is like asking the pandas from China to come stay in our zoo. Zilch chance.

Oh wait.

That already happened, didn't it?

Erm, which explained why we were down at Orchard Road a busy and crowded Saturday evening! Wahaha!

The usual Orchard Light-up aside, this year marks the first year ION Orchard is celebrating Christmas. And what better way to attract all the attention than to have a huge tree planted outside with a hollow body for people to walk in!

Yup, we were able to walk inside the tree to gaze upwards at all the pretty lighting within the tree.

Absolutely mesmerizing, if u ask me.

And it must have hypnotized di-di, 'cos he didn't want us to bug him to take photos. :P

Well, he did eventually. Possibly 'cos his neck got tired I suppose. Hee.

We lingered around the area a while more, before we took the slow walk down Orchard Road to admire the street light-up.

Which was pretty nice this year. Well, at least, it had di-di & me straining our necks to look up (again!) and around, especially whenever we passed these huge balls.

But nothing beats the air-con comfort of the shopping malls lah. OR at least that's what Daddy said. :P

Maybe we'll be back again once again when Christmas draws nearer. Or maybe not since it can only get more crowded. OR maybe, just maybe when the dinosaurs decide to invade the Jurong Bird Park.

OH.

They are coming huh?

Hee.
