Foam Party

No comments :
Well, this IS a little bit backdated but since we are still within the 12 days of Christmas, the festive season ain't over yet! Hee hee...

Di-di & I were down at Tanglin Mall one night, but the intention was not to go shopping. But rather, Daddy said we were there to do some snow-catching. Erm, more like soapy bubbles catching actually 'cos that was what the white stuff really was.

But it sure looked rather authentic right? :P

The machines there starts churning 'snow' 2 times a night, so since we were slightly early, di-di & I decided to check out the yummy displays first.

The yummy house looked so nice and delicious hor? Even the vintage car was made up of recyclable materials and yes, I was too busy trying to climb into the car to take photos lah. Hee.

The ice cream tower was too cold for my liking as the weather was rather cooling...

Di-di was asking how come the snow was taking so long to come out...

... when suddenly the machines roared into life!

You should have seen the faces of ALL the kids there when the floor started to fill up with clouds of foam!

Soon enough, our legs disappeared into the thick foam... very very fun! Hahaha...

Then, the snow machines started to rain snow on all of us, adding shrieks of delight among all the kids there. Well, and some adults too.

You should have seen the both of us running around like headless monkies, raising our hands high up into the air at the same time. What a sight. :P

Di-di & I had so much fun trying to catch all the falling snow, and before long the last bits of snow fell... leaving us in really wet bottoms.

And that was the slight hiccup - Daddy & Mummy forgot to bring an extra change of bottoms for us. Oopsy.

And so, we made our way home in the car in our underwears. Hee hee hee... so moral of the story is to remember to bring extra sets of underwears next time! Oh, I mean clothings too! :P

Kong-kong's Birthday dinners

No comments :
Di-di & I went to Playground@East Coast to celebrate Kong-kong's birthday last Thursday, and did we have lots of fun there!

We had yummy claypot rice at Claypotfun and the food is really good there - I had one bowl of rice on top of one bowl of ramen! Hee hee...

Well, staying on the topic of makan, we also had a pre-birthday dinner treat for Kong-kong earlier together with Por-por, Ku-ku & Jie-jie Sherlyn.

And it was STEAMBOAT! Another one of my fave foods, beside sushi & pizza of course. We went to this relatively ulu place called Fat Fish. It's off Sembawang, and along Old Nelson Road.

Ulu means good, 'cos it meant that we get lots of space to run around, do silly things, work up an appetite and keep ourselves busy til the food is ready!

Chirpy monkies we both are huh?

Finally, the food was ready and I had to madly scramble back to our table 'cos I didn't want to miss out on dumping, I mean, gently placing the food into the steamboat for cooking.

Obviously di-di wouldn't pass up the chance to copy me too. :P

2 kinds of broth available - chicken & tom yam. No prizes for guessing which one I didn't dare to touch!

Di-di was indulging in his fave prawns & crabsticks, while I put the chicken & fish meats on the top of my priority list. Carbo? Nah, that only fills us up way toooo fast. Hahaha...

I think all of us finished our yummy dinner with tummies protruding conspicuously. Hee hee...

No wonder di-di want to exercise lah!

But it's really a quaint place for a nice steamboat; the food's pretty good with the prawns being so fresh that I half-expected them to plonk themselves into the steamboat on their own. Heh. The fish was pretty fresh as well; and coupled with such a breezy surroundings as we makan, looks like we'll be back again very soon! :)

The BIG Move

No comments :
Di-di & I got a new habitat... erm, a new bed actually. But it's a major event for the both of us...

... 'cos it marks the start of di-di & me moving into our own room and sleeping on our own! Big monkies liao hor? Hee hee... And it's a bunk bed! Di-di's got the lower half (or Level One as we call it), while I secured Level TWO.

Well, the first night went pretty okay... as did the subsequent nights til now. So all's well & good. Hahaha... yes, we sleep like piggies lor. :P

Maybe we'll get our own apartment when I turn 7 years old??? HAHAHA...

Merry Little Christmas!

No comments :
Woot, the day have finally arrived!

I had woken up really early in the morning today - whether if it's because of Christmas Day I don't really know lah - and first thing I did was to wake kor-kor up too! Hee hee...

You should have seen kor-kor & I set a new world record for the time needed to eat our breakfast and we were duly rewarded after that. :P

But we were made to wait a teeny weeny bit longer, all because of the mandatory photo taking...

A new world record was set once again as we ripped the wrapping paper off our presents, and yup... we were all too happy with them alright!

Hee hee... kor-kor must have been too anxious to open his racing set and hence, the fake smile. Kekeke...

Have a blessed Christmas everyone! And for the adults - If you drive, don't drink. If you drink, don't go. :)

EXCLUSIVE!! 4 kids wreck havoc at T3!

No comments :
SINGAPORE: Changi Airport's Terminal 3 was invaded by 4 kids over the weekend, causing widespread mayhem for the duration they were there.

The 4 terrors, otherwise known as Ash, Timo, Ayd & Beth, had reportedly set their sights on the children's playground at B3 first.

The CheekieTimes had earlier reported that the foursome were all looking forward to give the snowy bouncy castle another go after their earlier outing few weeks back. But as their handlers had revealed exclusively last week, the playground has remained one their weakest spots thus far.

And as these exclusive pictures show, the playground was turned into a free-for-all jumping zone, with the 2 gangleaders, Ash & Timo, showing the way.

The 2 younger ones duly followed up with spiraling twirls of their own.

Speaking to the Times, Daddy of Ash & Ayd shed some light on the four's playing antics.

"These foursome always seem to be energised to the max whenever they get together - maybe the boundless energy is rubbing off one another. Either that, or they must have been sapping away my energy because I feel tired just by looking at them!"

They were later spotted being caged up at an area of the playground, possibly in an attempt to curb their raging energy and calm them down.

But their handlers were acutely aware that the bars would not be able to hold them for long and true enough, the four were then spotted scampering away to the Kids' Corner where a large TV awaited.

Luckily for the 2 mummies, Transformers Animated was showing on Cartoon Network, which gave them ample time to go shopping around. And the Times can reveal that there might possibly be something brewing between the 2 younger ones, as this paparazzi shot shows.

When pressed for a confirmation, Beth simply pouted and shrugged her shoulders. "We are just good friends," she said.

As the foursome took a break and devoured their lunch, the big snowy castle at the Departure level was about to open. And as some bystanders attested, the 4 terrors were seen scurrying up the huge slide as soon as they were let in.

It was business as usual for the 2 gangleaders who showed the way in maneuvering down the steep slide.

The younger monkie was his usual tumbling self though, preferring to roll down like a sack of potatoes.

The 2 older kiddos were kept busy throughout, starting in the first minute when they climbed up the castle and then also pausing briefly in the ball pit.

Then as the time ticked away with less than a minute of playtime to go, the 3 boys were up to their terrorising ticks once more. They were seen converging together on the slide, in an apparent attempt to rumble and tumble down the slide with unbearable shrieks of laughter thrown into the mix.

The only princess of the group, gamely joined in the fracas and she too added a few decibels to the increasing noise level.

With all four descending swiftly to the bottom of the slide and on top one of another, one would expect them to cry out in pain. On the contrary, it clearly was the opposite.

As Ash's & Ayd's Daddy quipped, "Great to see that they're all having fun together. Definitely very Boomz!"

As the signal sounded for the kids to vacate the castle, it was clear that the previous activity drained most of the energy out of the the foursome. But if you thought that was the end of the terror reign, you had better think again.

The Times had earlier been alerted that the four were intending to make the Giant Red Ball decoration as their final destination. The source has revealed that there will be colourful balls and sweets given out by this ball after a medley of Christmas melodies had been played and this, it added, would be more than enough to entice the foursome.

True enough, they made their way to the said location hand-in-hand with all still looking in mighty fine spirits.

It remains to be seen when the foursome will be seen together next. But you can be sure when it happens, the CheekieTimes will be the first to break the story.

Dinos

No comments :
On Saturday, di-di & I prepared our guts to come face to face with some of the most ferocious animals that once roamed the Earth - Dinosaurs!

Erm, only thing was they were not exactly real lah... but all latex & electronics to make the dinosaurs come to life. Their temporary home is beside the Jurong Bird Park and they will be there til 21 February 2010.

One important note though - neither the tickets nor the website nor the entrance stated that the exhibition was going to be a GUIDED tour - meaning we can't get to roam about and tour the place at our own place. So do go early, if not there might be a pretty looooong queue as they only let batches of people in every 15 minutes or so.

But once in, I was completely in awe of the giant dinosaurs towering above me... and their roars! Let's just say some of their sudden grunts made me jump. Hee.

Oooh... my fave Dino of the moment... the T-Rex!

These days, Daddy need not ask me to take photo with this, take photo with that already... I'm very automatic liao; I see the thing I like, I ask Daddy to snap away! Hahaha...

There quite a lot of species of dinosaurs to see as we were led from cave to cave... some I also never see before leh. Can you name all the dinosaurs below? :P

We heard so many different types of roars that Daddy, di-di & I decided to put on our fiercest face and sound out our mightiest ROAR!

Lucky Mummy didn't drop the camera in shock. Don't worry Mummy, we'll always be here to protect you. :P

One more silly 'finger-on-the-top-of-the-head' pose before we exited the last cave.

Then it was time to get our hands dirty and do what the paleontologists do - excavate some fossils.

Erm, it was a no-brainer actually 'cos the bones were slightly peeking out of the sand even before we started. Hee hee... but we still proceeded to dig away of course. We love digging sand! Especially di-di me think.

And finally... TADAH!

Well, di-di & I quite enjoyed the show while Daddy found it a little disappointing considering it was billed as a mega show. Well, at least the tickets were discounted! Kekeke...

*If you are a Starhub mobile customer, head on down to the roadshow at United Square B1 to purchase your tickets - Adult ticket is $10 (U.P. $13) while the child ticket is $7.50 (U.P. $9). Tickets bought can used for entry on any day til the last date of the show.
