Gone to Genting

We were up in the clouds at Genting over the weekend, and boy was the weather really shiok!

It has been slightly over a year since we last visited Genting... but this time, di-di definitely enjoyed himself so much more as he was busy formulating opinions of his own & delcaring which rides he wanted to go on.

Besides the usual theme park fun, we also got to try strawberry picking at the Strawberry Farm!

Weekend of Birthdays 3

Continuing from where we had left off the previous weekend, it was yet again time to celebrate Birthdays last Sunday. And this time, we headed down to Benji kor-kor's & Sarah's place to celebrate their birthdays. It really seems that lots of people are born in the month of January like me hor? Hee.

That's the both of us, enjoying a private nice meal together in the 'beer garden', complete with music! Benji's sister was assigned to sit behind us while we finished our dinner... 'cos you know lah, we boys always talk too much whenever we get together! :P

She looked way too comfortable for her task me think. Hahaha...

And the main star of the celebration soon made its grand entrance!

Very beautiful cake & cupcakes! And all homemade... they truly tasted yummilicious! As usual, all of us children were only way too eager to blow out the candles...

Well, we had to wait for quite a while though... as the adults made us sing the Birthday song in English, Mandarin and even Melayu!

But the wait was worthwhile for Benji kor-kor & Sarah...

Doing nothing

Sometimes it is just nice enough to spend a day at the beach, simply just to while the time away by doing absolutely nothing.

Well, doing nothing suits Daddy & Mummy more lah... but not for kor-kor & me though. Of course not! We wouldn't pass up the chance of playing with the sand to our hearts' content, would we?

So while Daddy & Mummy sat in their beach chairs, enjoying the sunset, we were busy building our sand mansion.

That was til we decided to usurp the beach chairs! Hiak hiak hiak!

It was so shiok sitting thaere and enjoying the sea breeze...

Time for a beach holiday soon eh? Hee hee...

Weekend of Birthdays 2

After Saturday's birthday celebration & impromptu dip in the pool, Sunday was another Birthday lunch to celebrate Jor-jor's 83rd birthday.

Mummy couldn't join us though 'cos she had to work... and so after dropping her off, Daddy & us monkies made our way to the 7th Storey Seafood & Steamboat Restaurant at the Marina Barrage to meet up with Kong-kong, Por-por & the rest of our relatives.

But as we were quite early, we made our way up to the uppermost deck of the Barrage, only to see that there were so many people there flying kites!

It was definitely a very pretty sight... and no wonder di-di was in such high spirits! Hee hee...

The weather was rather good as well, and we had fun trying to make out the various shapes of the kites fluttering in the sky... oh, and also to take some loving photos too. :)

You know that we really had too much time on our hands when Daddy also started to join in and make funny faces as well. :P

I forgot to bring my own camera along, so I borrowed Daddy's camera to take a few shots of the colourful kites against the Flyer backdrop. And the photo below is one such shot taken by me.

Not bad huh? Kekeke...

After goofing around some more, it was time to head down to fill up our tummies!

During lunch, I pestered Kong-kong to see if he could get me a kite... and what do you know, one of my relatives, Aunty Christine, brought along 2 kites! Woohoo!

But first, di-di & I had the important task of aiding Jor-jor with his birthday candles.

One mighty puff each from the both of us did the trick and soon, I was busy helping to distribute the plates of cakes. Happy Birthday, Jor-jor!

And soon, we were all set and ready to go...

... back up to fly my kite!

Di-di wasn't too interested in kite flying though; he was having too much fun scampering around, climbing up & down, and basically make the adults run after him lor. Hee hee...

As for me, I was really enjoying my kite flying... though I didn't manage to make it go too high up in the sky.

And what better way to end the fun day than to blow some bubbles.. once again thanks to Aunty Christine!

As an added bonus, Kong-kong & Por-por followed di-di & me back to our place for a dip in our swimming pool after our afternoon nap. MOST definitely a rewarding day if you ask me!

Weekend of Birthdays

Weekends are best for nuah-ing...

... but they are also good for Birthday parties! Which was what kor-kor & I attended on both last Saturday & Sunday. Fun Fun Fun!

Saturday's party was to celebrate the birthday of Mummy's long-time buddy, Aunty Malathi and if you ask me, a birthday party is best hosted next to a pool complete with deckchairs! Hee hee...

Oh, and a boat would definitely top it all off. :P

You should have heard us go on and on about wanting to bring the boat for a test spin in the pool... and luckily for us, Aunty Malathi's friend loaned us swimwear. Woohoo! But first, we had to fill our tummies first.

With our tanks full, we were off in a splash!

We did verify that the boat was in working order in case you wanted to know. Wahahaha...

... with a good dash of fun thrown in as well.

But kor-kor soon heard someone calling his name after a while though...

It turned out that it was time to cut the cake, and yes I was indeed a little hungry (again) after all the swimming. :P

The cupcakes sure looked pretty yummy!

We sang the Birthday song at the top of our voices, assisted Aunty Malathi in snuffing out her candles, grabbed a few mouthfuls of cake, took photos...

... and we were off to the pool once again! Kekekeke...

Happy Birthday, Aunty Mala! Hope you had fun on your Birthday... we sure did! :)
