Animal King

No comments :
Animal Kaiser anyone? Hee hee...

See how fully focused di-di was when playing this game? :P

It's an arcade game whereby animals are pit against one another and you basically get to collect animal or special power cards after each game... so obviously there are collectible cards with high power animals which one may get if he is lucky.

I also absolutely love this game... but as a rule of thumb, we get to play this only in Malaysia, or in Jusco at Tebrau City to be exact. Daddy says it's waaaaay cheaper there - RM3 per game compared to the exhorbitant S$2 per game in Singapore.

Well, we aren't addicts lah... so as long as we get to play once in a while, di-di & I are quite easily satisfied.

If only Daddy would quit taking photos, and allow us to get back to our game... we have an epic battle on our hands you know! :P

3D Dragons

No comments :
Last evening, di-di & I were off to our first 3D movie at the cinemas - How to train a Dragon. We had these special glasses that we were supposed to put on while watching the movie and boy, they really made it seem that the dragons were flying straight towards me!

I enjoyed the movie lots, especially when the young man - his name's Hiccup by the way - is trying to befriend this cute Night Fury dragon called Toothless.

Daddy said this movie is based on a book and the series has 8 books in all! Wowee... seems like we'll be going to the cinema for a few more times... since Daddy really liked the movie too. Hee hee...

Redang Tanning Part 2

No comments :
Day 3 at Laguna Redang, and we were all set, dressed up and ready to set off for our first-ever snorkel trip!

We had to take a 10 min boat ride to another part of Redang Island, where we were told that there would be many many fishes for us to ogle in the sea...

Can you tell that all of us were super excited? Hee hee...

We finally reached, and it was a lucky thing that we brought along bread too... 'cos there were so many fishes there and they looked as if they hadn't eaten for days!

Yep, I was suddenly the fishes' best friend.

Di-di & I were initially a tad apprehensive to go out far in the ocean... 'cos our feet can't touch the sand mah. :P

So the both of us just stayed close to the coast and looked at the fishes swim circles around us, while Daddy went off to do some exploring on his own...

Wow, so many tiny fishes! And as the time passed, di-di & I got more confident liao... and Daddy brought us much further out into the sea where we popped our heads into the water to look at the beautiful underwater life.

Di-di & I even told Daddy & Mummy not to hold on to us and let us float freely in the sea... hee hee...

We really had a great time frolicking (& baking) in the sea... so much so that we were a bit reluctant to go when it was time for us to board the boat back to the resort.

Then it was back to our rooms for a quick bath & lunch before enjoying the comfort of our beds.

And when we awoke, di-di made a tiny request.

To go to the Swimming Pool! WAHAHAHA...

Obviously it was just what I wanted as well. :P

Too much fun in the water can make one much hungrier easily... and so lucky for us, we got to munch on pizza, burgers & chicken wings right by the pool to replenish our energy.

I know... confirm fat hor. Hahaha... Because if that wasn't enough, there were other eateries that line the beach other than the restaurants at Laguna. Eateries that sell Ramly burgers, dimsum, crabs, and basically other yummy tze char kind of food! See, how to keep slim???

We even had prata, or roti canai as it is known in Malaysia, for supper lor! No wonder di-di had to remain so active to keep his fats burning.

Next day, and it was our final full day at Redang... and yes, it was going to be a water-themed day as well!

After some early morning bubbles fun with Kong-kong, we were off for a quick breakfast...

... before hitting the beach for one last time. *sob*

We brought along our snorkeling gear as well, as we were able to see many fishes, mainly groupers, swimming further out from the beach too...

And in the evening, there was a beach party held out on the beach by the resort... and no way di-di & I were going to pass up on that!

You should have seen the both of us shake & groove to the music man. Hahaha... And we were standing right in the front row, following every dance step that the uncle was doing lor... kekeke...

And so, with the end of the party, it also meant that our stay at Laguna was coming to an end too.

We had a great holiday just relaxing by the beach and doing the stuff that di-di & I love - which is playing by the beach and swimming in the pool. Me think Mummy also enjoyed lots too, 'cos she finished 2 whole storybooks on this trip!

We got an early ferry to catch the next morning, just in time to see Mr. Sun peeking out of the horizon.

And before we hopped back onto the plane for our return flight to Singapore, there was just the final small matter of shopping. Well, for the adults anyway. Heh.

So we headed down to the Teregganu bandar market for some local produce... like keropok which di-di absolutely love!

With that, we bade Teregganu & Redang farewell... with me saying I already miss the place. Yes yes, that's me getting all sentimental as usual. :P

And the first thing Ma-ma & Ye-ye said to di-di & me when they saw me back home? "Wah, so dark!" Hahaha...

Happy Birthday Por-por!

No comments :
Today's Por-por's Birthday, and we went To Bottletree Village on Sunday night to celebrate her special day.

Kor-kor & I specially chose the cake for Por-por you know... and naturally we chose our favourite flavour lah - strawberry. Hee.

And as per normal, the both of us had to chip in to help snuff out the candle as well. :P

With kor-kor taking on the added responsibility of cutting the cake.

I don't know if he really cutting or what... kekeke...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY POR-POR!!!

Rounding up the school hols...

No comments :
For all the cheeseburgers I love to eat, and also for all the nuggets & fries di-di love to wallop, we got a chance to see how all these were prepared in the MacDonalds kitchen last Friday. And yup, that also meant we got ot have our Happy Meals too! Hee hee...

We were at the Macs at King Albert Park for a tour of the MacDonalds Kitchen and it was quite the eye-opener for di-di & me as we were brought to view the dry storeroom and freezer areas.

We got the opportunity to see how the uncles & aunties prepare the food so very fast, and serve it to the customers also in super fast manner. And as our reward for being such attentive listeners, of course our Happy Meals were waiting for us at the end of the tour lah! Wahahaha...

No photos were allowed during the kitchen tour though, so you can only see us enjoying the end products from the kitchen. :P

And then, to round up the week long school holidays, Daddy & Mummy brought us to the Indoor Stadium over the weekend to catch Mickey & gang skate on ice... together with our buddies - Timo & Beth! :)

Not only did the usual gang make their graceful appearance, their friends like Stitch, Baloo, Buzz Lightyear, & the Incredibles all joined in the show too!

I think di-di enjoyed the show much more than me though, 'cos he was clapping fervently throughout the show... but for me, the great company was all that matters! :P

And now, all we have to do is to look forward to next long school holidays! Heh.

Redang Tanning Part 1

2 comments :
Last Thursday marked the beginning of our long tanning session at Pulau Redang, which of course delighted di-di & me to no end. Hee hee... But first, there was the small matter of getting there.

And all thanks to Firefly Airlines, we did not have to make the long drive up north to Terengganu!

We spent the first night in the town of Kuala Terengganu as most of the ferries departing for Redang leave in the morning. Which was no problem for us monkies... 'cos our hotel had a magnificent view of the sea too.

After our lunch & afternoon nap, we explored the surrounding town area where we stumbled onto a pasar malam.

Next morning soon came, and we made our to catch our ferry!

My oh my... the sea was exceptionally choppy on our journey there. Luckily di-di & I slept through all the way. Heh.

And when we finally reached Laguna Redang Resort, it was all worth it!

And being us, we absolutely wasted no time in getting dressed for swimming! Hee hee...

WOOHOO! Any surprise that the pool was definitely one of our fave places in the resort?

And to top off our first evening there, we hit the beach after we got out of the pool.

Already Mummy was thinking of how shiok it would be to lie on the beach chairs and while her time away by reading her fave novels... Well, she didn't have to wait for long, 'cos the next day of sunshine, sea & sand was soon upon us!

Strangely enough, the sun was scorching hot but it was so much bearable than the nheat in Singapore... probably because it wasn't so humid in Redang.

We were only too anxious to finish our breakfast, because we were too eager to hit the you-know-what. :P

Finally!

And when we needed respite from Mr. Sun, it was just as nice to lie in a hammock, under the shade of the coconut trees.

Erm, or to cool it all off by leaping into the pool. Again.

Hahahaha...

Oh, and there's this colourful building that's supposed to be quite famous... as Daddy told me that it was used for filming for a Hong Kong movie in 1999. Wah... that's like so ultra long ago lor... at least for di-di & me. Heh.

It isn't the orignal building though as the old one was too old to be repaired, so Laguna tore it down and built it up again and now it houses a gift shop. Well, that's the only shopping you are gonna get on Redang I think... just ask Mummy & Por-por. Hee hee...

Well, what else to do but to do the touristy thing and take photos with the building right? :P

We had a yummy seafood dinner by the beach after that, and then went back to get an early rest 'cos we were waking early the next day for our first-ever snorkeling trip! Woot!
