Boardwalk Scoot

No comments :
We love our skate scooters, and as long as we find a chance, we will always nag at Daddy & Mummy to bring di-di & me to some place where we can put our scooters to good use. So other than the Punggol Promenade, one of the other places that we love to go to is the Sentosa Boardwalk!

It's the boardwalk that connects the mainland from Vivocity to Sentosa Island, and it isn't too long to walk even actually - perhaps about 15-20 minutes of walk time.

I guess walking isn't such a bad idea... after all, the scenery is quite nice...

But why walk when you can SCOOT??? :P

The nice part about it is that it's usually relatively free of people and so it makes our scooting much MORE fun! Hee.

Well, the posing for pictures is pretty fun too lah.... Heh.

But too bad mei-mei wasn't too happy with the heat... so erm, she refused any photos. Save for one.

As for us, we definitely enjoyed scooting across the boardwalk. But we stopped short of entering Sentosa lah... although di-di clamoured to be brought to Universal Studios.

Nice try, Ayd. Hee hee...

There are eateries & cafes along the boardwalk should you require something to drink or fill your tummies... yup, ice-cream too! Slurp!

Erm, but we still preferred our plain water lah. :P

And if you know my Daddy well enough, you would have guessed what was coming up...

TAKE PHOTOS LOR!

Lots and lots of photos somemore ah...

No wonder mei-mei had such a nice uninterrupted sleep!

But we will be back again... soon! And hopefully we will find new places to bring our scooters to! :D

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

1 comment :
Ooh, it's back again!

The last time that they were here in 2008, di-di & me caught the show and it was GOOD!

It is a puppet show and features 3 stories from Eric Carle - The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Little Cloud and The Mixed-Up Chameleon, and these are told using puppets, music, movement & narration.

And a nice touch about the show was that the puppeteers would come onto the stage after the show has ended to field questions from the audience, and also to show how the puppets are brought to life on stage.

Milestone #2

No comments :
Over the weekend, mei-mei achieved her 2nd milestone in as many weeks when she got started on solids!

Well, nothing to heavy on the stomach... just some plain baby cereal to let her get the hang of eating from a spoon.

And the outcome? She absolutely lapped it ALL up! She even cried when the bowl was emptied lor...

Wah, a definite glutton in the making??? Hee.

But at least she was still mighty satisfied... which explains why she was beaming after she was done (including washing up of all the mess! :P).

As Daddy would say, what a handsome girl. Hahahaha...

Travel Tales #1 - Sunway Lagoon Day 3

No comments :
Final day of our short trip... and of course di-di & I awoke with great reluctance. But no so for mei-mei lor...

I told you that she was too happy with the comfy hotel bed, and I also think she didn't know we were soon to be checking out of the room.

No wonder she still looked so chirpy. Or maybe it was because Clara was there to humour her. :)

Was mei-mei wondering when and where our next road trip would be??? Hee hee...

At least the adults promised us to bring us to the indoor amusement park at Sunway Pyramid before we say our goodbyes to the hotel. But not before filling up our tum-tums first!

And so, the 5 of us thronged the kiddie rides area once again... giving the adults a perfect excuse to shop around some more. :P

No words needed actually to know how much we enjoyed ourselves!

And as the finale, the girls decided to go on the merry-go-round...

... while us boys went bumping each other in our cars!

Til our next trip... erm, hopefully soon? Hahaha...

Travel Tales #1 - Sunway Lagoon Day 2

7 comments :
As we awoke the next morning, we were filled with great anticipation!

Hmmm... think mei-mei too hor? Hee hee...

We were FINALLY heading to the Sunway Lagoon theme park for some serious water FUN FUN FUN!

WOOT!

Sunway Lagoon consists of FIVE parks actually - Water Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, Extreme Park & Scream Park.

Well, I don't the think the last 2 parks are suitable for us kiddos yet... so we would do well to just stick to the first 3 ones.

But for now, we definitely wanted to zoom in on the WATER PARK!

We targeted the wave pool first, for obvious splashing reasons. Heh.

Cheekiemonkie Tip: It's definitely much better to head down to the water park early in the morning when the park opens at 10am. 'Cos it gets really crowded in the later part of the day... and erm, more people & water don't eactly go well together. :P

We soon got tired of the wave pool, and so there was only one thing to do...

We hit the water slides area!!!

Definitely loads of fun and thrills on the slide, as you can see.

We then plunged back into the wave pool after that...

... all because it was mei-mei's turn to make her first-ever contact with the pool water!

And the verdict? Mei-mei simply loved the it!

As much as we did pulling Daddy along in the water. Hahahaha...

Soon, the adults signaled it was time to head back to the hotel to wash up and also for our lunch.

And since the adults figured that we kiddos might be a little tired from all the morning's water fun, we ordered room service and had our fabulous lunch in the comfort of our rooms. Hee.

A short rest duly followed, and then we were back on our feets once again... this time ready to conquer the Amusement & Wildlife Parks!

Yep, in our Angry Birds tees no less!!! And don't you think di-di's facial expression is super duper cute in the above photo??? :D

Mei-mei has her own Angry Bird tee too, but it's still too big for her... so she just has to remain content with her chewy giraffe. :P

And with that, we were soon on our way in the Amusement Park... dictating which rides we want to go on first.

Ahh, our perennial all-time fave - the Cowboy Boot ride!!!

All 5 of us must have gone on it at least FIVE times each!

Well, we loved the other rides too... like the rollercoaster...

... the spaceship ride which lifeted us high up into the sky...

... the spinning cups...

And all these while, mei-mei was sitting comfortably in her throne with the adults fawning over her. Pure bliss lor...

We repeated on some of the rides, and what do you know... it was time for the park to close. :(

But we did have loads of fun lah... and there was still time for the adults to do some more shopping before we had dinner and headed back to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.
