Delightful Desaru (Part 2)

No comments :
Ok, so to our concluding piece on our weekend jaunt to Lotus Desaru. :)

Actually, I think there isn't much more to write about the Water Park 'cos erm, it is rather clear that we enjoyed ourselves tremendously!

Slide after slide and splash after splash... we were still up for anything and everything.

And of course, there was this Lazy River slide that we had mentioned in our earlier post - a meandering slide that starts at the top of a slop and brings its sliders down 4 water channels & 3 whirlpools.

See the long green thing snaking through the water park? That's the Lazy River slide!

I think we must have went on it countless times - at least 20 times. :P

Then, it was time for the princess to make her grand entrance...

And her initial reaction???

Hee hee hee... not too good I am afraid.

But gradually, she got used to the water rather well. :)

See??? Mei-mei was only too engrossed in getting her toes wet, despite Daddy's repeated calls to look at the camera! Hahaha...

It was Mummy's turn to try out the Lazy River next and Por-por & Kong-kong then took over the jaga-ing duties...

Since we monkies are so experienced with the slide, we had to accompany Mummy on it! Hee.

WHEEEEEE!!!

Mummy too gave it TWO thumbs up! Exactly the same ratings Por-por & Kong-kong gave when it was their turn to try the slide later.

Mei-mei's time in the pool soon came to an end, while we monkies got to stretch our water time a little bit more. :P

Missing the Water Park so soon ah???

Water play always makes us super duper hungry... and luckily there was pizza to be had right at the beach. Shiok!

And it was no wonder that di-di & I KO-ed right after lunch... and slept right ALL the way to dinner time!!!

We were supposed to go to playground lor... but obviously we were too tired out from the Water Park. Hahaha... but luckily our dinner was so so yummy!

We went on a 20 minute drive to Sungai Rengit for very yummy seafood... and it was well worth the drive!

The seafood was so fresh, and we even picked our own lobsters for dinner! Hee.

Back at the hotel, there was a mini carnival going on - and this happens every Saturday night at Lotus Desaru.

There were a few game stalls for us to try our hands on to win some prizes, as well as the sale of some lighted toys for all children to have some fun with...

Day 3, and it was time to say goodbye to Desaru... :(

But not before - you guessed it - a one last PLAY at the Water Park!!!

Then it was time to really say goodbye. Sniff.

At least mei-mei had her last water play in the hotel sink. :P

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Desaru... and think we actually might be back sooner rather than later! Hahaha...

Di-di & I have declared it to be better than Sunway Lagoon leh! And think Daddy & Mummy might be inclined to agree - 'cos the water is definitely cleaner at Lotus Desaru, and also much less crowded. So ourreturning chances have definitely been given a boost, no? Heh.

Fun starts. NOW.

It's the start of the school holidays! Let the PLAY begin!

We monkies don't know what Daddy & Mummy have in store for us... but we sure hope they involve water, playgrounds & maybe some sand too! Oh, and it sure will be fun if our best pals join in the fun too. :)

Have you planned anything yet?

Delightful Desaru (Part 1)

2 comments :
2 weekends ago, our whole family, together with Kong-kong & Por-por went for a short getaway to Desaru. Oooh... new place huh! Daddy said actually I had been there before 'cos both he & Mummy went to Desaru when I was still in Mummy's tummy.

Aiyoh, that one confirm no count lah!

So anyway, Daddy said it will be a leisurely drive up which will take slightly less than 2 hours from the Tuas Checkpoint. And with a lunch break & a nap along the way, we finally reached!

The Lotus Desaru - Daddy & Mummy are first-timers too. And my, it does look sprawling!!!

Por-por did the check in and soon, we were in our comfy 2-bedroom apartment...

And the first thing mei-mei did was to test out the comfort level of our hotel bed!

Judging from our smiles, the bed and the rest of the room PASSED our requirements. Hee hee...

With all that settled nicely, di-di & I naturally asked to change into our swimwear and to be brought to the beach...

Me think Daddy can forget about taking photos of us - not when we were so eager to start our sandcastle building!

And while the men toiled away at the sand, the ladies were taking a nice break on the beach chairs. Hmph!

At least mei-mei was enjoying her first foray on to a sandy beach. But I think she was more pleased with the breeze than the bits of sand. :P

The sand at Desaru isn't exactly the most pristine, nor is the sea the clearest blue that we have come across.

But it IS clean, and pretty deserted so we could build a whole sandcastle Kingdom and nobody would stop us. Heh.

And most important of all, all of us enjoyed ourselves - the adults just nuah-ed away while the monkies played away. :)

After all the sand, we had to erm, wash off the sand hor??? So what better place to do it than than the hotel pool!

Hahahaha... just kidding. How can us monkies resist the lure of the swimming pool?

With that, we ended our day with a short drive our of the resort to grab some dinner. And then it was time to recharge for the next day...

Why??? All for this spectacular feature in the resort!

Yup, a Water Park right in the middle of the resort! Di-di's & my ultimate bliss I tell you... :D

Besides the usual water slides and large wading pool, there was a star attraction.

And this was the Lazy River - a long meandering sloping slide which begins at the top of a slope and brings us all the way down to the pool via 5 slides with 4 'whirlpools' in between them.

Sounds shiok hor? IT IS!!!

And we must have gone on it for more then 20 times! Hahaha... No wonder our legs were aching by the time we checked out the next day. All the hiking up the slope to get to the top of the Lazy River! :P

And that wasn't all - there is still this gigantic Tipping Coconut with a Kiddy Slide...

... which splashes coconut water on you if you are not fast enough to siam. Hee.

So, with all these fun stuff, we just didn't to know where to start?!!!

And even more exciting stuff to come - mei-mei joins in on the action! But first let us enjoy the slides... WHEEEEEE!!!!
