First Look at Happy Park, Waterway Point's Huge Dry & Wet Outdoor Playground

The NEWEST Shopping Mall Playground is opening tomorrow (24 September 2016)!

Located on the rooftop of Waterway Point in Punggol Central, Happy Park is an outdoor playground that consists of both DRY and WET play elements.

And the best part? It is FREE for everyone! Well, technically it is free only for the kiddos... sorry, parents!

Brought to you by the same guys who built up the Vertical Playgrounds around Singapore, the 'Rabbits Burrow' themed outdoor playground at Waterway Point features three main areas: a Dry Play Area, a Wet Play Area, and the Lily Trees.

And here's a first look at the playground, which offers a fantastic view of Punggol Waterway too.

First up, the dry playground! As expected, there are plenty of spinners, climbing tubes and nets, trampolines AND slides - more than enough to keep the little ones entertained.

The terraced landscape is great for kids to who love to climb and of course, slide!

There are even 'hiding holes' or mini tunnels scattered throughout the playground which kids can burrow in...

And appear to say hello in a fishbowl-like opening!

Kids cannot seem to get enough of jumping? There are trampolines too... with a kick-ass view too!

Of course, slides - especially brightly orange tunnel ones - are a must for any respectable playground, no?

If your kiddos fancy a little splashing fun, head to the Wet Play area. Here, a river loop features flowing water and curls around a lake. It contains all sorts of water play features like spinners, waterspray trumpets, fountains and water curtains!

For younger kids, there is a shallow lake with waterlily stepping stones.

In the middle of the lake lies an island where kids can take refuge, and is surrounded by wading pools and mini watersprays.

But perhaps, the most intriguing installations at Happy Park are these Lily Trees.

Most of these massive Lily Trees are designed for climbing, with netting within their 'trunks' for kids to climb to the top.

One Lily Tree at the Wet Play area even has a big water curtain splashing down onto the lake!

Come night time, the trees light up to bring a different ambience to the playground.

Happy Park officially opens on 24 September 2016, Saturday and is located beside Koufu Food Court at Waterway Point.

P.S. If you have younger kids or toddlers who prefer a less challenging playground, Waterway Point also has an indoor playground for them! It is also located on Level 2, and is fully padded and airconditioned. Read my earlier post for more details.

More shadow, seats for the waiting parents and more bins would be really nice.
