(Daddy sneak peeks)
Harry Potter: The Exhibition has finally made its long-awaited debut in Singapore on 2 June 2012. And I was given a chance take a whirlwind tour of the exhibition one day before it opened to public.
If I had told you that before the exhibition, I thought that a mandrake was a cousin of the Dragon family, you would probably have laughed your socks off. So yes, I do not profess to be a Harry Potter fan, especially since I have seen only 2 movies out of the Harry Potter movie franchise so far.
Which means to say I should be the best person suited for a review of the Exhibition then?
Before we were given a tour of the exhibition proper, we had a photo opportunity with the Weasley Twins, as played by James and Oliver Phelps in the movies.
My, they do look extremely tall in real-life... but I think magic probably has something to do with it.
What is even more magical is that Singapore is Harry Potter: The Exhibition's first stop in Asia and only the second stop in the world outside USA after Sydney, Australia. And what the exhibition really wants to achieve is to offer visitors an opportunity to view iconic props, costumes and creatures displayed, as seen in the Harry Potter film series.

What I really like about the exhibition was the various immersive themed settings that were recreated from the many Hogwarts locations like the Gryffindor common room, Hogwarts classrooms, the Forbidden Forest, the Great Hall.
And in these settings, visitors will be able to see its grand collection of props, costumes and creatures
from the entire Harry Potter film series. Fan favorites such as Harry’s wand and eyeglasses, the Marauder’s Map, Gryffindor school uniforms and an array of Quidditch™ equipment will be on display; as well as a collection of magical creatures like Buckbeak™, the Hippogriff, a Hungarian Horntail dragon, a centaur, and a giant Acromantula.

To enhance the interactive experience, guests will also have the opportunity to pull a Mandrake from its pot in the Herbology vignette, toss a Quaffle in the Quidditch area, and tour Hagrid’s hut.

I think I will go absolutely bonkers should there be a Star Wars Exhibition of a similar nature. Because touring the exhibition has given me the urge to watch the complete line of Harry Potter movies. And I just might do it, coupled with a second visit of the exhibition. And I think I will bring along my boys along for the ride as well.
