Cheekiemonkies' Great Aussie Road Trip: Day 7

23rd June: The Entertainment Quarter & Bondi Junction, Sydney

Kor-kor & I woke up to a dreary and drizzling morning today, but luckily there was something cheery to lift those grey clouds.

And the skies soon cleared up, and down we went to the Entertainment Quarter. It's a one-stop shopping & makan place. There's also the weekly EQ Village Markets, where stalls will be set up every Wed, Sat & Sun selling local produce.

And as with every kids-friendly place, there will be the mandatory playground for all kids to go wild.

I DID go wild too. Hee hee...

But kor-kor set his eyes on the more challenging obstacle-laden playarea for older kids though.

Yep, the monkie in him was at work once more. :P

As for me, I only hung around to wait for kor-kor to be done with his climbing.

'cos there was something more interesting waiting for me to go see...

A makeshift mini petting zoo!

Not only were there ducks quacking all around, there were bunnies, chickens, doggies, goats and even piggies! All for us to pet and feed... much like this little billy goat.

Kor-kor preferred to snuggle up to some cotton wool though... erm, I mean a white wabbit. Hee hee...

I was having lots of fun feeding the goats, til I got a tad bored and decided to have a little fun...

Yes yes, I was laughing hysterically... And do you know why???

Just take a look at the back of the white goat...

WAHAHAHAHA... I had just slapped a tuff of hay on the goat's back. And yes, it amused me tremendously. Oh well, despicable me? Kekekeke...

Ok ok, I also know how to show love hor...

See? I simply adored the bunnies! And I think kor-kor too.

And I gave it a little kiss and hug before I put it down.

So how? Do you think I can be a farmer next time when I grow up? :P

And then, it was time to bade all the animals farewell...

... and it was Mummy's turn to shop the village markets!

There were lots stalls selling different types of food produce, with most offering free tasting. Of course Daddy didn't let up the chance lor. Hahahaha... while Mummy was simply enchanted with the fresh flowers...

It didn't really appeal to me though, but at least the mega toy store which we went later after lunch did. :P

After some browsing (but no buying *sob*), we went to the nearby Westfield Bondi Junction which was a large shopping centre. Well, needless to say... more shopping ensued. But we did plonk our tired feet down at the Max Brenner Chocolate Bar for some absolutely delicious what else, chocolate!!!

And these were what we sinfully ordered.

A hot chocolate, a dark chocolate shake, a warm chocolate cake and a waffle with strawberries, bananas, vanilla ice cream. I'm a strawberry person, much like kor-kor. But I tell you... the chocolate was so very good!!! And somehow it DOES taste better than the one here in Singapore. Maybe 'cos we're on holiday? Hee hee...

Then it was time to head back to our hotel as we needed to pack all our luggage. It was our last night in Sydney and come the next day, we would be embarking our long road trip northwards to Brisbane!
