The mother-daughter pair go on a journey through stories, song, laughter, some tears and lots and lots of colourful brilliant sarees to find a space where they can truly rely on each other and discover how to be the best family they could ever be. Come along for a magical adventure that will surprise and move you.  

The Feelings Farm is a play which uses music, movement, poetry and multimedia to help children name and understand emotions with compassion. Recommended for ages 6 and up, the play draws from real experiences of children in Singapore and hopes to give children and adults alike the language to have honest conversations about our feelings. BASE Entertainment Asia and Centre Stage School of the Arts welcome our young audience to forge a special friendship this March holidays with the award-winning production, Balloonacy, adapted for the stage by Barry Kornhauser and produced by special arrangement with Plays for New Audiences.

Combining the imaginative power of play and elements of mime, clowning and more, Balloonacy is a no-dialogue, one-performer show that presents a series of comical and touching moments where the old man and the balloon explore the power of friendship and discover how, with a little imagination and acceptance, companionship is everywhere. In the midst of playing silly games together, the little ones (and the big ones too) are in for a laugh riot and will be left utterly charmed by the old man and the red balloon.

Can an imaginative boy, his know-it-all cousin and a pack of talking dogs save their happy neighborhood from a greedy developer? City-dwelling Jacob dreams of becoming an architect just like his busy father, and spends most of his time drawing buildings and daydreaming while his father is at work. When his father needs to go on a long business trip, Jacob must spend a week in Maskachka, a historical suburb of Riga (Latvia), with his bossy cousin Mimmi and her ex-seaman father Eagle.

Jacob is immediately enchanted by the neighborhood’s unique aura with the chirpy, witty Mimmi as his guide. When the cousins discover that a businessman plans to transform a local park into skyscrapers, they know they must save the neighbourhood — and find unexpected help from a pack of local dogs that can talk!

Visitors are encouraged to pre-book their seats online due to limited capacity. This film is rated PG and runs for 72 minutes.

Say “hello” to the future where people continue to draw inspiration from nature, and the beauty of Singapore’s garden city continue to mesmerise and inspire human imagination, young and old. In this exhibition, preschool children in Singapore have been invited to create art that reveals how nature and contemporary ecological issues are viewed through their eyes of wonder and innocence as part of the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) Think! Contemporary Preschool Programme. 

With support from their schools and teachers, the children went on a process-driven art making journey that had drawn on their natural curiosities, allowing them to explore and create. The children were inspired primarily by nature, green issues as well as the contemporary artworks in The Learning Gallery and created their artworks based on the themes in this exhibition: communities in Singapore, nature and climate change.
