The Grandstand (formerly known as Turf City) has undergone a fair bit of change recently, in terms of the change of tenants. Giant Hypermart and Pasar Bella have closed and the space has been taken over by Hao Mart. KIDZLAND, which was located beside Pasar Bella, has also closed and in its place, is SWAGA Gym, a gymnastics centre for everyone.
More importantly for young kids though, it is home to an indoor playground.
SWAGA Gym opened its doors at The Grandstand on 1 April and primarily offers gymnastics lessons for kids.
Yes, the place is pretty massive!
But more than that, SWAGA Gym has a program for everyone. From babies to recreational, competitive and elite gymnasts, Singapore’s latest facility even includes a parkour program popular with boys!
Parents can watch their children train and enjoy a cup of coffee in the club house at the same time.
And should you have younger kids to mind while the older child is attending lessons, they can utilise the fully functional jungle-themed indoor playground located at one corner of the gym for FREE!
The indoor playground's size is decent, with ample climbing and play structures to keep the younger kids occupied.
And if you think the playground looks familiar, that's because the owner has retained the original play structure from KIDZLAND.
The wavy slides portion on the right have been removed. Other than that, the rest of the structure has remained intact.
How about kids who are not enrolled in SWAGA Gym's classes?
You can still bring your kids for some indoor play at the Jungle Gym! The admission fee is $10 per hour per child - still pretty affordable compared to other indoor playgrounds.
