Batam: Episode III

1 comment :
Heng the weather was very cooperative for the 3 days that we were in Batam. Heh heh...

So Daddy & Mummy could bring me for walks along the beach and swims in the kiddie pool too.

And I think I got a teeny weeny bit darker in the process...at least that's what Grandma said. :p

And did I mention I liked the Kiddie Room at the resort too?

The walls are so colourful! Big, colourful dinosaurs are painted on the walls like these...

And I was so fascinated by one wall, which was so brilliantly colourful, that I got very very excited. So much so I was flapping my arms up and down...as the below vid will show...

Hee.

After that, we went for a walk by the beach. And that's when my perspiration went into overdrive. After just a mere 5 minutes under the sun, my near-botak head was soaking wet! Hahaha...

So Daddy-turned-stylist decided to model my hair after a certain teletubby. Or if you prefer, a 'cock' hairstyle. Heh.

Yes yes, I know I looked pretty pleased with it. :p

Soon it was dinnertime! Daddy & Mummy brought me to this kelong seafood restaurant for makan. It's pretty near the resort, and it's a nice place with a kampung feel to it. The seafood prices were pretty cheap; like a whole bowl of drunken prawns (about 20+ prawns) was going for about S$8. And the prawns were very fresh; or so I'm told by Daddy & Mummy.

Nice ambience calls for photos to be taken; and here's one with me & Daddy... :)

Unfortunately, I was getting really cranky after one whole day of activity. And I was badly in need of some sleep, so poor Daddy & Mummy had to ta-pao the food back to the hotel room to makan. Hee hee...

Let's see if I can remember what they had for dinner...there's the drunken prawns, chilli crabs, steamed red garoupa, calamari and fried kai-lan. Not bad huh...too bad I can't eat yet leh. Haiz.....

Day 3 and it's time to go home! :(

While waiting for the transport to arrive to send us to the ferry terminal, I got to take some more pictures!

Here's me & Mummy on the rickshaw by the pool...

All in all, it was a fun & relaxing trip! I really enjoyed myself a lot, and I'm sure Daddy & Mummy did too. Heh.

I wanna fly on an aeroplane next!
HAHAHAHA!

Batam: Episode II

5 comments :
One thing I like about the resort is the really huge pool! It really is very very big leh, deepest end is 2.20m. Scary hor... *shudder*

The pool sure looks gigantic right???
It has goalposts for water polo even...and not to mention a kiddie pool, complete with slides! Whoopee!!! :)

And so off we went for our first swim at the resort!
But wait...I gotta put on my superhero costume first har...

QUACK QUACK QUACK!
Guess who?

IT'S ME LAH!
Hahahaha....

My towel chio or not? Mummy's friend, Wendy, bought it for me. I love it very much! :)

And so it's off to the kiddie pool proper...

The weather was very nice throughout; sunny in the morning and not too hot in the afternoon, with clouds in the sky. Just right for a nice swim (& tan). :P

Here's me enjoying some time on the slide. I can't really play on the slide yet, but I'm just content to sit on the bottom of it for now. And of course to keep my duckie company too. Heh.

After all the lazing around, I decided to go for a little swim...

Phew! All that swimming tired me out so quickly. Me think it's just as nice to lie down and play with the water...

Picture swee boh? Daddy likes the above shot a lot...('Cos he took the picture one mah) Hahahaha....

Anyway, I love to hit things using my hands right now. It's something I find interesting and amusing to do. Especially when all the water splashed onto my face when I do that. Hee...

Soon, it was time to get put of the pool, cos I was getting chao-tar... :(
So one last parting shot of the pool...with Mummy.

The place behind us was where Mummy went for her spa session.

Hmmm...
SPA? What's that? Can eat one or not?

Oh well, it was back to my warm & fluffy duckie towel...

I'll be back with the concluding episode of my Batam adventure tomorrow!
:)

Batam: Episode I

1 comment :
And so begins my 3 day adventure in Batam...

We stayed at the Harris Resort, which a was a very nice place with a very large swimming pool. Its staff were very friendly too, offering to baby-sit me while Daddy & Mummy were having dinner. Hee...

And of course, it's cheap! Haha...Daddy said it costs S$80 per pax inclusive of ferry (FOC for me! :p) for a 3D2N stay. Cheap cheap hor...

And so off we go! Here's me waiting at the train station, all dressed up and raring to go!

Me in the MRT...hmmm...where did everyone go???

Finally, we reached the resort liao! Yay! And I got a shock when I saw the bed in the room...

It's so very the big hor?!?!? Hahaha...Now I can sleep well, without worrying Daddy crushing me in his sleep. :P

Speaking of big, Daddy's & Mummy's luggage bag also vely besar ah...
See? I think it can fit 3 little Ashtons inside you know.

But I know bo pian lah...'cos Daddy & Mummy gotta bring all my stuff; like diapers, toiletries, wipes, towels, cereal, containers, bottled food, my bolster, soft toy...like my caterpillar...

...and still got some of my other toys too. Hee hee...

What's a holiday without some shopping right? Erm, at least that applies to Mummy. Heh heh...so off we go to this brand new shopping mall in Batam Centre for Mummy's sake.

We took a cab there, and along the way instead of sleeping, I was trying to grab hold of Daddy's camera...

The mall was a tad disappointing, save for a few nice shops. In the end, Daddy & Mummy had to amuse themselves by doing this...at my expense of course.

But at least Daddy & Mummy mangaed to get some really cheap Ralph Lauren POLO tees and shirts in the end. And Mummy got to eat her curly fries and drink her Root Beer Float too! 'Cos Mummy has been missing these foods ever since A&W withdrew its outlets from S'pore. Hee...

For dinner, we ate at this Pizza restaurant that serves really nice pizza. The crust is ultra thin and the toppings are juicy & yummy. I didn't taste it lah, but that's what Daddy exclaimed when he bit into the pizza. Heh. As for me, I just had to make do with the bread...

The next day, I woke up really late. Usually, I'm awake at about 7am but on that day I slept til 9am! I dunno if it's the comfy hotel bed or the cool air-con...but I sure felt refreshed after close to 12 hours of sleep! :)

So here's me, looking all so handsome for the camera, after my beauty sleep. Hahaha...

Daddy & Mummy were famished as they waited for me to awake from my slumber...Heh. And so it was off to breakfast, buffet-style! I too ate my breakfast cereal together with Daddy & Mummy.

Phew! Long long post today huh...will continue with the rest tomorrow. In the meantime, here's a video of me laughing at some silly action by Daddy. What is that? Erm, I'm embarassed to even say it out...hahaha...

I'm laughing because Daddy is just throwing his slipper on the floor, and he keeps repeating it because it makes me laugh...Hee hee...

Be back tomorrow! :)

I'm Back!

Hi everyone! I'm back liao...
I must say it was really enjoyable, especially the swimming bit. Dunno if it's the hotel bed, but I can actually sleep for longer hours on the bed than if I'm at home! Hee hee...

Anyway, more on that in the next few days, complete with lots and lots of pictures! :)

Oh oh oh...I also appeared in my second Magazine this month! First one was here. This time, my picture is in Young Parents magazine, for a 'Funny Faces' column. As you can see, my picture was pretty farnee right? Heh heh...

Dumbo ears???

No comments :
Mummy Ash rambles:

Hubby use to say that he likes my mickey mouse ears cos he finds them cute. When I was preggers with Ashton, he mentioned that he hopes baby will inherit mummy's ears! Another one of my friend said the very same thing.... and I think the "curse" was laid :P

When Ash was born, the first thing I noticed was that he's got nice ears like his daddy... the kind that glues to the head such that when you take a frontal shot, you cannot see the ears. (When I look at my wedding photos, my ears were the firth thing I saw :P)

BUT.... as they say, a baby's look will change and they sure did! I found Ash's ears peeping out more and more. Haha, guess daddy is the winner afterall! He has got his Minnie Mouse and now Mickey Mouese. My consolation is that people with dumbo ears will still look pretty... see Ivy Lee. As for the male celebrities, have yet to think of one.... let me know when you have :)

A pic of Ashy with my ears and the only family pic we have (besides the neoprints)

Leopard Crawl

No comments :
I've got a new playmat area in the living room.

I suspect it's because Daddy & Mummy want to watch TV in the living room. So in this way, they can watch over me at the same time. Heh heh...

It's pretty colourful huh? :)

I've also started crawling these past few weeks; although it's more like dragging my body along the floor. Hahaha... It's pretty tough work you know...as the video below will show. :p (you just have to click on the 'Play' button to play the vid)

Some more pictures of me playing on my mat...

Toys Toys Toys! (part two)

No comments :
Alrighty then, let's get back to my world of toys...
:)

Mummy decided to get me these Stacking Blocks to "improve my motor skills & cognitive abilities". Cheem, very cheem hor...hahaha...I also catch no ball lah.

All I know is that each of the block has its own activity and movement; and that I'll just need to press the top for some spinning action! Or I can also stack them up like this...

And I can press, flip, spin, turn them in anyway I want. Of course, I can lick them too...hee...

But my best way of playing with the blocks - To throw them all around! HAHAHA...

Next up...my Pop-Onz Playsets.

They are machiam like Lego; I can build the blocks in anyway I want. It also has music and comes with a spinning table as well. You can place the pieces on the spinning table and watch it go round & round. Hee...

Very colourful hor?

And yes, I can't resist the occasional 'anything-also-can-put-in-my-mouth' moment.

Of course, I can't do build the blocks by myself yet. Daddy & Mummy have to help me to do that, and they also tell me stories as they place the pieces.

Very nice... :)

Toys Toys Toys! (part one)

1 comment :
Last weekend, Daddy & Mummy went into a toys buying fit.

And this was the result...

WOO HOO!!!
Very very shiok ah! Banyak banyak masak-masak! :)

Hahahaha....
Drats, I still can't stop laughing to myself... hiak hiak...

But Daddy also got something for himself too lah. -_-

Some Star Wars stuff...something I'm not quite familiar with yet. But I'm told Daddy got loads of them tucked away in the storeroom somewhere.

Anyway, back to MY toys...

First up, my Thomas & friends Train set!
I love watching my choo choo train go round and round the track. Amazingly, it's able to hold my attention for quite a long while...

See how HAPPY I am with it? Hee...

My second toy of Fisherprice train set, 'cos it was on offer. :p
Daddy & Mummy say I can bring this set to Grandpa's & Grandma's place during the weekdays to keep me company...Yay! :) This train is just as fun too; it chugs round the railway track, playing music along the way at the same time!

My turn to act Godzilla and terrorise the little train...
Hee hee...

Phew!
I didn't know it could be this tiring playing with my toys! Hahaha...
Gotta take a rest first.

I'll be back with Part 2 of my toys collection tomorrow.
Stay tuned! :)

Want a taste of my lime sherbet flavoured toy car? :P
