The Barrage@Marina

We checked out yet another new place recently - the Marina Barrage!

The Marina Barrage is a dam built across the Marina Channel to keep out the seawater, thus forming Singapore’s first reservoir in the city. But enough of all that mumbo jumbo, what di-di & I really want to know is - Is it any fun there??? :P

For starters, Mummy promised that we'll be having a picnic there, 'cos there's a big big big patch of grass area just for families or couples to sit down and enjoy the fantastic view of the Marina area.

So in order to get there, we have to slowly make our way up this long ramp... and of course I couldn't wait lah!

But di-di was taking his own sweet time lor...

See? He was still dilly-dallying, and swinging his bubble bottle leisurely. Hmph.

At last, we reached! I quickly prompted Daddy to lay out our mat. Hee hee...

And YEP, the view was definitely the clincher!

Time for a one family photo...

... before we started playing with bubbles... now we're talking!

I also found some time to pose for the camera too...

HAHAHAHA... no lah, actually I was playing football with di-di. But nevertheless, I still posed for the camera AFTER I had kicked the ball. Yes yes, still very much the poser. :P

We then got a little bit hungry, and so proceeded to tear into our whole basket of picnic goodies - which contained 2 packets of Cheezels & water. Err, yuppo... that was about it.

Hahaha.... well, it was actually close to dinner time, so Mummy didn't want us to snack too much lor. Not that di-di cared anyway.

He just kept on stuffing the cheese rings into his mouth!

I then decided to take over the camera, and made di-di my first subject.

Not bad hor? I was pretty pleased with them. Hee hee... so now Daddy is thinking of getting me a cheapo digicam for my own personal use. Ooh...

I also took a family shot, sans me of course.

Then it time for for me to make silly faces at the camera, together with Daddy & di-di! :P

The sun was setting pretty nicely, and Daddy said we would leave very soon.

That was our cue to get started on our crazy games involving bags then.

First on my head...

Then di-di obviously had to copy me...

Then came the gunnysack-inspired game...

Which di-di also followed...

But he couldn't jump with it much 'cos it was a paper bag. So he figured a Hawaiian-style dance in the sunset would be rather ingenious too. Hahaha...

After Mummy emptied me out of the bag...

... we sat down and admired the sunset...

Of course there would be no shortage of poses and photos.

The sunset was really beautiful and so, do remember to go in the late afternoon or evening so that you can catch the sunset too. Also not too hot then lah... hee hee...

A final photo with Wally before we went for our makan!

Fun outing this time around; definitely we would want to be back again soon! Maybe when the 7th Storey Hotel Charcoal Steamboat restaurant opens there next month! Yummy!
