Genting Indoors

Over the weekend, we drove up to Genting Highlands for a short 2 nights getaway, together with Kong-kong, Por-por, Ku-ku & Jie-jie Sherlyn.

It's Kong-kong's belated birthday treat, and of course both di-di & I were super excited to be going on a road trip!

We stayed at the recently spruced-up Hotel Theme Park and truth be told, we were pleasantly surprised that the rooms looked rather new and neat.

No wonder the both of us simply adored the room! Hahaha...

There are 2 main theme parks there; an outdoor one and an indoor one. And ever since that I knew of the existence of these theme parks (courtesy of Daddy), I have been clamouring to go to either one. :P

And so first up - the Indoor one!

Wah say... I tell you, there are so many rides and rides and rides inside the indoor theme park. And best of all, the Genting people are smart to put so many shops inside too... so that all the adults will be attracted to go there, and in turn bring us kids along too lor. Hahahaha...

Which is why Daddy & Kong-kong were stuck with us while Mummy & Por-por went off shopping! Hee hee...

But me think Kong-kong was very happy to bring us on all the rides too, like the merry-go-round and the fave of all di-di's & my faves - the car rides!

Yessir, di-di & I both loved sitting in the car rides so much that we must have gone on the rides for at least 12 times. Each. Over the course of 2 nights. Hee hee...

And it was quite a funny sight to watch us repeatedly going for the same car ride actually. 'Cos every time the ride finishes, I will quickly scramble out off the car, make my way out and run run run all the way to the entrance to queue once again. 'Cos I told Daddy my aim was to sit in different cars each time mah. And di-di? He will just follow by running behind me lor. Hahaha...

I also tried my hand in steering the bumper car meant for kids. And I rather good at it too! Well, save for the initial moment where I rammed onto the side railing and I got stuck. But I pretty much got used to it after that minor hiccup.

Mummy & Por-por joined us for the family rides too... where we can sit in a ship which is suspended from the shopping plaza's ceiling and it goes round the plaza, giving us a bird's eye view of the plaza. And giving Mummy more ideas on where to shop too I think. Heh.

Di-di was struggling to break free from Mummy's clutches in the photo above, 'cos he wanted to look out of the ship instead of posing for photos. :P

We also sat on the reindeer sleigh ride and had a go at the train ride... all those sandwiched between our numerous rides on the car rides and merry-go-round. kekeke...

Well, time always whizz past way too fast whenever we are having fun. Loads of it to be precise.

Well, at least there was the outdoor theme park to look forward to! Hurray!

Hi! I love reading your blog and adventures with your boys. They are beautiful. We are planning a trip to Genting. Did you drive by yourself or you went by coach? How are the boys during the long trip? Did you make any stopovers? Thanks for the advice in advance.

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for dropping by!

We drove up by ourselves, left S'pore abt 11am and reached Genting at 3.30pm; with a 1 hour lunch break in between.

The boys were pretty ok during the trip, they slept for abt 2 hrs of the journey so it wasn't too bad.

Have a good trip! :)
