Train Park

Di-di & I were off to a new park, which Daddy & Mummy promised that it was something special.

A huge train; where we could climb onboard and play ourselves silly - that's something you don't normally see in a park! Well, it's actually not very new lah... just that we haven't been to Tiong Bahru Park before lor. Hee.

Anyway, di-di & I were so happy to be running amok and climbing through the obstacles on the wooden train! The train carriages are all slightly slanted, so one would have to walk through the carriages with skill. Erm, like me. HAHAHA...

When I got bored of climbing up and down, I tried out the Flying Fox... which I needed Daddy's help to push me along. Good hor... exercise for him too. :P

I made Daddy work out again when I chased him through the maze too... kekeke...

After which, di-di & I decided to climb up to the train once again.

'Cos we wanted to wheeeee down the long slide mah... but the slide scorched my bum though, all thanks to Mr. Sun.

Then we decided to take a rest in the shade, when di-di spotted this mini-car...

... which he said was Bumblebee! Haha...

I also found a car of my own, which I said was Jazz 'cos it's all white mah.

There was even this retro-looking merry-go-round, which we also had great fun spinning ourselves dizzy on it.

Yet another great Singapore workout on a sunny weekend...

only advice is to go earlier if you don't want to scorch your backside on the slides! Hahaha...

Hi,

It's nearby Tiong Bahru Shopping Centre.

Link of the park here: http://www.nparks.gov.sg/cms/index.php?option=com_visitorsguide&task=parks&id=37&Itemid=73

hello there, I have three grandchildren coming from NZ beginning of August for 3 weeks. 4.5years, 3year and 5month old. This could be fun but what time of the day would be suitable for them please. Do you know if insects esp mosquitos are a problem??

Hello my grandchildren 4.5yrs 3yrs and 5mths old are coming to SG from NZ for 3 weeks in August. Is this park shaded? if not, what time of the day would be suitable for them (the heat will get to them) and also is there a problem with insects there, especially mosquitos...
Thanks

Hi Sandra & Ed,

Thanks for dropping by my blog!

The park is slightly shaded, but for the parts where the slides and swings are, they are not shaded.

I think 9am or 5pm will be good times to go as it will not be too hot then.

No issue of mosquitoes or other bugs when I brought my kids there the last time.

Hope the info helps! :)
