Taking the Party outside

Sponsored Post
(Daddy outsources)

Any parents who had hosted their kid's birthday party at home will have felt the anguish of having to watch a herd of excitable, sugar-fuelled monkies take over their house and leave a trail of destruction after them.

We held most of Ash's and Ayd's birthday parties at home and all were cosy affairs with close friends and their kids. And as much as I adore my kids and their buddies, I have to admit when it comes to controlling the chaos (and mess) at home, it is near impossible. With each passing birthday, the kids get more rambunctious and the parties become more riotous.

Which is why I have come to realise that outsourcing a kid’s birthday party can be one of the the greatest gift a parent can give to themselves. And with Ale turning three years old in less than a week's time, we will be taking her party elsewhere.

But I know, when you are choosing an external venue for your kid's birthday party, there is still some homework to be done first. Check out the venue, food, activities provided, and sometimes even accessibility and parking. Well, the one place that I found that ticks all the boxes is Swensen's.

At Swensen's, not only will the child have the coolest birthday party in town, parents can remain chill over the preparations - or the lack of - required for the party. All because everything will be prepared in meticulous fashion. That, and the following benefits too:

No need to stress over a theme
Dora or Barney? Dinosaurs or Robots? Balloons or streamers? How about a mouse-themed party that doesn't involve Mickey? The beauty of having your party at an external location is that you don’t have to worry about the theme. At Swensen's, the decorations are all taken care of and all you have to do is to choose your party - Tea Party (with finger food) or the kick-ass Ice Cream & Dessert Party. Yes, my choice is obvious.

The kids are kept busy
For once, just kick back, relax and actually take the time to enjoy the occasion. Take your pick from a host of professional party hosting packages (available upon request) which includes activities like balloon sculpting, ice cream sundae making and games. Definitely and infinitely more exciting than jumping on my sofa at my place.

Food magically appears
Maybe I’m just extremely lazy, but I detest the idea of having to prepare tons of food for a party. The endless cycle of preparation, setting up and cleaning up, plus the added stress of having people create a mess in my home. A big no-no for me.

So for Swensen's Birthday Tea Party, it comes with a choice of 5 main courses, free flow of soft drinks, coffee and tea, single scoop of ice-cream for all the guests, printable Birthday Party E-invitation cards, a 1kg Swensen’s Special Ice Cream Cake and Free Kid’s Club Membership for all kids present!

If you opt for the Ice Cream & Dessert Party instead, guests will be able indulge in over 50 ice cream flavors with more than 40 exciting toppings, a delightful assortment of delicious cakes, waffles, pastries and chocolate fondue fountains! Plus free flow of soft drinks, coffee and tea, printable Birthday Party E-invitation cards,a 1kg Swensen’s Special Ice Cream Cake and Free Kid’s Club Membership for all kids present too!

No cleaning up
For me though, this has got to be the best reason of all to take my kid's party away from my home. Just say bye-bye to the party war zone and head back to my clean house when it is all over. Best feeling in the world. Ever.

So now all that is left to do is to draw up Ale's Birthday Party's guest list, send out the invites and I will be able to relak one corner after that. So do stay tuned on my future blog post on her happening party!

In the meantime, should you want to find out more about throwing the perfect party for your child at Swensen’s, visit HERE. And ‘Like’ Swensen’s on Facebook at www.facebook.com/SwensensSingapore to stay updated on its promotions and offers too!

Oh and one last thing - in case you didn't know, every child enjoys a FREE sundae on his/her birthday! There is absolutely no purchase required. All you have to do is to bring along your child's Birth Certificate for verification. For us, it is a family ritual that my monkies will never pass up whenever their birthdays come along.
