Legoman!

2 comments :
Lately, I've taken a renewed interest in my mega-Lego building blocks. Partly because my toys have been doing the vanishing act one by one and I'm almost left with none of my toys liao. Haha... truth is they are all safely stashed away in the many boxes, in anticipation of the big move.

And so, I just have to make do with my new friend - Legoman!

Handsome or not? I mean him, not me. Heh. I built him all by myself, after Daddy showed me one time of course.

But I also enjoy pushing him and letting him disintegrate, and building him back up again. How traumatising for him... no wonder I've got to kiss him to say sorry. :P

Moving...

2 comments :
We are moving... not the blog, but our house.

We are shifting closer to Ma-ma's and Ye-ye's house so that di-di and I don't have to wake up so early every weekday morning and go home so late every weekday night. Poor tired little fellas we are hor...

So until next Sunday and perhaps a few days after that, when we will be officially shifting... me think Daddy will be too busy and tired to update our blog as regularly lah. Check back then for photos of our new nest! :)

Here's a random shot of a photo I took in our new place when Daddy brought me along to take a look at the progress of the renovations...

Machiam like firewoks in the sky hor? Hee hee...

It's actually a reflection of my new lighting in my (and di-di's) room!

Ooh, I can't wait! 'Cos Daddy said I got a new Spiderman mattress cover and a Nemo one too! Can't wait to sleep on it... Heh.

School Hunting

No comments :
Daddy & Mummy have finally proceeded to start the ball rolling.

Finding a Nursery school for me that is. They're looking to dump, I mean, place me in one come January next year. Not that I'm dreading it lah. Or looking forward to it for that matter.

I'm, erm, just cool about it.

There was one day where Daddy, Mummy and Ku-jie brought me to various nursery schools around Ma-ma's & Ye-ye's house to see which one best suited me. I was pretty happy; quite simply curious about all the kor-kors and jie-jies attending their lessons. So maybe I think I feel I will love school life? :P

So which school? The jury's still out on that one.

Chek Jawa

No comments :
Yesterday, Daddy & Muumy brought us cheekiemonkies on yet another adventure outing - Pulau Ubin!

This time, we were aiming to go jalan jalan at Chek Jawa; the fragile ecosystem that's so dear to Singapore nature.

The morning started off pretty bleak though; 'cos the sky was overcast and I thought there goes my chance of riding in a traditional bumboat. But heng heng, the skies cleared up as we were on our way to the Changi Village jetty and I got my wish of riding in a bumboat; though the engine was pretty loud - so loud til I had to cup my ears with my hands throughout the journey. Hee.

But once we were on Ubin, I was raring to go! But not before stocking up on some fluids first...

And then we were off! Chek Jawa is quite some distance away from the jetty and no, Daddy & Mummy didn't feel like pedalling us there on bicycles. Not with 1 big haversack and 2 fidgety monkies. And definitely not with the bumpy earth trails. Not yet anyway; maybe when we are older. Or so Daddy says. Hahaha...

So anyway, we got this old uncle to ferry there in his van and we were there in no time!

And so began my trek into Chek Jawa...

Oh, I even had the opportunity to brush up my photo-taking skills to use. And this was one of the shots I snapped.

How is it? Machiam like the Blair Witch Project, Daddy said. Hmph!

Back to our trek...

Actually, Chek Jawa was only recently re-opened so that the boardwalks could be constructed for visitors to be able to walk freely around and view the many eco-life that reside there. So now, although you can't snuggle up close with the plants and animals, you need not get your feet wet. A very important criteria for me, 'cos I'm a stickler for cleanliness. :P

And there were quite a lot of stuff to see; like the mangrove swamps, tiny tadpoles, mudskippers, crabs and if you are really lucky, one or two mud lobsters too!

No wonder I was in such a buoyant mood; running along the boardwalk like nobody's business. Hahaha...

And in case you are wondering how come there are no photos of di-di yet... that's because he had been fast asleep since we began our trek. Heh.

But he was soon awake...

Just in time for our short time-out at the rest pavilion.

And needless to say, di-di was full of boundless energy. And Daddy also went camera gila...

After recharging, we were off again!

And I had great fun especially picking up the different sizes of pebbles, leaves and sticks along the way. :P

Soon, the trek came to an end; and we took a well-deserved break sipping our water, perched ontop a nice rock overlooking the vast turquoise sea. Shiok!

Me think di-di and me could spend forever sitting there... hahaha...

But we gave in to our rumbling tummies and we were soon back near the jetty, tucking into our yummy lunches!

Think Daddy & Mummy were super hungry too lor, 'cos they makan finish already, di-di still hadn't finish! Hee hee...

With our buldging tummies, we headed back to the jetty to take our ride back to mainland. But not before stopping to take a look at this uncle who was very good at catching crabs. Poor flower crabs though... kena tangkap 'cos they were greedy.

Our bumboat soon arrived and I bade farewell to this nice island. Hope we'll be back again soon! :)

My handsome Twin

No comments :
Recently, I've made myself a new playmate. That explains why I'm feeling so happy!

I've found my missing twin, that's why.

YUPPO, my current fave activity is going up to this reflective-looking wall and look for him. He very good; I laugh, he laughs. I scream, he screams. Very cooperative. :P

Other than that, I'm growing (and fattening) up really nicely. I've graduated to the traditional crawling style liao; unlike my previous pattern was to crawl like a caterpillar. Legs are getting stronger; I'm able to stand on my own for a earth-shattering, record-breaking grand total of... are you ready for it... ONE second.

Ok, gotta go back to talk to my twin. TTFN*!
:)

See, so many cars!

No comments :
On Sunday, Daddy & Mummy brought di-di and me to see many many cars - at the Car-nival at Expo.

Pardon the quality of the photos though... Daddy left the digicam in the car and he lazy to walk all the way back to take lah. So we just had to make do with the cam phone instead.

I'm really into cars right now. But no, not the toy cars one hor... only the real stuff please. Yep, I love climbing into the new cars, plonking myself onto the driver seat and using my whatever extensive knowledge of driving to imagine myself crusing along the road. Also playing with the dashboard controls of course. Hee hee...

I even gave di-di a ride too ah. And I figured he was pretty happy about it too. :P

I also did try my hand test-driving other cars... shiok only. Hahaha... not to mention the free popcorn, candy floss and ice cream that were given away. Lagi shiok!

The Big 'A'

No comments :
Recently, I've taken a special liking to going jalan-jalan at Ikea. Yuppo, the big gigantic furniture store at Tampines. The one I affectionately refer to as Big 'A'.

Why big 'A' ah? Orh... 'cos since last year, whenever Daddy drives past the place, I was able to see the big letters of I, K, E and A. But at that time I only recognised the letter 'A' mah. So I called the place the Big 'A' lor. Hahaha... And the name just stuck.

And when I'm there... after all the walking around, I must have my combo meal. Hotdog & Ice cream! Salty and sweet - what a treat! :P

I can tell that di-di loves the ice cream there too! Hee hee... hmmm, maybe we'll pop down there again this Saturday after dinner. What say you, Daddy?

These past 30 months...

No comments :
...had gone by so fast; especially for Daddy & Mummy. So let's recap, shall we?

Here's me at gosong months...

6 months...

12 months...

18 months...

24 months...

And so, 30 months today! And what better to mark this special day than to have a little surprise from Daddy... a little Thomas the Train cake. Hee hee...

Yah, when I say small, it's really small lor. Small enough for only me to eat. Hahaha...

Anyway, before eating the cake, there are the standard procedures to follow. And I was asked to make a wish.

When I was asked what did I wish for, I replied, "CAKE!"

Yah, easily contented fella I am.

Penguins & Sea lions

No comments :
There's a new show in town... I mean, the zoo actually, so we were off to the zoo yesterday! Yippee!

The show was called the Splash Safari, lead stars being the penguins and sea lions. My fave sea animals of the moment! Hee hee...

Heng we went early to chope seats ah... so so so many people! But hor, if you never bring extra set of clothes to change, then better don't sit in the first row. 'Cos the sea lions very naughty lah; they like to splash water. So funny... to see people scream when the water kena them... hahaha...

Soon, the show started and as usual, I was thoroughly engrossed in the show. Think di-di was too...

The show was very nice indeed! Especially the sea lion, he very smart you know... can fetch ball, can jump, can stand upright, can smile too. Hey, actually I can do all these too also what. :P

Lunch followed, and then it was the usual but definitely the place I adored so very much - the Children's Play Pool!

Hmmm... I look a bit bashful in the photo above huh. Hahaha... but trust me, I was anything but that when I hit the water lor. But I think di-di was a bit wary at first... after all, it was his first time at the zoo's play pool area.

Even the running water held him back....

For a while.

Then he was off crawling around the circumference of the pool area at break-neck speed! Heh...

While I still continued to chill out in the cool water...

Still feeling shiok monkeying around...

Not forgetting to use the water spray gun there to spray at other kids... but I quite bobo shooter lah. :P

And all this while, di-di was still crawling about in the pool lor... Hee hee...

Soon it was time to go home and after having enough fun, I happily let Daddy clean me up. Yah, very good boy hor...

Hope we'll be back at the zoo really soon! :)
