Hectic Saturday of FUN!

No comments :
Thanks to all your well-wishes - Daddy is recovering very well... in fact so well that di-di & I had an action-packed Saturday over the weekend!

We caught a play, 'Upstairs in the Sky', at the DBS Arts Centre in the morning and we really enjoyed it lots!

Ahh, but the more fun bits were yet to come as we headed down to DXO to meet up with Clara after that.

YUP, DXO the clubbing club. Hee hee... the one that adults go to chiong. But no worries, we haven't taken to the nightlife (yet) but it was the inaugural Baby Loves Disco Singapore edition being held there!

So it was actually a fun-filled gathering for all toddlers, children and adults alike, with finger food, drinks (non-alcoholic of course!), disco music, lightings and party goodies!

The music soon got int our system and we couldn't wait to hit the dance floor...

...to catch the many bubbles hovering around the dance floor! Hee hee...

The retro music being spun was good - good enough to get the adults jiggy with it. :P

And Clara, di-di & me even pranced onto the stage to lead the floor in one mass dance event. Hahahaha.... of course Daddy had to be dragged up along with us. :P

After 2.5 hours of solid dancing fun in the afternoon, we headed down to Thomson Medical Centre to welcome the arrival of Daddy's friends' newborn - Baby Zenith!

And I got a nice surprise as we bumped into Benji & Sarah at the ward too.

I think by this time, our batteries were 60% drained but we still had one more engagement to attend and that was Brandon's & Kaylene's newborn sister's full month party!

Happy one month, Baby Tricia! Faster grow up so that you can run amok together with us... much like we did that night at your party. Hee hee...

With so much fun in one single day, it was no surprise that di-di & I zonked out at 8.30pm that night! Hmmmm... I wonder if Daddy & Mummy sneaked out for any supper session or not... :P

Out of Action

No comments :
Sorry for the lack of updates, 'cos Daddy was hospitalised over the weekend due to appendicitis. So he had undergone an operation to cut away that useless appendix and is now recuperating at home. And the past weekend for di-di & me was keeping him company, while erm... playing the iPhone in his ward.

Hee hee... but everything's alright lah. Daddy just needs his rest. :P

Over the weekend, Daddy & Mummy decided to put our blades and skates to good use... so off they packed di-di & me to the Botanic Gardens for a lesson in balance.

It was the first time donning my rollerblades, and it was sure tough trying to stay up on my 2 feet! Di-di was having an easier time though, primarily 'cos he was wearing my old Fisherprice skates.

He could pretty much balance well on the skates, but ask him to start moving... well, there was the erm, occasional slip.

THUD. Hee hee...

Luckily we were both well padded.

I soon got the hang of balancing after a while, and began to walk ever so gingerly on the ground.

Hey, at least we got improvement okay? Heh.

But a sudden gust of wind blew in our direction and we tumbled down like Lego bricks.

Hahaha, ok just kidding. :P

But seriously, I had fun though I couldn't exactly be mobile enough to blade... but at least I was game to go for lessons in blading when Mummy pitched the idea to me. :)

As for di-di, he was complaining about the heat after 20 minutes of the balancing act. -_-

With famished tummies, we headed down to a place we had never been before - The Tanglin Tree.

It's a bistro, opposite Tanglin Mall. The food is pretty decent and prices are reasonable, but we all know that couldn't be the main reason for us being there right?

The REAL reason is this:

A colourful wooden play house, together with swings and slides, is the obvious attraction for families with young children. Heh.

And obviously, di-di & I went absolutely wild when we saw it.

It's built on sand by the way, much like a beach house... so if you are not icky about having sand between your toes (like us!), you will definitely have a great time climbing up and down the house...

... and sliding your way all the way down!

Or having a swing or two would be just as nice too!

There's also a tiny non-sand play area for toddlers at the side, together with a small sink and hose for a quick wash-up when our food arrived.

Needless to say, we gobbled up our food pretty fast so as to spend more time back at the play house. Kekekekeke...

Ayden's birthday celebrations

2 comments :
Woohoo! I turned 4 last Tuesday, one day after Singapore turned 45 years old. And for the rest of my school life at least, it will always be a school holiday on my birthday! Hee hee...

And since I love ice cream (
kor-kor doesn't by the way... it's so so so weird if you ask me. :P), no prizes for guessing where we headed to for my free ice cream treat.

Yummy Firehouse ice cream at Swensen's!

Then the next day, Daddy & Mummy brought along a birthday cake to my school so that my classmates would be able to celebrate along with me. Hee hee...

I specifically requested for a Toy Story cake! And it kinda broke my heart when I had to cut Woody & Buzz in half. :P

At least everyone wanted a piece of the cake!

But not before I requested to take a photo with my dear kor-kor...

I certainly enjoyed my birthday lots! Now to plan for next year's... hahaha...
