My First Movie

No comments :
Yesterday, Daddy brought me to my first movie - Shrek 3! Yep, that green ogre which I had slight contact with, courtesy of Daddy's DVDs of the 2 previous shows. Hee hee...

So how did I fare in the cinema?

Well, considering Daddy was prepared to forgo watching how the story ended, it turned out pretty well I must admit; at least for the first 3/4 of it anyway. I spent the last 1/4 of the show climbing up and down the seat, primarily because I got tired of waiting for Shrek to come onto the screen. Hahaha...

Yah lor, I don't understand how come Shrek doesn't appear in the show ALL the time. So whenever he's missing from the screen, I'll ask Daddy' "Where's Shrek?" In a hushed voice of course. Hee.

Anyway, I quite enjoyed the show, though Daddy thinks it sucked compared to the first two. Oh well, he's one hard to please fella.

At least I got my Shrek toy collection from McDonalds after the show! Hee hee...

Conrad Comfort

No comments :
Over the weekend, we stayed over at Conrad hotel together with Ye-ye, Ma-ma, Ku-jie, Yi-kong, Yi-por and Uncle Bernard.

It was the perfect timing to stay there, 'cos it was the start of the Great Singapore Sale! Hahaha... Ooh, more stuff for me and di-di! :P

You can't really tell from the photo, but I can assure you that di-di was very excited about the hotel stay. Really.

Obviously, I was the one who was really excited about the flurry of activity that was to follow... hehe...

'Cos it was time for my fave activity - swimming!

But too bad they didn't have a baby or toddlers' pool leh; so I just had to make do by playing and splashing water on the pool steps.

Check out my belly siah. Hahaha... lucky not as big as Daddy's yet. If not, my blog will have to be called chunkiemonkie liao.

Then it was off to yummy dinner and we hit the shops after that! Suntec City was having late night shopping, so no need to say lah... the adults gleefully walked and walked and walked... til I nodded off in the stroller...

And so next morning...

Boy, was di-di in a fantastic mood! Heh.

I, on the other hand, was still in a pretty subdued mood. 'Cos haven't brush teeth yet mah; don't dare to open my mouth to smile too big lah.

But I perked up on hearing that a superb wide array of buffet breakfast was waiting for me downstairs! kekeke... think di-di must have overheard that too.

A nice and short nuah over the weekend, only thing was - how come Daddy & Mummy didn't buy any toys for di-di & me when they went shopping leh?!?!?!

Jealousy Manifesting?

1 comment :
Recently, we have observed that Ash is getting jealous over the minor of things. Of course, the target of this jealousy appears to stem from Ayden's ever-evolving motor and vocal skills.

Ayden seems bent on irritating the life out of Ash nowadays, whether knowingly or unknowingly. He loves crawling up to his older brother and completes his routine with a WWE-style tumble onto Ash. Sometimes he even throws in a free tug of the hair. But Ash, being the good natured boy that he is, hardly complains and will just attempt to siam him. Quite hilarious, actually.

What actually irks the older brother is that Ayden always try to grab his stuff; things like marker pens, car toys and not a whole lot of other stuff actually. Just his entire collection of playthings. So when Ayden does that, Ash just scoops up ALL of his toys, yanks away whatever Ayden is grabbing, and throws them onto an area of the floor where his poor di-di can't reach.

But lest everyone thinks Ash is one selfish bugger, he does have his sweet sharing moments too. Sometimes, when Ayden is in one of his crying fits, Ash voluntarily offers one of his toys to him in an attempt to comfort his little brother. And sweetness of all sweetness, he throws in a Barney-inspired hug as well.

Now we just have to wait til Ayden grows slightly older, when he can walk and talk better. Boy, are we going to be in for a spectacular show just seeing how the 2 boys 'interact' over their sacred toys. *shudder*

Playground Pester

No comments :
As I grow older with each passing day, I'm forming more and more opinions about certain matters.

Like the time when Daddy brought me to the pasar malam to sit on the kiddie rides. I had already planned on which kiddie ride to sit first and which one to sit after that. No amount of persuasion from Daddy could sway me from my decision. It was the elephant ride first, followed by the helicopter ride.

Or nowadays, I've been always pestering Ma-ma to bring me to the playground downstairs.

Well, if di-di could talk, I am sure I would have a strong ally with me too. Just look at how happy he is while sitting on the rocking horse. Hee hee...

So it's no wonder that Kong-kong & Por-por also bring me to the playground sometimes during the weekends too! :)

Di-di's first competition

No comments :
Today di-di went for his very first baby competition.

And he bagged a consolation prize! Not bad for a first timer lah...

Judging criteria was pretty simple though... di-di just had to make a brief appearance on stage and then, he was plonked down in a make-shift gym area for some own-time-own-target play. And that was it.

Too bad the judges never ask him to smile lah; if they did he confirm win liao lor. Hee hee...

Imagine & Play

No comments :
Recently, I'm coming up with more and more ways to play. Just the other night, I held onto my bolster and used it as a boat as I 'rowed' along the floor. Dady wanted to sit with me but I didn't allow. I scared my boat sink lah... :P

Anyway, one of my other 'TOY-of-the-MOMENT' has to be my Playdoh playset. There's this nifty device that you can squeeze the doh through many of the tiny holes and out come all these long wriggly worms... and it truly takes quite a fair bit of effort to squeeze you know. Just look at my constipated face.

Then I take on the imaginary role of a hairdresser and go snip snip snip... off with the worms! Hee...

Amazingly, time duration spent on this playset? A good whole 40 minutes of me playing by myself. Plenty of time for Daddy to read the newspapers I reckon. Hahaha...

Happy Mummies Day!

No comments :
Today's Mothers' Day! So di-di and I would like to wish all MUMMIES a very stupendously happy and meaningful Mothers' Day! :)

We had a very healthy and yummy organic breakfast at Bishan Park with por-por and kong-kong. It's a nice place there, with all the nice greenery and flowers. Not to mention the huge amount of space for me to run about.

Then in the evening, we had dinner with ma-ma, ye-ye and ku-jie at Changi Airport. Yah, we had to run all the way there to makan, 'cos we scared everywhere also full house lah... since it's mothers' day. :P

Words of Wisdom

No comments :
Just the other day, Ash suddenly, without any warning whatsoever, spouted this heck of a gem:

"Papa watch football...
Ashton eat fishball."

I think we have a poet on our hands. Either that, or a stand-up comedian.

Happy 9 months, Ayden!

2 comments :
9 months of happiness...

Hi son,

In August 2006, you were delivered to our family at a hefty 3.265kg (a whopping 350g heavier than your kor-kor). Even at our first meeting then, we could catch a earful of your character - a feisty and loud little one. You were our precious newborn then.

In September 2006, you were chubbing up nicely, filling up your 3-6 months clothings with relative ease. Life for you was relatively simple then- eat, sleep, poo and cry. You were 1 month old then.

In October 2006, you went for your first-ever overseas trip with us, kor-kor, kong-kong and por-por. Though it was just a short 1 night getaway, you enjoyed especially sleeping on the hotel bed. You also had your first swimming experience there, and let's just say, it wasn't love at first sight. You were 2 months old then.

In November 2006, it was getting easier and easier to make you smile and in the process, make the adults go weak in their knees. The cheeky smile that you own, together with kor-kor's, never fail to light up the faces of Mummy and mine. You were 3 months old then.

In December 2006, you were getting really pro at lying on your belly and lifting your head up. You were also getting very curious; the slightest sound or movement would make you stop drinking your milk and turn your head in that direction. Mummy just thinks that you are distracted easily. You were 4 months old then.

In January 2007, you were able to flip onto your tummy unassisted and boy, were you thrilled! You also had the chance to taste solid foods for the first time and I have to say you can really eat. 1 or 2 teaspoons of cereal were never enough for you; it had to be at least 3 teaspoons per meal before you were satisfied. Maybe you can join me for prata really soon? You were 5 months old then.

In February 2007, you were becoming more and more talkative. But only in the mornings when you will be in a super duper good mood. Afternoons were best left for milk and sleep for the cranky you. But you love talking gibberish best to kor-kor. The two of you can go on and on, talking in a secret language that only the both of you can understand. You were 6 months old then.

In March 2007, you had discovered the joys of sitting upright, although you were still relatively unstable then. Lying down on your back will not do it for you; only sitting up to play with your toys will make you one happy baby. You also started the habit of putting items into your mouth. Itchy gums perhaps? We checked but no teeth yet. You were 7 months old then.

In April 2007, you were getting more knowing of the environment around you. Whenever you see a familiar face, your face would light up like a Christmas lights on Orchard Road. And when they go out of sight, you would bawl pitifully. And yes, still no teeth. You were 8 months old then.

Now, you are crawling - by dragging your entire body along the floor. You are also taking a greater liking to swimming now. When you are immersed in the water, your arms will flap excitedly, splashing water everywhere. But still no teeth. You are 9 months old today.

Daddy, Mummy & Kor-kor will always love you, Ayden.

Love,
Daddy

Pulai Photos Photos Photos!

No comments :
Over the weekend, a special treat was lined up for Mummy since it was her special day on Monday. And lucky for di-di and me, we got to tag along to the Pulai Springs Resort in Johor too. Hee hee...

The room that we stayed in was part of a new hotel suites extension so it was very new and spacious too! Not to mention free breakfast and dinner were thrown in too... wah, no wonder Daddy wanted to come lah. :P

As usual, we were having loads of fun playing on the comfy hotel bed. But strangely, Daddy managed to capture a contrasting facial expressions of di-di and me. Hahaha...

I don't know what's up with di-di's sad face 'cos we were about to go swimming next to have a splashing good time!

The pool was very nice! It has a toddlers' pool, as well as a jacuzzi area. Which I enjoyed pressing the buttons to activate the jacuzzi, 'cos I liked seeing the many many bubbles erm, bubbling around in the water. Hee hee...

As you can see, di-di and me had a great time at the pool. And when Daddy said it was time to leave, I shot him a look.

Hee hee... but he promised to bring us back tomorrow morning, so we were back to the room for a quick shower and to makan dinner next! Yum!

After dinner, we drove out to do some shopping at Jusco and it was back to the room to recharge my energy in anticipation of more swimming tomorrow.

Next morning, and breakfast time!

I think di-di's favorite time of the day must be the meal times 'cos he's always in a happy mood when there's food. Hmm... sounds like someone I know. kekeke...

Me, on the other hand, was busy cutting up my omelette and sausage... and making funny faces too.

As usual, I can't really sit still for long, especially since I was already full. So I clamoured to be let down from my baby chair to go take a walk outside the cafe... to take a look at the flowers and koi pond outside. :)

But I was only itching to go swimming again of course and finally, the adults were done with their food! Heh.

Soon, it was approaching noon and it was time to say goodbye!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I think di-di did too. If only Mummy has her birthday every month...

I count, di-di laughs

No comments :
One night when we were all lying in bed, preparing to go to sleep... I decided to be a little bit hardworking and practice some counting. Di-di, on the other hand, found something better (and funnier) to do...

Pardon the dim video though; 'cos we were supposed to close our eyes to koon. Hee hee...

How to get a C+ (or below) for your composition

No comments :
Daddy got this composition from Uncle Bernard's blog and so decided to put it up here too... so as to remind me that this is not one of the ways to do my composition homework next time.

You can enlarge the image by clicking on it to read it... and have a few good chuckles while you are at it. Hee.
