Supermarket Sweep

3 comments :
Today we went grocery shopping... and we kids also have our very own mini-trolleys to do our marketing!

Hee hee... Daddy heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that there were 2 trolleys available. If not, me think di-di & me would be fighting over one miserable trolley lor... hahaha...

Can you tell we were having loads of fun???

Di-di was the model copycat; always mimicking my actions in the supermarket. Whenever Daddy or Mummy put stuff into my trolley, he would also want to put something into his trolley too. So in the end, Daddy & Mummy would take turns to put the groceries into our trolleys. :P

And I would always count the number of items in each of the trolleys, to make sure we each have the same number of items. Yes, I'm very anal about it.

When di-di wasn't copying me, he was pushing his trolley around like a headless chicken. So Daddy had to be the traffic policeman, to direct him. If not, confirm he sure langar people.

Well... with today being such a rainy day, it was a nice change to be shopping at the supermarket with out kids-sized trolleys. We even had a nice hot chocalate and cake after that! YUM!

Staying dry

No comments :
Since Daddy & Mummy weren't working... plus we had free passes to the zoo, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what we should do. Hee hee...

Yep, it's the zoo we would go, with kor-kor & I decked out in our swimming gear! Erm, only one minor problem though...

The water play area in the Rainforest Kidzworld was closed for maintenance! Haiz...

Luckily, we still had other things to play at Kidzworld. And so in our swimwear, we tried our hands at the obstacle course, playground, river rafts... we still had a fun time lah; only we didn't get wet lor. :P

We also went around to visit some of the animals - animals which we usually wouldn't see when we go to the zoo. 'Cos kor-kor & I would remain glued to the water playarea whenever we are there mah. Hahaha...

Me think kor-kor was more disappointed than me lah... he kept asking 'how come the water area never open?'; 'When will it open again?' ME??? Got playground enough for me liao... hee hee.

Perhaps we'll go back to the zoo soon huh? Confirm kor-kor will fully give his stamp of approval! :P

Wash Car Day

No comments :
Nothing much happened over the last weekend... it was a pretty normal one for di-di & me - going to our one enrichment class, our swimming class, meeting up with Daddy's friends for dinner, and also heading down to Kong-kong's & Por-Por's place.

Ahhh... at least this week I helped Kong-kong to wash his car. Hee hee...

The only reason why di-di wasn't helping too, was because he was still in slumberland. Hahaha... But it's okay; I can do all the work by myself.

The lower half of the car, I can still wash. But for higher areas of the car, like the bonnet, I have invented an ingenious way to do my washing.

I just throw the sponge up high onto the bonnet... and then just watch it roll down. That's how I deem it to be washed. Wahahaha...

What if the sponge is stuck up on the bonnet, you ask? Well, that's when Kong-kong comes into the picture then. :P

Frisbee Time

No comments :
Di-di and I simply love going to the beach... well, Daddy too. But only if the weather isn't TOO hot, he says. Hahaha...

So, lucky for us... Mr. Sun was taking an extended rest one fine day and of course we had to pounce on the opportunity to head down to East Coast beach!

The sky was pretty overcast, but the breeze was so shiok... can you tell we were enjoying ourselves? Hee hee...

I was preoccupied with collecting the many seashells on the beach...

... while di-di, well... erm, he was just being his usual cheekie self.

When I finished my shell collecting task, I laid them all out in one single line... just so that I could take a photo with them. Yah, boliao I know...

That was because I was waiting to play Frisbee mah! :P

Wah say, I look every bit like a professional hor? Wahahaha! But okay lah, my frisbee can still travel a decent distance wor.

Daddy & Mummy can throw it even farther lah... so that meant di-di & I must always run very far away to go pick it up. So unfriendly right?

But it was still very fun overall...

Di-di also tried his hand at it... well, he's consistent lah; 9 times out of 10, the frisbee always falls at his feet. Heh. Ok, my bad.

We both enjoyed ourselves tremendously, and the fact that the weather was cool made it even better... think Daddy would have agreed too!

Let's hope that Mr. Sun will stay behind the clouds again whenever we feel like frisbee-ing. :)

Transform, and roll out!

2 comments :
All thanks to Daddy, di-di & me are now officially huge fans of Transformers.

You know, those robots-in-disguise kind of vehicles that can transform which first appeared during Daddy's childhood in the eighties? Well, guess what... they are appearing in my childhood now.

Yep, a whole bunch of them. Hahaha...

Erm, actually I don't know who's the kid here lor... maybe Daddy's making up for lost time. Or he's just using di-di & me as a convenient excuse to collect them. Whatever it is, I'm NOT complaining.

That's my favorite transformer by the way... Good'ol Optimus Prime - leader of the Autobots.

And I don't like the Decepticons 'cos they're bad. So I always ask Daddy to be the bad guy whenever di-di & I play Transformers with him. Hee hee...

And di-di got a fave Transformer too - he's the bright & cheery Bumblebee!

Now whenever he sees a yellow car on the roads, he'll shout," HI Bumblebeeeeeee!"

Oh, and my 2nd fave is the Transformer below - Bulkhead. He's so big and easy to transform too... I even took him to school one day for my show-and-tell session.

Are you getting confused regarding the names already? Just like Mummy? Hee hee... I think she secretly feels left out whenever Daddy, di-di & me are having our Transformers talk.... kekeke...

We definitely love our Transformers very much now... so much so that they have taken control over our train table. It serves as the Autobots' headquarters now and they have to protect the railway tracks form the evil Decepticons. Hee hee... It's definitely more than meets the eye! :P

When Mummy went car boot shopping...

No comments :
Over the weekend, we made our way down to the Playground @Big Splash, 'cos there was a car boot sale going on and knowing Mummy, she was only too thrilled to be able to go shopping! Hahaha...

But I too was thrilled... because Benji kor-kor and Sarah mei-mei were also going to meet us there at well. Which only meant one thing - FUN!

Hee hee... we do look funny trying out all the funny sunglasses huh? Benji's aunty has got a stall there, so we were happily helping her to advertise her goods by donning the various accessories there. Heh.

Well, I still loved my all-time big big sunglasses the most... hahaha... After we got tired of playing dressing up, we just ran ourselves silly in the open spaces there, while Mummy was shopping herself silly too. And yes, not too much photos this time around... Daddy lazy to take lah. :P

Morning Ritual

No comments :
This must be getting to be quite a habit for kor-kor & me.

Going downstairs for a round of early cycling that is. Erm, only in my case... I'm still using my legs to power my tricycle; can't really pedal that well yet lah.

And the other part of the ritual? Munching our breakfast downstairs too.

And this always make kor-kor finish up his food in quickfire time, 'cos he loves going drivng in his 'zig-zag' car. Hee hee...

And yup, besides all the cycling, we also work out by chasing each other around the basketball court. Sometimes I chase Daddy too; so as to make him perspire a little too lah. Hahahaha...

Finally it's the weekend again tomorrow! That usually means more gai-gai time! I hope. :P

Kaylene's ONE!

No comments :
Last Sunday evening, we had an important function to attend to... 'cos Kaylene mei-mei has turned 1 year old!

Wah, think she was so thrilled to have so many people celebrating for her. Well, di-di & I were also very thrilled to see the cake... so thrilled until we fast fast chope-d the prime spots liao. :P

And to top it off, we also had goodie bags... which contained bubbles and we had great fun blowing all the soapy water together with Brandon.

The 'Happy Birthday' song was sung - both Channel 5 & 8 versions - and then the time has come for all the kids to vie for the ultimate prize! Blow candle time! Hee hee...

In the end, all of the kids were very gracious lah... we let Brandon help his mei-mei to blow out the candle. :P

Then one last photo of ALL of the kids...

... before we tuck into the yummilicious choco-cake! Happy Birthday, Kaylene!

Happy Birthday Ku-jie!

No comments :
Today is Ku-jie's Birthday... but kor-kor & I celebrated her special day with an ice cream cake earlier liao.

I am very happy when it comes to birthday celebrations you know, 'cos got birthday cake means got candles mah. Hee hee... anyway, think kor-kor is pretty pleased with himself too, 'cos he told me that he was the one who chose the cake.

Nowadays, singing the Birthday song in English isn't enough anymore... still must sing in Mandarin. So that was why I was looking at the cake so longingly lor... must wait so long before I can blow out the candles.

Finally, kor-kor & I got to snuff out the candles and assist Ku-jie to cut the cake.

And then I was waiting eagerly and hungrily to try the ice cream cake! *slurp*

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KU-JIE!!!
