Yummy Gingerbread

No comments :
Sunday was once again 'Watch Play' time again... and this time kor-kor & I caught 'The Gingerbread Man', the one story which didn't have a good ending. Well, unless if you are rooting for the fox. :P

The sets were beautifully crafted as usual...

And as usual, kor-kor & I were busy making posing for the camera once again. Anything to pass the time lah.

Mummy got into the action too...

... while Daddy wanted in too, after seeing how much fun I was having. Hahaha.

I then put my foot down, and wanted to take a series of self-portrait shots. And so began a huge barrage of silly faces & poses. Hee hee...

One last photo with kor-kor before the bell went ting-a-ling-a-ling!

We thoroughly enjoyed the play lots; kor-kor was laughing his head off most of the time. While I also laughed at the bits which I understood... even those I didn't get it, I also managed a chuckle. Erm, 'Cos other people laugh mah.

See how happy I was after the show?

*You can still catch 'The Gingerbread Man' til June 7th. Monday to Friday shows are at 9am & 11am, while Saturday & Sunday shows are at 10am & 12pm. Click here for more ticketing information.

The Transformers have landed

No comments :
Di-di & I have no school today; 'cos our teachers met up with Daddy & Mummy to share our mid-year progress with them. Which meant that Daddy & Mummy didn't need to work. Which also meant confirm we can go gai-gai too! Hee hee...

We headed down to Orchard for lunch and some jalan-jalan... which was a lucky thing too. 'Cos guess what we stumbled onto at Takashimaya???

TRANSFORMERS Live Show lor! And happiness of happiness, it's the Animated version! Wah... Today was the first show and of course di-di & I promptly picked a good seat and plonked ourselves down.

During the pre-show segment, di-di & I were called up to the stage to participate in a game - where we had to pose like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Well, we did get a prize in the end (everybody did)... although half the time, di-di was shaking his bon-bons to the Transformers theme song on stage much to the amusement of the people below. :P

And as a final treat, we got to take a photo with the 2 Autobots too!

I forgot to ask Optimus Prime where were the Decepticons though... heh.

Well, at least I got a big box of Transformers toy! Haha...

Erm, actually, it was Daddy who had been eyeing it for very long liao... and luckily for me, it was so heavily discounted at the Taka toy fair that I got to cart it home. Woot!

Swinging to the hols

No comments :
Last weekend, Kong-kong & Por-por surprised kor-kor & me by staying over at our place on Saturday night... wah, this meant that we could sleep later right? Hee hee... Well, at least we got to go to the playground while waiting for them to arrive.

Which is what kor-kor absolutely love too by the way... Me too actually; anything that has a slide and a ride or two will definitely get my undivided attention. :P

Oh, and not forgetting the swings too of course. The both of us can sit on those for the longest time... but with Daddy or Mummy to push us periodically lah.

Kor-kor told me that the school hols will be be here next week already... Gosh, that's so fast isn't it? I've already been in school for half a year... before you know it, I'll be mugging for my exams liao.

Hmmm... I wonder what programmes have Daddy & Mummy lined up for us leh???

Run monkies Run!

2 comments :
Yippee! The morning that I can get to collect another medal is finally here... hee hee... and this time around, Kong-kong & Por-por turned up as cheerleaders to egg di-di & me on!

Although we had to wake up a bit earlier than usual to make our way down to the Padang, di-di & I were both in high spirits... especially di-di lor...

Erm, maybe it had something to do with the bandana? Haha...

The weather was a bit hot though... but at least the clouds were pretty helpful in shielding parts of Mr. Sun. But hot or no hot, I was determined to finish the whole race on my own this time, unlike last year where I wanted Daddy to carry me for about 200m of the route. :P

Soon our turn to run was next, and we had a one last inspiring 'OOOSH!' before we trotted to the starting line.

And once the air horn sounded, I was off like the wind. If you didn't know better, one would have thought that I was rushing to find a toilet to relieve myself. :P

Anyway, I sprinted so fast til I had to slow down so that di-di could catch up...

But to di-di's credit, he did really well! He jogged the whole route on his own on his first attempt... yah lah, unlike me lor.

Well, I was definitely enjoying my morning run... and upon hearing that the finish line was beckoning, I quickened my pace some more...

Daddy & Mummy were also cheering di-di on... and he also jogged faster to try to catch up with me.

Finally, the feeling of accomplishment!

That's 700m down... maybe 10km next? Wahahaha...

We then received our certificates and most importantly, our finishers' medals!

What a satisfying morning workout... but it did made our tummies rumble, and so it was off for a hearty brunch after that with Kong-kong & Por-por. And back to home for a well-deserved rest after that... ahhh...

Artz

No comments :
After a trip to the doc, my cough is now slowly fading away... which is great 'cos we have the Kids' Run coming up this Sunday. And I sure don't want to miss out on collecting a medal! Hee hee... Di-di's all recovered too, and he didn't even need to see the doc. :P

Anyway, di-di & I went for an Arts Class trial lesson last weekend too... and both of us enjoyed it so much that I told Daddy & Mummy that I want to go back again next week. Hahaha...

You can't really tell, but I was really happy with my art piece. I just wanted to act all sombre in front of the camera. :P

Well, at least I was better than di-di lor... he posed in front of the cam with his art piece facing the wall! *faint*

Subdued Weekend

2 comments :
For someone who is used to planning & deciding on where to go when the weekend rolls along, it was kind of anti-climatic when I found out that Daddy & Mummy had no plans for the last weekend.

The reason? The sicko bug once again lor... I've got a cough, and di-di's got a slight running nose. Nothing too serious but the adults dictated that we have to have ample rest.

Sunday was off to Kong-kong's & Por-por's house... and we brought Por-por to Sembawang Shopping Centre for a belated Mother's Day yummy lunch at Aston's. Di-di & I kept stealing glances to the brand new splash waterpark BESIDE the restaurant, but one look at Daddy and I knew the answer was no. -_-

Well, di-di's nose has stopped going for a run liao... while my cough is still like that; getting a bit phelgmy too. As I told Mummy, " Time to go see doctor already." :P

Bowling Balls

No comments :
Ever since the last time kor-kor & I went bowling at Downtown East, we haven't been throwing any heavy balls for a long long while.

Kor-kor's fingers must be itching for it, 'cos when he heard we were going bowling, he was so excited that I had thought Optimus Prime was coming to our place for dinner instead.

The bowling alley at Kallang Leisure Park also has similar barriers which are raised when us children are bowling. Like that confirm will never go kiss the longkang. Sweet.

And compared to the first time when I bowled, I fared better this time... mainly 'cos I'm stronger now mah. But I still needed to carry the ball with both my hands and give it a strong push down the lane. Hee hee...

Kor-kor has definitely improved too!

Yah, likewise for his poses after throwing the ball... confirm improved. :P

Yet another one of his cheekie posie...

My pose?

I prefer to keep it simple and low-key.

Hahaha... Anyway, we had loads of fun, though my hands did grow tired towards the end of the game. But predictably, it ended all too soon for kor-kor... but at least Daddy said we wouldn't have to wait for another 8 months before we go for our next bowling game! :P

Lazy Day at the Beach

No comments :
When it comes to the weekend, it has become a routine for me to ask Daddy & Mummy where we will be going on Saturday. And for last Saturday, I was given the all important task to make the decision.

A decision that pleased di-di as well.

So to the ECP beach we went, and we brought along our tent as well... so that Mummy can nuah inside while we built our sandcastles. Hee hee...

It is always FUN to play with sand and water at the beach... and the weather was great too! Not too hot, not too sunny... the way Daddy likes it. :P

Di-di & I quickly got down to building our sandcastle, with me the chief engineer donning the important supervisory role.

Can see that di-di was really hard at work huh?

Alamak! Instead of a sandcastle, di-di decided to make an ice kacang instead lor... hahaha...

And all these while, Mummy was blissfully lying in the tent...reading her newspapers and enjoying the cool sea breeze...

I had even wanted to go for a dip in the sea, but too bad Daddy didn't bring his change of clothing... so we could only get our legs wet. Darn.

Daddy, though, offered to tie a rope around my hand, throw me into the sea and pull me back to the shore...

Kidding lah. Hee...

What we really did throw was Frisbee!

And we did have a blast throwing the frisbee... di-di did too; although he was chasing after it most of the time. Hahaha...

It was a fun & lazy morning at the beach... which was follwed by a yummy Japanese food lunch. Yah lah, my decision once again. Heh. Now I have to work my brain harder, and decide on where to go this coming weekend... :P
