Universal Studios Singapore - We're Back!

No comments :
After our sneak preview of the Universal Studios Singapore back in February, di-di & I have been asking Daddy & Mummy to bring us back to try the rides when the theme park is open.

And we got our wish over the weekend! And as an added bonus, we got to spend the night at the children-friendly Festive Hotel on Saturday too!

But first things first - USS together with Ye-ye & Ma-ma... :)

And our first ride of the day? Spinning ourselves silly on the Madagascar Carousel with the 4 silly friends.

I chose my fave animal - Melman the giraffe.

While di-di hopped onto his fave animal as well - Marty the zebra.

After we had spun ourselves round & round, we managed to catch sight of the runaway penguins too.

Far Far Away was next on the horizon where we caught the Shrek 4D show... it is definitely a MUST-WATCH! The seats move according to the show, and do look out for the... well, I don't want to spoil the surprise, do I? Hee hee...

We then popped over to Friar's for a quick rest and snack...

... before we headed out to conquer the rest of the park.

Oh, luckily Daddy remembered that the last time we were here for the preview, di-di & I mentioned that we had wanted to go on the Fairy Godmother's Magic Potion Spin ride.

And so we did. *beams*

We then trekked over to Jurassic Park where many dinosaurs awaited us... particularly the Dino Soarin' ride which I had also put into my 'To-ride' list the last time we were here. Heh.

We passed by Ancient Egypt , where I had to wanted to try out the 'Treasure Hunters' ride but alas, the queue was pretty long so we decided to proceed to Sci-Fi City first.

Tall fellas huh?

Well at least, di-di & I were able to go onto this spinning ride... which is a lot like those spinning tea cups at most of the theme parks but only more spacey & futuristic-looking. Hee.

All those rides were starting to make us really hungry and no prizes for guessing what I chose to eat!

Check out the ENORMOUS pizza!!! Wah!

And what do you know, the same street dance performance that we watched the last time was on again... and di-di once again gamely stepped up to the challenge. Hahaha...

Me? I was feeling a little shy lah... so it was di-di's turn to WOW the crowd!

I might be biased, but I think the loudest claps and cheers belonged to di-di. Hahahaha!

Then it was time to head to the Waterworld set to catch the live action stunt show.

Yet another must-watch show at USS - full of thrills, spills, explosions, bangs... everything! Remember, if you want to get wet, just plonk yourself on the green & blue coloured benches at the viewing gallery. Confirm a splashing good time! :P

After the show, it was time to check into our room at Festive Hotel. So we decided to take a short rest in our room first before heading back to USS again later in the afternoon. And looked who we bumped into near the exit?

It had been a really good time at the theme park thus far... it wasn't too crowded, there were queues with waiting times ranging from 20 to 45 minutes at some of the more popular rides but that's expected.

So hopefully the crowds would have thinned a little by the time we are back from our short recharge! :)

Småland

No comments :
Every time Daddy & Mummy bring di-di & me to Ikea, I have for the longest time been wanting to go play in the Småland area. It certainly looks very fun to me! But every time, either there're lots of kids waiting to enter OR di-di is still way too short to enter. :P

But not anymore!

Yep, we finally had the chance to enter Småland and you should have seen me go! Well, di-di kinda went absolutely nuts too lah. Hahahaha...

Only di-di was so patient to pose for Daddy lor... I was somewhere inside, too caught up with all the action.

And what of Daddy & Mummy?

YAH, Relax they did! Hahahaha...

First Commercial

1 comment :
We didn't explore any interesting places over the weekend, primarily 'cos di-di & I were selected to appear in a new commercial for Crocs. Yup, our very first ad... and to think it is related to the footwear that both of us wear most of the time. Hee hee...

And so, the whole of Saturday morning was spent in Alexander Park for the shoot. And oh, Daddy was roped in as well... 'cos in the ad, we're portraying the family bond through play.

Hahaha... too cheem for di-di & me lah. All we knew was that there were the remote control truck & helicopter for us to keep us entertained as the camera rolled. :P

And yep, Daddy & Mummy must admit that both of us were pretty cooperative... hor? Hee hee...

And when everything was a wrap, we took a well-deserved break. And drink.

And not a moment too soon, 'cos it started to pour soon after we were packing up to to leave... Phew!

So now, we just wait for the ad. :)

Tai-por's 82nd Birthday

No comments :
Besides meeting up with Timo & Beth last Sunday, we too had a Birthday lunch for Tai-por! And please say hello to the newest addition to Mummy's family - Baby Jaeden.

He so cute hor... look like Marshmallow Man. Hee hee... But luckily Baby Jaeden still can't jostle with us to blow out the candles on the birthday cake. Yet.

And of course I declared myself to be the official photographer for Tai-por's birthday lunch. So how, looked pretty pro right? :P

Yah lah, I also know I blocked Tai-por's face with the big head of mine.

But I did sing the Birthday Song at the top of my voice. Ditto for di-di.

And finally, we got to help Tai-por snuff out the candles and cut the cake!

And a perfect end to the birthday lunch - one big kiss for Tai-por! :)

After lunch, everyone then came over to our place for swimming... no need to say, di-di & I missed our afternoon naps and we konked out at 8pm that night. Heh.

Easter Sunday

No comments :
It was the long Easter weekend last week, and what better way to spend the Sunday morning than to meet up with our buddies, Timo & Bethany, over breakfast!

You should have seen us nearly bring the whole cafe down with our incessant chattering and booming voices... making all of parents so paiseh only. Hee hee...

Jurong East Swimming Complex

No comments :
You know, if there is just only one thing that di-di & I absolutely love doing and that would be swimming!

Both of us monkies simply love to play when it comes to water, and when Daddy & Mummy announced that we were going to check out the Jurong East Swimming Complex, we were both naturally thrilled to bits.

We had been wanting to go there everytime when we drive past the complex, 'cos it just looks so fun with all the winding slides from afar. And yep, finally, di-di & I had the chance to create havoc in the swimming complex... with the children's pool being targeted first. Hee.

There's also this huge wave pool, where artificial waves are simulated to bob us up and down...

Obviously, we enjoyed it lots! :P

And when the waves died down, we were off to join in the river channel on our floats and let the currents carry us around the swim complex.

I also forgot how many rounds we went already... hahahaha...

All we knew was when we were done with that, we were back at the wave pool to challenge the waves. Again.

Well, of course we had a short snack break, and erm a toilet break too. Hee hee...

All in all, a great day out at the pools... though it was a pity we couldn't go onto the monstrous winding slides 'cos the minimum height was 1.2m. But no matter, it just gives us a good reason to head on back again next time! Hahahaha...

And as added bonus, KFC & Pizza Hut are both strategically located beside the pools, so yes, I got to enjoy my fave pizza while di-di savoured his drumstick. Yums!!!
