1st Birthday Celebrations: Day Three

No comments :
Day 3 was still a public holiday but we had no guests to entertain 'cos it was just a day to relak and nuah.

Like the previous night, I did not really have a good sleep again. Woke up quite a number of times; think it must really have been the unfamiliar bed that I was sleeping on. Hee.

So anyway, I woke up at about 9am and had my breakfast on my bike. It's getting more and more difficult to feed me, because I always squirm around and Daddy or Mummy have to aim the spoon properly so that it goes into my mouth, not up my nostrils. Hahaha...

So as evidence to show my faithful readers, Daddy took lots of photos of me in action again, climbing and turning in my bike seat during feeding time. Daddy also helped me put on my party hat (which I absolutely hate 'cos I simply don't like things on my head be it a cap or bird poo :P). Actually hor, the party hat was meant for my party the day before wan, but silly Mummy was so forgetful that she forgot to distribute the hats to the other kids & babies who were present. Heh heh...So I have plenty of hats now!

Here's me, in a classic ah beng pose. :P

After rest rest a bit, I went for my long overdue swimming session.

There was this little baby girl there too, who was about 2 months younger than me. It was her first time being put into the swimming pool, so of course being the more experience one, I had to act macho and show her the ropes. Just kidding. But she did play with my water toys though (although she never ask me leh). But I still let her play lor 'cos sekali if I snatch back she cry ah...hee hee...

It was really a fun time playing with the water and I was happily splashing the water everywhere, including onto my face. So here are some more pictures of me frolicking in the water... :)

Overall it had been a fun 3 days, with lots of people, food and of course PRESENTS! Hahaha... But I think Daddy & Mummy must be really tired from all the fanfare, 'cos when I asked them about my 2nd birthday when we were in bed together, they just snored very loudly. Hmmm...

1st Birthday Celebrations: Day Two

2 comments :
I didn't really sleep well during the 1st night at the chalet, probably because I was sleeping in a foreign room on a foreign bed. So somehow the smell of the mattress just wasn't right. I woke up quite a few times in the middle of the night, but there was this particular bad one where I woke up crying very loudly. So Daddy had to carry me and pat me back to sleep.

But I wasn't going to let this affect my 2nd day! Hee hee...

I woke up at about 9am, had breakfast with Daddy, Mummy, Kong-kong & Por-por and I was raring to explore the resort - on my trusty bike that Kong-kong had brought to the chalet for me! :)

Yep, I sure was in high spirits and I kept turning the bike handles to and fro just so to let Daddy know that I was waiting impatiently for him to bring me around the resort. Hahaha...

Daddy brought me to the beach first, and I just sat quietly in my bike looking at the people and things around me. There were lots of people camping by the beach, with the occasional people fishing at the breakwaters. The sea breeze was shiok too, and luckily the sun wasn't shining too strongly.

Perfect for a morning tan. :P

And as expected, Daddy went bonkers with his digicam - again. And this time, he took so many photos of me sticking my tongue out; so unglam right??? I told him not to put the photos on my blog liao, but Daddy bo hiew me...

Oh, and in case you are wondering about the mark on my forehead between the eyes...it's a cut I got last week at Grandma's place when I fell down while standing and hit myself on a basket. I know, not handsome liao...heng the scar went away already. Hee.

From the beach, we headed onto the kids' playroom at the resort. There were so many things to play there - got a slide, swing, obstacles that you can climb up & down and also an area filled with colourful balls. Since I'm not that mobile yet, Daddy placed me in the balls area and just watched me attempt to 'swim' through the balls.

Soon it was time to go back for my afternoon nap. And this time, my body was more cooperative compared to the day before - I slept for one hour. :P

Day 2 was for Daddy's & Mummy's friends and they were scheduled to arrive from 5pm onwards. Mummy told me that we would be expecting quite number of babies as well, which is great 'cos I just love interacting and playing with them! So fun!

And so, we proceeded to cut my 2nd cake of the week! :)

This cake also very nice hor? I like my name being spelt out at the side of the cake using cookies; that's a really yummy idea! Hee... Speaking of yummy, the cake is a chocolate-banana cake and everyone who ate the cake gave it 2 thumbs up! Some even went for second helpings ah...no wonder got none left for me lah. As usual.

As like the previous night, everyone also sang the 'Happy Birthday' anthem to me, while Mummy was my designated official candle-blower again. Hee. Daddy guided me to cut my cake and this time, not so sim tia lah; 'cos got no Elmo head to cut. Hahaha... And yet again, I got to taste a bit of the cake, though I wanted one whole slice initially. :P

As the night wore on, I was getting more and more sleepy liao. According to Mummy, I was acting like a drunkard; falling on my face while crawling halfway. Now I think back, it does look funny. So that was why some of the adults were laughing at me that night lah...hmph!

So bopian lor, I've got to go hug my bolster and sleep. BUT not before taking a look at my presents collected for the 2nd day! Heh heh...

OOH...can't wait to open my presents! :)

Part 3 coming right up: The final day of my chalet getaway (where I went for my long overdue swim and hooked up with a babe - again! :P).

1st Birthday Celebrations: Day One

2 comments :
We checked into the chalet at about 3pm on Saturday; and Grandma & Ku-jie were already there waiting for us. I didn't know that they were more kiasu than me...hahaha...

Woah, the place was really big! There's the living room, dining room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 1 huge area outside the chalet for BBQ. Daddy was saying heng we no need to clean up the whole chalet after the parties; if not he surely peng san lah. Hee...

Day ONE was for my family and relatives; and they were coming at 6pm. Which means that we, or rather Daddy & Mummy, had to put up my birthday decorations fast. Haha... I just sit there and shake leg. :p

So up went the poster that says "The Party's here!" and a banner that says "Happy 1st Birthday!". Balloons were also put up, but Daddy was in charge of that 'cos Mummy is terrified of those harmless elastic objects. Heh.

Me? I not afraid wan lah; I can just grab 1 balloon and squeeze it with my hands, while seeing Mummy's horrified face go into 100 different contortions at the same time. HAHAHA...

Soon, the guests started to arrive and I had to go change into my brand new birthday clothes (from FOX Baby lah, where else right? :P). There were so many people! And of course, there were so many presents...for me too! Kekeke...

Obviously, I was the main attraction for the night (yes I know, not shy again) and many people wanted to carry me and take photos with me. I pretty much obliged, though I got a bit cranky later in the night mainly because I only slept 1/2 hour for the whole of the afternoon! Dunno why leh, I just couldn't sleep for long in the afternoon...maybe I was too excited liao.

So anyhow, here's one of the photo I took with my pretty cousin, Megan.

She pretty hor? Daddy says must be the his family genes lah. Well, all I'm going to say is horse dunno face long ah. HAHAHAHAHA...

There were lots of food to go around; some cooked food and the rest were BBQ stuff. As usual, I can only watch and swallow saliva while the adults happily tucked away in their food fest.

Soon it was time to cut my birthday cake!

My birthday cake nice? Swee hor...I like it very much you know, 'cos got Elmo. I like his chart-topping song a lot; this song called 'Elmo's Song'. Everytime when Daddy or Mummy play this song for me to hear, I'll start humming to the song, by making soft noises to the tune of the music. Although it's not in tune, but my guess is that Daddy & Mummy prefer my humming to elmo's original version. Hee hee...

Anyway, back to my party. :P

Everyone clapped and sang 'Happy Birthday' to me, and then I authorized Mummy to blow the candle on my behalf. BUT I've made up my mind that I want to do that on my own on my 2nd birthday. :) Then Daddy placed the plastic knife in my hand and guided me to cut my cake. Wah, very sim tia leh... 'cos I cut Elmo's head into 2. Heh...

And of course, how could I pass up the chance to taste my own cake??? So Daddy kindly swiped some off from the knife and let me ate some. And one word - SHIOK!

Soon it was time for everyone to go home liao; and I had to go sleep to recharge my batteries for the next day. But not before I took a good look at all my loot for the day!

Wah, so many presents hor? But Daddy said I must koon first, then can open presents the next day. Ok lor...I can't argue with that. 'Cos he's holding my angpow money ransom. :P

Next up - Day Two!

Happy like bird!

Yep people, I'm BACK! From my 2 day birthday celebrations that is. :)

It's been really fun, but I also think that it had been tiring for my Daddy & Mummy too. Oh well, it's my celebration anyway so I can't be the one doing ALL the work hor? Hahaha...

We took lots and lots of photos but I think I must give some time to Daddy for him to compile them and write the entries for the blog first. Cannot be too kancheong and hurry him too much lah, sekali he never return my angpow money then cham liao lah...Hee. So in the meantime, here are just 2 photos from my chalet getaway over the Christmas weekend!

And oh yes, I received loads of prezzies too! Gotta go and play with them now...Heh.

My 1-year old photobook

10 comments :

I've got my very own photobook, detailing my first year in this world! Hee... :)

Actually, Daddy made this photobook as a Christmas present for Mummy (& ME!) and I'm 100% sure that Mummy loved it! Hahaha...

It's actually quite idiot-proof lah; 'cos this printing company in Malaysia came out with a software and Daddy just had to decide on the layout, place the photos in the pages & also type in the text. Then he uploaded the book to the company and VOILA! They printed the book, bound it together with a hardcover and shipped it to him.

Easy right? I also say man... Hee.

So here are some of the pages in the photobook; there are 20 pages in all. Daddy made the book in the form of a scrapbook.

Nice or not? :)

So exciting!

No comments :
I'll be celebrating my ONE year old birthday this coming weekend! WOOHOO!

Actually, my birthday is on 3rd Jan 2006 lah, but Daddy & Mummy decided to bring the celebrations forward since it's a festive period and it's a perfect excuse for a Christmas party too! Suibian lor...as long as got PRESENTS & yummy CAKE can already! Hee...

So we'll all be going to a chalet for my birthday party (hope the bed is comfy there...heh) and we'll have 2 parties! Saturday is for family & relatives while Sunday is for Daddy's & Mummy's friends. Mummy says there'll be quite a few babies attending too (not to mention a few preggy mummies! :P), so me think it'll be lots of fun! Yippee!

Can't wait can't wait can't wait! :P

Ok ok ok, on a totally different note, here are some photos taken last month. As you can probably notice, my hair was still long then. Heh.

We were at Suntec (again) when we came across this nice little swing at the children's level. So Daddy promptly plopped me down on it.

I quite enjoyed it lah, as evident from the photos. Only thing was that Daddy didn't bring his digicam along, but how can miss a photo-taking opportunity right??? So Daddy had to just make do with his camera phone (again). Hee hee...
