Mei-mei's first Party

Mei-mei's finally 4 weeks old!!! Hip hip hooray!!! So we did the best logical thing - we threw a party (and invited all my buddies so that we can all party together!).

And since it was Alethea's special day, she was all dolled up and dressed in her best. :)

And together with all the yummy food, di-di & I placed the red eggs we had assisted to make the night before on the buffet table... and we were all set!

The guests soon arrived and while all the adults mingled, most were fawning over little mei-mei who was actually oblivious to all the attention and continued in her deep slumber. :P

I, too had to showcase my big kor-kor role and offered to look after her...

But it was fleeting lah... 'cos all my friends were here as well mah, so I had to entertain them... by erm, going swimming with them in the pool! Hee hee...

But I'm sure the adults and mei-mei had lots of fun too. :P

Happy one month, mei-mei!!! Now you can tag along when we go out too!!! :)

Happy One Month, Alethea!

4 weeks have zoomed by pretty quick, and our dear Strawberry Shortcake is one month old!

I think mei-mei is also shocked at how time flies... hee hee...

So we threw her a first month bash with all our friends & relatives this afternoon, and di-di & I sure made ourselves useful by helping to make all the red eggs!

It sure was fun getting ALL our fingers red... hahaha...

The school holidays thus far...

It has been a fruitful school holidays so far for us monkies... extremely fruitful if you add in our small stomach flu episode. :P But at least that's behind us now, and we can continue to have loads of fun til the end of the year! Hee.

Anyway, we DID have our fair share of fun... with a dose of playtime at Jacob Ballas Garden always doing the trick!

We even met up with Benji last Friday... no, not to test toys for the Christmas season...

But to catch a movie together - Megamind!!!

I enjoyed it... though Daddy preferred 'Despicable Me' more. :P

And on certain mornings when Mr. Sun comes out to greet us, we bring mei-mei down to the playground for her to get a suntan... and erm, of course we get to run amok at the playground too! Hee hee...

And last night, just so that we have recovered from our flu, Daddy brought us down to Jurong Point to look at some Hot Wheels Battleforce 5 toys!

Yah, it is our current craze now... hahaha... so you know what to get us for our X'mas presents this year hor??? :P

Hopefully there'll be more fun activities to come!!! :)

Whopper Bar Birthday Party!

Yesterday, kor-kor & I attended Baby Nate's one year old party bash, and it was at quite a unique place - the Burger's King Whopper Bar at Clarke Quay.

Pardon the monkie face... 'cos I was deciding what to order from the menu. Hee hee...

Yup, we could order whatever there is on the menu and we don't have to pay the jie-jie! (Daddy's note: Now that's a fallacy... obviously the angpow paved the way. :P)

And here's King Nate with his beaming parents... all ready to blow his one candle! :)

Hmmm... maybe I should offer my candle-blowing services instead huh... hahaha...

But at least the cake's nice... but kor-kor & I didn't try lah; Brandon & Kaylene told us...

You see, we weren't feeling too well at that time... most probably we caught a mild gastric flu bug 'cos we vomited a few times that following night. :(

Happy Birthday Ma-ma!

Last Friday was Ma-ma's Birthday, and it was also Alethea's first trip to Ye-ye's & Ma-ma's house as we headed down for a celebration!

Di-di & I were all too excited to show off our brand new sibling to everybody... and all too eager to carry her as well! Hee hee...

Even Tai-por wanted to cuddle her as well... :)

Ma-ma didn't want a birthday cake this time around, so we got her a pint of maoshanwang durian ice cream instead! Hahaha...

Well, at least we still sang her the Birthday Song at the top of our voices! Happy Birthday, Ma-ma!!!

Safety on the Roads

Having mei-mei around the house has definitely liven up the household... erm, not that our house isn't noisy enough already with us 2 monkies around. Hee hee... but somehow having to fuss over someone is kind of fun. So far. :P

And so, Mummy told us that she has to be stuck at home during Alethea's first month. It's something called confinement. What is it exactly, I didn't really bother to ask. Because my next question to Mummy was - You mean we can't go out at all too???

Haaaa... Luckily, it doesn't mean di-di & I have to be confined as well. So off went Daddy, di-di & me during one morning to the East Coast, on our skate scooters!

Why do I get the feeling that mei-mei wanted to join us so badly?

Next time lah, dear Alethea. :P

Daddy brought us to the Road Safety Park at East Coast, to let us ride our scooters freely!

Well, not exactly freely 'cos we have to obey the traffic rules within the park you know.

The Road Safety Park was a place which Daddy & Mummy went when they were in primary school, and it was there where students are taught basic traffic regulations. But now, it is open to the public everyday so that children of all ages can benefit. :)

Di-di & I definitely enjoyed our time in the park, 'cos it has just like the real traffic conditions, even with a pretrol station for us to refuel our scooters. Hee hee...

With that, we were ready to set our once again to explore the rest of the park!

We even parked our 'vehicles' in one of the carparks and played the role of a pedestrian.

But I have to admit, having your own set of wheels is definitely less tiring... and faster! Heh.

We got our cue to leave when our tummies rumbled... and no prizes for guessing what we wanted to eat when Daddy let us choose...

SUSHI! Yum yum yum! I think it made Mummy a teeny weeny envious. Hahaha... Never mind, Mummy! We'll bring you and mei-mei back again next time when you are released! :P

Alethea's Chinese name

洪宇忻 (hóng yǔ xīn)

That's mei-mei's Chinese name. :)

宇 means the Universe, while 忻 carries meaning of happiness.

So Daddy & Mummy wish that mei-mei will have all the happiness in the universe for the entire part of her life. Hee.

The 3 monkies reunite

Last Saturday marked the first time that all 3 of us (Di-di, mei-mei & me) got together!

You see, di-di had chicken pox a few days before Mummy delivered mei-mei... so he had to be quarantined at Ma-ma's house for a few days when mei-mei came back from the hospital.

Poor Ayd right??? :(

But now, he's back home with all the rest of us... and the group of CHEEKIEMONKIES is now complete!

Already, both di-di & I are fussing over Alethea so very much! If we are not lamenting how come she takes such looooong naps, then we would be fighting over who to carry her... hee hee...

But one thing's for certain - both of us will the protective kor-kors as she grows!

Did I say I love Alethea???

Ever since Alethea came back from the hospital, I have been relishing my role as the big kor-kor of the house!

If she cries, I will be the first to run to her and try to pacify her. If she's awake, I will sing some songs to keep her entertained. And if she's in need for a bath, I will fight with Daddy to bathe her!

I been taking my job very very very seriously. Heh.

When we had to bring her back to the pead for a follow-up, I even carried her rattle in my pocket so that I can use it to pacify her in case she cries! Thoughtful hor? :P

So yes, I simply adore and love new new mei-mei to bits!

If only she doesn't have to sleep so much.... then she can play with me for a longer time! Hahahaha...

Mei-mei's a little bit jaundiced; nothing too serious the doctor said so we would just have to bring her to tan under the morning sun. Daddy thought why not go on a beach holiday, like Phuket or Redang??? Hahahaha... nice try, Daddy. :P

So anyway, mei-mei has got to bake under Mr. Sun every morning and hopefully, the jaundice level will come down. I don't think she will have it worse than me though. Mummy said I had to be hospitalised last time when I was just born due to the high jaundice level. It's a good thing I don't remember that lor.

And after all the suntanning, it's usually time for me to give a daily cuddle & kiss to Alethea! :)
