Dora Squarepants & Spongebob the Explorer

2 comments :
You know it is Christmas time again when all these big cartoon costume characters start paying visits after visits to our local shopping malls.

Yep, it sure definitely is Christmas when Daddy starts to groan about having to join the queue of silly parents and noisy kids just to watch the performances.

But groans or no groans, Daddy took time off yesterday to bring me down to watch Dora the Explorer live in the flesh. Actually I prefer Boots the monkey more lah. Hahaha... But it sure was a nice show, and towards the end I joined in the clapping and dancing too. At least I enjoyed it which made it worth the effort, Daddy reasoned. :P

As an added bonus, I got to take a photo with the both of them too!

And for an even doubly added bonus, Spongebob Squarepants & Patrick Star also joined in the fun... of course we also go take photo lah. Hee hee...

Next up - Barney! kekeke... or so I hope!

Fully toilet trained?

No comments :
There was this one night last week where Daddy & Mummy forgot to let me put on my diapers before going to bed. So imagine the shock on their faces the next morning when they realised what they had forgotten to do.

Just picture 2 adults bending down to my mattress and sniffing away to see if there were any traces of my yellow liquid. Hee hee... pity I can't operate the video cam.

But to their surprise, I didn't pee a single time throughout the night! Incredulous! Underwear, pants and mattress were as dry as they could be. So of course Daddy & Mummy happy like bird lah; they kept praising me I so clever, so this, so that... I must admit, it made me feel kind of proud. 'Cos I was wearing this wide grin on my face everytime they rained their praises down on me. :P

So am I really ready to go diaper-free forever? As it is now, I don't wear diapers when I'm awake, only when I go to bed at night. Curious for the answer, Daddy & Mummy decided to experiment again the following night.

The result?

I leaked.

Mickey LIVE!

No comments :
Yep, as heavily requested by me, we were at the Indoor Stadium last Saturday to catch the Mickey's Magic show.

Well, what else is there to say about the show? It was marvellously fantastic! It was shiok to see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald & Daisy dancing and performing magic tricks. And as always, my butt was glued to the chair while my eyes were glued to the stage.

Di-di, on the other hand, only managed to sit still for the first half of the show. After the intermission, he refused to sit quietly liao. He just kept wanting to walk around, so Daddy had to bring him to the back to let him roam behind. Better lah, after that he disturb me how? Hee hee...

Look who flew in to visit me!

2 comments :
.It's Mickey!!! He must have missed us very much!

Hee hee hee... no lah, he's one busy mouse. Actually, he's here to put up a magic show, specially during the school holidays. Just so happened that Daddy heng heng got some Meet & Greet passes to see Mickey. So of course di-di and me grab the chance lah!

And for an added bonus, Goofy dropped by too!

Look at how happy I was. Hahaha... which was a good thing. 'Cos Daddy and Mummy were not intending to bring us to watch the show anyway, since we just got back from Hong Kong Disneyland.

Mickey and Goofy were still as friendly as ever, since the last time I saw them. Well at least I think so lah, 'cos the smiles on their faces were still as broad as before. Like never change leh. :P

Before I went for the session, I already told Daddy what I want to do when I met Mickey - kiss him, hug him, shake him... i mean his hand.

Di-di, on the other hand, was perpetually star-struck. He just kept staring at them, even when taking photos. How rude! Hee.

Did I mention we were not going for the Mickey Magic Show?

Yah, that WAS the plan.

I'm happy to report that Daddy & Mummy have changed their minds. MUAHAHAHAHA! Why ah? 'Cos when I was taking photos with Mickey & Goofy, I kept asking them to dance! Hahahaha... I was expecting them to hop onto a stage and break out in song and dance! :P

So we'll be going for the show tomorrow lah. YIPPEE YIPPEE YAY YAY!!! Make that double the YAY! Since di-di would be ecstatic too.

After the Meet & Greet session, we went down to Takashimaya for some jalan-jalan. And would you believe it... look at who I bumped into...

It must be di-di's and my lucky day! Hahaha...

Elmo was there actually for a Christmas performance and some of the other Sesame Street gang were there too.

No need to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Pity that we couldn't get into the official seating area in front of the stage. But good enough lah, at least I still managed to watch the show. Di-di fell asleep while waiting for the show to start though. HA!

Show came and went, and along went my energy too. 'Cos I was so sleepy after that. Heehee...

So it was time go back liao... time to recharge for other shows! My intel sources tell me that for this Christmas, Barney also dropped in for a visit. Oh oh oh... and Thomas the Tank Engine too! Now if I could only con... i mean, convince Daddy & Mummy to bring us there. :P

Rojak bunch of vids

1 comment :
Here're some videos that Daddy had finally found the time to upload and share them here.

But seriously, if you ask me... I think there's a dearth of photos right now lah. Hahaha...

Hokie, anyway... first embarassing video shows me practising my vocal chords, singing a song that I completely made up on my own and jiggling my butt. And when Mummy asked me where I learnt the song from, I said, 'From radio.' With an ever so straight face.

Second one shows di-di's favourite hobby now - walking.

And lastly, with absolutely no relation to the other two videos, here's a long overdue clip of us monkeying around during our Hong Kong trip in September. Basically, I'm... well.... erm, just being the bossy, i mean, protective kor-kor that all good kor-kors should be!:P

DIY Home

1 comment :
I've got a new pet - and it's a lamb!

It's pretty obedient so far, only baa-ing when it wants attention. And I've just to stroke its back to keep him happy. Hee hee...

So yesterday, together with Daddy's help, I used a cardboard box to make a new home for my lamb. Bo pian lah... now with property prices keep shooting up, it makes more sense to DIY your own pad. And a 1-bedroom at that. :P

Not bad huh? Yah, his name is Lamb Chop. Makes Daddy feel hungry everytime I call out his name. Hahahaha...

Got window and door; and also his own garden somemore. I stuck the paper onto the box and also helped out in the colouring too! There're even handles on the house for me to carry it. Which means Lamb Chop gets to follow me around too!

Starting school soon!

No comments :
Today's my school orientation! And boy, was I very very excited!

Erm, actually I was just excited about seeing the teachers... 'cos half the time when I was there, I was just mumbling, 'Where teachers? Where teachers?' Well, considering the concept of school is relatively still new to me, one can't really expect me to expect much of school. Yet.

So anyway, Ma-ma, Ye-ye & Ku-jie all tagged along together with Daddy and di-di. Mummy couldn't make it 'cos she had to work. Think all the adults like more excited than me leh. Hahahaha...

I was pretty nonchalant about it. Seriously. All I cared was the playground outside the classroom. Hee hee... yea, old habits die hard.

We did the usual admin stuff; like buying the school uniforms, taking a look at my classroom-to-be, having a briefing with the teachers, etc... all in great anticipation of the the next big phase in my life come 2nd Jan 2008!

Bonding Time

No comments :
After we had gone for kor-kor's school orientation today, kor-kor wanted to follow Ma-ma & Ye-ye back home. So off he went while Daddy brought me back home for my long overdue morning nap.

I had my lunch at home when I woke up; and Daddy decided to bring me out to jalan-jalan since we had to fetch Mummy from work later. I think it was the very first time that I had Daddy all to myself! Hahahaha.... 'cos half the time kor-kor would be tagging along. Hee...

Daddy brought me shopping, where I had great fun playing in the toys department. But none of the toys followed me out of the shops though. Drats.

As we were waiting for Mummy to be done, we dropped by Fort Canning Park for a brisk afternoon walk. But really, it was just an excuse for Daddy to take some photos again.

Not that I am grumbling lah... 'cos I just love walking now. Daddy's just waiting the time to come when I'll be clamouring to be carried instead. Like what kor-kor is doing now when he's out. Hahaha...

Perfectly overcast afternoon, where it is not too hot... just right for my little feet to go trotting.

Can you tell I'm in a stupendous mood? :P

It was a nice short time out with Daddy. Maybe we should do this again sometime, minus kor-kor! Hee hee... no lah, me not so bad. He can tag along if he wants to. :)

It's Sentosa. Again.

No comments :
Yup, it's the 3rd time this year that we were back at Sentosa to nuah. Not that I am complaining of course!

We were back at Siloso Beach Resort for a one night retreat over last weekend. And one thing that Daddy learnt - was to NEVER EVER tell me beforehand what we were going to do for the weekend. Well, at least not 2 days in advance anyway.

Why?

'Cos I was just harping on it and going, 'Ashton want go to hotel room... Ashton want go to hotel room...' whenever my brain reminded me. Hee hee hee... Which nearly made Daddy want to pull out all his hair and go jump into the sharks tank at Underwater World. Oops.

Anyway, Daddy manage to tahan til then lah, and check us all into the hotel in one piece. And after the standard exploration of the bathroom & testing the strength of the coils in the mattress (by jumping), we made our way to VivoCity for some good ol'jalan-jalan...

... and makan of course!

And what's dinner without some dessert too right?

Luckily for di-di and me, dessert was in the form of kiddie rides. :P

Then it was off to see the musical light cum water show!

It was my second time watching this. But since Ma-ma & Ye-ye haven't watched it before, I took it upon myself to describe the show to them beforehand. Yah, 'cos got fire and fireworks mah... sekali they kena frightened, how? Heh. Daddy & Mummy were so amazed that I could still remember so vividly that I watched the show before.

The show was still as fantastic to me, with the fireworks being the main draw for me as usual.

Then it was back to the hotel for some snooze. 'Cos there was this really yummy breakfast waiting for us the next morning!

See di-di's face I know he can't wait liao...

Actually me too lah... but the adults have this idea of snapping whatever activties we do. So bopian lor, have to take photos while my poor food turned cold. So sad.

Time to work off the calories after breakfast, and so I was off for my walk while Daddy was still stuffing his mouth like a hamster in the cafe. :P

I could never forgive myself if I didn't pay the beach a visit too! After all we were at Sentosa... hahaha...

Di-di, as usual, needed some time to get acquainted with the sand again.

Yes yes, it took a few cries and screams. But generally he dealt with it quite well after that. By taking over my sand toys lor!

Oh well, got sand and sea I already ultra happy liao...

I even got my own personal lifeguard! Hee hee...

Then it was back to the hotel room to wash up and get ready for the dreaded words - GO BACK HOME ALREADY.

But not before indulging in some more smiling poses for the camera...

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The next day was Ma-ma's actual birthday date, so Ku-jie brought us cheekiemonkies, together with Ma-ma & Ye-ye, to Swensen's for some yummy ice cream!

See lah... got food then di-di so happy again. Mouth open so big somemore! Hahahaha...

Actually I also can't wait lah... but you know lah, must take photos. Again.

Ma-ma got a free ice cream there 'cos it was her birthday. Which meant happiness for me too, 'cos I got to blow the candles too! Hee hee... And no need to say, I walloped quite a fair bit of the ice cream. Oh, and fries too. :P

BURP!

Heng Daddy & Mummy were not around, if not... sure got competition for my ice cream & fries! kekekeke...

Our fave activity

No comments :
Seems like nowadays when Daddy & Mummy want to tire us out, they'll just bring us to the swimming pool.

Hahaha... actually no lah, it's really because di-di and me love going swmming so much.

Well...... technically we can't swim yet. So I'll usually walk around in the swimming pool, splashing water everywhere.

While di-di also does more or less the same things - walking around endlessly. I think his stamina is even better than mine. Heh.

I especially like those pools that have a children's slide or some other play area in the pool. It's like having the best of both worlds; a playground in water. Hahaha...

Di-di still can't join me on the slides for now though... he'll usually stick to his kiddie rides for now.

But the funny thing is... no matter long we are in the sun, di-di forever still looks so fair, like he ate tau huay all his life. Me ah? The chao-ta index still keeps rising whenever I come out from the sun, no matter how thick slabs of sunscreen Mummy plasters onto me.
